  1. Win the first game. Gives you the best chance to win the series. Let's go Lohse!
  2. Maybe we make a move for a shortstop, trade Rickie and platoon Segura & Scooter together.
  3. I guess I didn't realize that Herrera should've actually caught the ball. It hit his mit a foot off the ground. I don't care if he was a catcher or a fan. That's just plain bad hand/eye coordination. Not having another RHP in the pen will kill this team down the stretch. A move has to be done. Let's see what Jeffrees can do.
  4. We need another RHP power arm in the pen. Wooten just usbt it and I don't think Thornburg is either.
  5. 2 @ TOR 1-1 3 @ CIN 1-2 4 vs PHI 3-1 3 vs STL 1-2 3 @ WAS 1-2 3 vs CIN 2-1 4 vs NYM 3-1 3 @ TB 2-1 14-11 is my guess. I'll just take another winning month. It'd be a step closer to a playoff spot. AL wins all star game 4-2.
  6. Reynolds wow. Been awhile since he's been useful offensively. Just trade for Moreneu and have him just over to the clubhouse after the game.
  7. I've always wondered why teams don't take more bases on him. Hopefully we battle back but if we don't, we were due for a bad game.
  8. Lyle has been pretty good in the past month. .310 BA/.396 OBP/.452 SLG for a .848 OPS with smacking in 9 RBI's and 1 HR. If he continues that, I doubt we'll make a move because it just doesn't make sense to. Reynolds has been the let down over the past month. His line of .243 BA/.384 OBP/.329 SLG for an .712 OPS and only 6 RBI's with only 1 HR. If he's not going to hit for a high average then when he does hit it, he needs to make a dent wit his slugging. Still nice to see him getting on base though. Hopefully we are just in a lull and he'll get hot when others cool down. That's what great teams do.
  9. Herrera's 2nd time around has been a complete 180 from his first.
  10. Yikes. Hopefully neither injury turns out serious. And this game sure got a lot more interesting now.
  11. Man I will feel really bad for Overbay if we do make a move and he's the odd man out. Not saying we shouldn't aquire Moreneu, but it's hard to let go of a good quality guy like Overbay.
  12. He should be brought up now. Figs can be sent back down as he is only an emergency pickup guy. In a perfect world, we somehow get Wang in a trade amd send him down too and bring up a 5th bench player.
  13. Yes. Yes. Yes! First to 50. Let's be first to 100 too! Love it! Nice job Braun, way to come through.
  14. Krod throws too many breaking balls every so often. Still need to use that fastball to set up other pitches. The Rutledge homer should've never been thrown.
  15. Maybe we'll exercise the option on Weeks and have the best 2B combo in the league again next year!
  16. How come we haven't seen Jeremy Jeffrees get a crack at it? We need another RHP and he seems to have figured it out at AAA. Nice job Kintzler!
  17. Not to be a downer but how great would this game feel had they of pulled out that game last night. Oh well, love that they smacked around Strasburg
  18. Give me a break. I'm sorry, but was that not accurate? When the Nats got a lead, Soriano was ready to go. K Rod, on the other hand, got used in the ninth inning. Do you think that Roenicke does a good job managing the bullpen? When you are at home, you do not save your closer for a lead because if you obtain a lead in the 9th inning and after you win the game instantly if you obtain the lead. This is why in a tied game, even down a run or two, that you see closers pitch the 9th at home. There's no possible "save" opportunity after that.
  19. Think the Brewers are already looking forward to the series vs. Colorado? Man the Nationals can pitch. Wouldn't want anything to do with them in a playoff series.
