Shoulda went with Kintzler to get the double play ball...

Some of you act like RR wouldn't want to send his starter back out there in a 2-0 game while he's only thrown 71 pitches through 6 in a 1 hitter. Things happen. He went with Duke who's been good this year. And made a quick change. Now we'll see if Jeffress can keep it up.

Today would be a very big win going forward. Win today, day off, and then enter a tough part of the schedule.

A lot is made of Reynolds because of his low AVG and high K rate but he has a higher OBP than Davis and has more home runs in 80 less AB ... And segura has a .267 OBP - which Reynolds is significantly better. So 1B while bad isn't the only problem. Well said. Kind've what I was trying to point out. You just did it better!

If that's the at bat Parra gives you I'll take it everytime. Nice AB!

As much as I wanted Morneau, I'm glad Doug didn't do something stupid and overpay. Luckily we've found offense at other positions to make up for lack of consistent offense at first. As I say that, let's not pretend like Reynolds and Overbay haven't exceeded what we though defensively there and they've also had some big hits for us this season. Not saying it can't be upgraded as Morneau would do that, but it isn't as bad as it seems.

Maybe we'll call up Schaffer. (Blue)

Davis is swinging the bat like he knows we just traded for a two-time reigning gold glove award winner that happens to play his position. Take a deep breath kid. Start using the whole field again.

Luecker Haha that's actually got a nice ring to it! Lol

Yes, yes, and more yes!!! Luuuuuuuuuuuuc! It was down to naming my dog Luc or Uecker(my wife is a nice lady) and I chose Uecker. Possibly regretting it with how much I love watching Lucroy play.

Why do I feel like we'll be seeing a lot of Parra against RHP? Davis is just too "green" of a hitter for some of these matchups.

Two shots to get Gomez home. Come one boys.

Feel like I can hear a pin drop right now. Don't give the fans anything to cheer about.

    Settle in Peralta... Settle in.
  15. pacopete4
    Herrera. My god.
  16. pacopete4
Peralta will plate a run. Book it!

If he hits ARam next at bat I hope Matheny wrecks his car on the way home from the game tonight. Guys hit homeruns. It's apart of the game. Deal with it.

Get hot Overbay. This is your last opportunity at a winner. Get hot!!!
  19. pacopete4
    BOOOOOOOOM!!!!

This one could turn ugly in a hurry.

    16-11

Well said. Well said... I'm still holding out hope of a waiver claim trade for Morneau. If that's even possible. It's possible if the Rockies put him on waivers and someone with a worse record then the Brewers doesn't claim him. Yeah, I get that but it doesn't seem likely as he is only being paid $1.5 million and we have one of the better records in the league. You'd think other teams would grab him, especially a team that is trying to catch us.

  24. pacopete4
Is it possible that we can still make a trade after putting in a waiver claim on Morneau if he is subject to it from the Rockies?
  25. pacopete4
Well hopefully someone beats the A's and Tigers because I would want nothing to do with those teams come October.
