  1. I can't imagine Shaw wants anything to do with the Brewers at this point.
  2. Wheelin’ Dealin’ Stearns does it again. Reminds me a lot of Sonny Weaver Jr.
  3. At the price, it made sense. They still can be traded which I am in the camp of trading Pina away and letting Nottingham take on that role.
  4. Numbers are inflated by hitting in the park that he does.
  5. Some clutch performances from the guy too in some of our biggest games.
  6. I hope ABCDEFG is the guy that will finally get this team to the finals.
  7. I wouldn't automatically assume the latter. He could be suffering from the 'brain fog' that many have mentioned a lingering effect that wouldn't make him a danger to others but would potentially limit his ability to be on the field. Or something like that... The fact that he hasn't been cleared for "regular football activities" tells me there are/were complications with his recovery. You can be non-contagious and still have lasting effects from Covid.
  8. I'll take a crack at Johan Camargo for the Brewers.
  9. I'd assume it is because it has hit him differently than the two you mentioned. This virus seems to attack people in many different ways and he's obviously not been able to shake it. Hopefully, he can make a recovery with it and get something out of this season.
  10. "Maybe if the #Packers had taken a receiver in round one they'd have scored 75 points against two top-4 defenses in back-to-back weeks instead of 72." - Credit: Ross Uglem for the perfect drive by
  11. Pettine is probably just saving his good defensive scheme until the Super Bowl so we should be fine there.
  12. Boy, it'd be disappointing to give up on Navarez after one weird season after posting back to back 119 OPS+ seasons as a catcher who didn't look as bad as advertised defensively. I like Pina as a clubhouse guy and defensive catcher but it probably is time for Nottingham to get an opportunity with this club.
  13. I will say that when the line does seem to have a leak or penalty, it feels like it is Turner more often than not. But yeah, he's been fine.
  14. I really enjoy all the things Lazard does for this offense. Fun guy to have.
  15. Rarely are their division game blowouts. Don’t turn the ball over and they should be fine.
  16. Your last line might be correct but your just flat out wrong with the numbers. It’d be $26 million over the next two seasons to Kiermaier and $12.5 million to Garcia next season when you factor in all buyouts. So right off the bat they’d be saving $13.5 million with that trade off on top of not paying Snell $49 million over the next 3-seasons. $52.5 million to a team like Tampa isn’t nothing. Like I said, other pieces would need to be include but it’s not something that couldn’t be done. Especially when considering Hiura or possibly Hader.
  17. Understand the dynamics of this. Kiermaier and Garcia have basically the same contract. Garcia may bring more offense but Kiermaier has more value defensively. So Hader-Snell swap is a poor trade valuing a RP and SP when cost to production can be met more easily by Snell than Hader. Brewers would have to part with Mitchell, a SP prospect and seeing how promising Hedbert Perez sounds him as well. Every weakness Milw had last season-Offense is worse and the minors are weakened to produce a needed bat. Add the strongest trade asset team has to get a bat is gone as well in this deal. Tampa won't do this without the highest regarded Milw prospects included.(and or 4-8mil) payroll for Garcia. Hard to understand the dynamics when you start off with an error in saying that Garcia and Kiermaier have the same contracts.
  18. This place is the best place to be for not only Brewers fans but Wisconsin sports teams in general. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
  19. Brewers Gets: Kiermaier ($24M over the next two seasons) and Snell Tampa Gets: Garcia ($11M in 2021), Hader, and a prospect or two.
  20. I think he'd be adequate enough to take him to play 1B. He improved there from 2019 to 2020 defensively. It's not exactly like the Brewers have guys waiting in the wings at that position and he's theoretically just entering his prime. If they keep Vogelbach and there's no DH, you just do a soft platoon and you can stick Nunez at 3B on the days Woodruff and Burnes are pitching since there's very little ground ball action to the left side on those days. I think your point is valid and it could be true that this guy could make it just fine as our daily first basemen, but it is still ridiculous to have it floating around out there that the NL "might" have a DH and that teams aren't able to plan accordingly for it. You might be much more willing to take on Nunez and a guy like Vogelbach if you know that you can slide one or both to a DH spot if they crash and burn playing defense.
  21. It’ll be a sad day when then Bucks can’t sign this guy and those front office bums that don’t know how to work in the NBA continue to keep their jobs.
  22. Pretty rotten for the MLB to not be clear on whether the DH is here to stay or not. Gives AL teams an advantage in these situations.
  23. I’m hoping that Gruber can somehow swing the next naming rights. Might finally help the poor guy get some business.
