  1. did Weeks really need to dive for that one? Darn it all.
  2. Cueto in the on-deck circle. doesn't mean anything of course.
  3. Gross got a good pitch to hit there and just got under it. Darn it. Braun, too. Way to be patient that inning. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/eyes.gif
  4. six moderately strong innings of shutout ball from Soup. Nice. Real Nice.
  5. well, Dunn should bunt for a hit, too, just to keep the ball away from Prince
  6. dang it, that stinks. You could see it coming from a mile away (well, if you can see that game on TV, that is)
  7. come on Rickie!!!! Oh, by the way, Kendell has been worth every penny thus far.
  8. for sold out games, couldn't the parking attendants check for tickets and send vehicles that are just for tailgating to a "special" blocked-off area of the parking lot? Personally, if I had a choice between watching the game and listening to the game, I'm watching it--especially, if I already spent money on tickets. Going to a game is like a major event in this household. We like to party, don't worry about that, but at the stadium we're going in to watch the game. Sure, spend some time in the lot prior but there's no way we're not going inside the park. somebody mentioned the "plan ahead" mantra and it is a good one. But sometimes, life gets in the way. Or some accident/road construction that is unavoidable along your 3-hour route. If you bought pre-parking passes, you should not be penalized for that. Thankfully, I've never been that late to a game that I had to worry about it, but I can imagine that it will happen someday.
  9. jeez, Corey, keep your foot in the box. Bailing out just a bit there
  10. man, this game is just flying. The Soup is on tonight.
  11. Yuku rules prohibiting posting more than one time per 60 seconds. Drives me nuts.
  12. well, one run is better than anybody else has done against Cueto thus far. I take that back. Chris Young homered against him.
  13. well, one run is better than anybody else has done against Cueto thus far.
  14. well, that was a nice 1-2-3 K-filled inning. Things can only get better, right?
  15. 3000th post everyone!!!!! As for the complaining about the broadcasts, the Reds broadcast this evening started off just as smoothly. The line drive foul off the bat of Weeks had horrible camera work and a bad switch by their director, too. I guess I can live with the poor directing since it's better than not seeing the game at all.
  16. no WMLW on a Directv alternate channel. BOOOOOOOO! At least, I've got the Reds broadcast on 632 and can sync up Jim and Bob.
  17. yep, pretty sure that one will be like Jordan and Keith Smart, among others, in the annals of all-time NCAA highlights in the championship. Quite a great game all right. Memphis kinda choked things away with a big lead late and not hitting their free-throws. Hooray! No more basketball on my television for six months!!!!
  18. 1. Baseball 2. Golf 3. Racquetball 4. Floor Hockey 5. Basketball 6. Other games I've invented over the years.
  19. still, this is the kind of start followed by a road trip to (I believe) Boston and Cleveland that could "bury" them for a while. If they came back home with only 1 win (or less) on the road trip, I'd be very surprised to see the hitting/pitching coach still with a job, just to "shake things up" a bit. I think Leyland would be safe, however.
  20. yes, I seem to remember hearing Mitch Riggan (I think that was his name) was leaving FSN-WI as director for some other job at the conclusion of the 2007 season. This would be my guess to the poor choices in the truck to switch to whatever camera shouldn't be switched to.
  21. I knew a William Nailor in college. Maybe it's an inside joke but we all thought it was great.
  22. just by your description, it sounds like a double to me. Unless it clanked off the glove of Lee, it's a 2-bagger and 2 RBI. It's pretty much the ol' "if you didn't touch it, it's not an error" ruling by the official scorer. Kind of a judgment call, but I guarantee that had it been ruled an error, that Fukudome would appeal to the official scorer to change it and it probably would have been changed. Hitters will protest hits and RBI taken away from them like this, since those hits and RBI could mean big bucks in arbitration/new contract talks.
