  1. robert, THANK YOU for that Buster Keaton link. I love those movies! Very underrated in my opinion and very funny.
  2. these look awesome. Now you get to wipe out my bank account when I have to order one of each (or more), including the sample size ones. Even though I don't have kids yet, those are too awesome not to have around when I DO have kids someday.
  3. I'd at least make the number "4" bigger to make it stand out more. Maybe make the "12" actually 3 times bigger on the shirt than the "4" but keep the other words a smaller font size. Otherwise, it's clever. I doubt I'd buy it as is, though.
  4. okay, somebody may be able to correct me if I'm wrong, but I can't seem to find it on the sportsboobler site. Isn't today's Talkin' Brewers episode on before the game this afternoon? I believe it is but I'm not sure.
  5. well, Grand Canyon is a good 3+ hour drive from Phoenix, depending on traffic. Sedona is good (2 hours) and Meteor Crater is kind of neat (2+ hours). Painted Desert and Petrified Forest National Park is okay, too (3+ hours). Tucson (about 2 hours) is nice. Good hiking. Sonora Desert Museum and Tucson Studios are pretty neat.
  6. if this were the Cubs, we'd know they were setting themselves up to fail.
  7. the thing about wing places that I want to know is where they get there wings from? When I try to make wings at home, they are never the same as BW3 or a bar. I always have to buy those frozen wings and drummettes in the ice glaze that end up looking huge, but when you cook them (grill, oven, whatever) they are just a little bit of meat with tons of fat and extra skin. At BW3 or a bar, you get nice smallish wings and drummettes with plenty of meat and hardly any fat and or extra skin. Add the sauce and they're great. Do it at home and they're a bunch of sauce and hardly any meat. Do you have to fry them in oil? Do they get special chicken wings/drummettes? Why can't I replicate it at home?
  8. I still have a small shoebox filled with old D&D stuff. some of the adventure modules are originals. Nice! I usually go thru that box once a year for some good memories and laughs. Too bad my paladin can't lay hands on him and resurrect him.
  9. invader, you made me laugh and cough bologna sandwich up my nose.
  10. I'm glad that I'm not an ignorant moron. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/tongue.gif
  11. somehow, I just knew that Hawing would pipe in with a comment about our "fraternity". Honest, I really did think of my wife, you, and the other ladies as our sorority sisters.

  15. I seem to like it. And have converted a handful of others, too. It's much better knowing that I can have an intelligent discussion with someone or a quality read without worrying about flame wars and that garbage. I love the no-cuss policy and the rules are fair and straight-forward. I will never EVER go to the MLB boards or, probably, any other. I get all my Brewer information (probably too much, not that I'm complaining) right here and all my news, too, for the most part. It's almost like being in a fraternity, if you will.

  19. He better do well. I turned down a trade in my Diamond Mind league tonight. Matt Kemp, Joe Saunders, Frank Francisco, $10 PITCH Bucks (our league currency), and a first round draft pick for Weeks. Am I dumb and just have Brewers blinders on, or what?
  20. every time I see a new post in this thread, I keep hoping that somebody found a link from Directv that proclaims FSN-WI is now on the Directv lineup full-time for everyone (not just in-staters), with their own channel that shows all programming, even late night poker. I can dream. it's only been over a year since the announcement of an FSN-WI different from FSN-North. Heck, New York has like 4 or 5 channels on the sports pack.
  21. you gave it only 2 games? maybe you gave up 45 runs in rookie because you weren't used to the controls or something? but unless you think it is a glitch, shouldn't you give it more of a chance than 2 games? Aren't there sliders on these games anymore to adjust stuff to your own liking?
  22. couldn't we all pitch in and write up a similar story about Chicago and Wrigley Field. "just the other day, I had to walk from the Sear's Tower to Wrigley because there were no buses going out that way."
  23. root beer schnapps.
  24. it looks like the husband of Frau Farbissina from the Austin Powers movies.
  25. okay, so it was during an "off-season" time for the spring training complex, where security wouldn't be as tight as normal. I get it now, but it's still very perplexing how he got into the clubhouse. Somebody asleep on the job or something . . .
