    I can't believe that I'm still watching this 7-2 debacle. Then my cousin calls and kicks me in the gut telling me that he and his family are moving out of AZ to Minnesota. (yay, Corey Hart. You now made it a save situation for the Rangers)

    I had 2 of these last night at a party. They were "decent" beers, very lime flavored and refreshingly different. But, still, I wouldn't want to drink a case of them. Somebody else stated that they like the taste of beer (barley, hops, etc.) and so do I, so this Miller Chill, while different is kinda girly. I'll probably buy a 6-pack and stick it in the fridge for Mexican Food Night or something. But otherwise, I'll pass. (I find it better than Corona, FWIW.

    anybody else have feelings that she's a living breathing CSI episode-to-be when her sister inevitably gets over jealous and does something about it? What's the deal with her sister anyways? Dhonks, I agree with your sentiments on makeup. My wife wears none. Absolutely zilch. Some other women look at her and wonder why not, but her facial skin is still as soft and smooth as it was as a baby (I'd reckon) and will likely still be that way when she's much older, unlike a lot of women who do use a lot of makeup.

    maybe I missed it, but was that an error on Braun? Uecker made it sound like it was an infield hit. 2-1 deficit is nothing in this ballpark (bites tongue knowing that the Brewers have the ability to shut down the offense)

    I'm behind real-time tonight with MLBAudio giving me Uecker and Powell at a 30 second (or more) delay, so no chat room for me tonight. On topic, that was a pretty poor inning in the top of the first. I hope our hitters aren't all jacked up like they were when they faced Kim last week and strongly disappointed. I know stats can get into players heads and mess with their swings and their focus. Hope things improve!

    that is pretty amazing stuff. hadn't seen anything like that before. Hope everything is alright with you folks up there. Maybe you're getting all this severe stuff out of the way before I get up there in a few weeks. That'd be nice.

    IBTL This is starting to sound like an argument that needs to be taken to the ezinboxes. We all have different opinions of what is "right" and "wrong" and "none of our business."

    of course, a player that takes off for Independent ball for a year runs the risk of injury without being paid the big bucks and could end up being never the same kind of player. I'm sure it's happened before and will happen again.

    nice find! Again, I didn't read anything or find anything on it. Must have been using the wrong search parameters or something. Anyway, I doubt the show lasts too long with Bob as the host. Doesn't matter who they'll get, but people will tune it out because it's not the same.

    does anybody else actually play other poker games with their buddies besides hold 'em? Like "good guys & bad guys", "Iron Cross", "Screw your neighbor", "3, 5, 7", and other poker games like that?

    question is, did CBS renew The Price is Right for another season with a new host? I haven't seen anything about that. Personally, I think they should just let the show die out. It will not and never will be the same with somebody else as the host (look at their "attempts" to make it an evening show from the past). It's Bob Barker baby, let it end that way.

    of course they'll fold. They make 10s of millions of dollars. What's a few grand for a buy-in to them? They're just there for publicity before they head to the strip clubs and such.

    the only thing about those videos are "why would you do that? besides showing off to a girl (who wouldn't be that impressed anyways) what reason do you have to do that? If you did that against a human opponent, you'd likely be done with that play with a couple of black eyes. Just get in the darn end zone.

    okay, Russ, so I looked it up. BA w/ RISP 2003: .244 2004: .221 (ugh!) 2005: .240 2006: .263 2007: .245 I'd say that except for the blip of 2006, retrosheet has pretty much backed up off-the-top-of-my-head guesstimation that it has been a trend since 2004 (actually longer). I'm not sure if you're beating down my assessment or just posting the stats to back up my statement. How do you know we "should" have about 7 more hits w/RISP?

    Bob Nelson of the Packers (nose tackle) had something like 140 sacks one season for me.

    Without looking at stats, I'll go out on a limb and say this has been a running theme since 2004 (if not earlier) for the Brewers.

    Unfortunately, this is likely because we've been trained for so long to think like this. Cubs fans think this way too, to the nth degree. Red Sox fans were given a reprieve of this in '04.

    Braun should have let the ball hit him. That way he's out, the ball is dead, and the run scores. Or would he have to go back to third? Either way, the game is tied or the bases are still loaded.

    Team Canada is right on. That is EXACTLY what I thought of when I saw that. Why would anybody buy something like that?
