  1. I will assume that the 2:30 pitching change rule is "waived" for injury replacements for the pitcher.
  2. It's been a real roller coaster of a game, that's for sure! Very entertaining!
  3. Boy, this thread sure isn't very optimistic! And it's only the second day of the off season! If this continues, this going to be a looooooooong winter!
  4. Instead of #1 being retired they should just put a big "BUD" (including the quotation marks) on one of those baseballs of retired numbers. You'd have to keep the quotation marks, though, to make sure it is disassociated from any Anheiser-Busch property. That would make the most sense to me. Retiring #1 is just an excuse to retire a number if you ask me.
  5. American League Royals beat A's for WC O's beat Tigers in LCS Angels beat Royals in LCS O's beat Angels for pennant (7 games) National League Pirates beat Giants for WC Dodgers beat Cards in LCS (sweep) Nats beat Giants in LCS Dodgers beat Nats for pennant. World Series: Dodgers beat Orioles in 6
  6. I didn't see it. Was it "grooved" pitch, like Wainright's in the All-Star game?
  7. Sorta a screw you ESPN post here. Has anyone else had problems in the last 24 hours logging in to your ESPN account? For a day it says that my account does not exist. Even fling the forgot username/password thing brings up a "does not exist" result. I can't change my fantasy team!!!
  8. NO HITTER!! NO HITTER!!! KYLE LOHSE NO HiTTER!!!! (Unless, of course, you count 2 hits by Jack Hanahan. Which I don't. Because he's Jack Hannahan.)
  9. I was just about to post the exact same thing. I haven't heard a peep from Attanasio since before the losing streak began at the end of August. Not one word. He used to be a regular in the TV booth (well, maybe once every 2 weeks or so) but he has been a complete no-show for going on 4 weeks now. I wonder how ticked off he is.
  10. From MLB Trade Rumors today . . . . "Steve Adams profiled Josh Harrison as a possible extension candidate and sees three years and $15-16MM as the parameters for a deal between the Pirates and the 27-year-old utilityman." Please tell me that somebody else in BF.net-Land is smelling the same thing they smelled when Bill Hall got a nice juicy extension? The Pirates should stay far away in my opinion.
  11. This is starting to border on "thread lock" phase. Turn off the political-ness or the thread goes "buh-bye." Thank you. The Management
  12. There is a part of me that hope the Reds are saying to the Brewers right now, "Okay, we beat the Cardinals in three straight. Now we will lie down for you and you guys can go get them next week."
  13. Did anybody see the 20th anniversary video for Rock during the pregame. It was pretty cheesy but well done. But the best part was how happy Rock was during the whole video until Daron Sutton came on. Suddenly, Rock got all tense, the smile went away, and he looked toward someone off screen two or three times to tell them to take him off the picture-in-picture. It was really awkward and telling that he and Daron must have had a falling out. The Matty V. Part was pretty funny, too!
  14. My wife gave even odds once we had bases-loaded and nobody out that we would not score this inning. Unfortunately she's probably right
  15. I'm actually surprised that nobody has made a Youtube video of Brewer highlights from the last 2 weeks with re-worked lyrics to form "Crappy."
  16. I'd put Caldwell into the 2nd tier, but that's just me.
  17. I would certainly hope that the Brewers are planning on only retiring numbers of players that reach the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown (or come darn close to it.) Gallardo for the Walk of Fame? Yes. How about the new Hall of Whatever It's Called at Miller Park? Absolutely. Number retired? Absolutely zero chance. (okay . . . 0.1% chance since NOTHING is impossible.)
  18. At this point, he's going to be lucky even getting into a game with the Brewers (in a setup role, I mean.)
