  1. Brewers would take that in a heartbeat. I think the Brewers would get a few more lottery ticket type players though. No. You would take that trade in a heartbeat because you think Moncada is best prospect in the game. I'm not buying it.
  2. More like a month and a half, a full year is 172 days but the season has more than that many days, more like 182. 183 days this year. If Peralta had 33days then yes you would say 34days but then add 12more for the 183 account. So would gain the year service time at 46days then. He'd then start next season at 3.171 He would become a Super 2 then with Arbitration I just don't know when they stop his clock. How does that work? Are the 20 days he's down counting against his service clock? Then Stops after that 20days beginning his reduction on service time? Or do they backtrack to include the 20days after he's reached it? Essentially, is it 46days or 66days to gain that year?
  3. I'd be disappointed with the Sox offer. Essentially heads up Lucroy:Moncada and Smith:Espinoza I haven't a clue on Ockimey. Massive upgrades for Boston in Catcher and LH RP shouldn't come lightly. There's team control with both and of course the QO Boston will give Lucroy regardless what he does. That's a 1st rd talent. Or of course Boston could just extend Lucroy 4 years immediately without a blink on 4/72mil.
  4. For those who are in denial of the talents...One Monte Harrison Just 5HRs in 6games this past week. BA had a prospect hot sheet mentioning him after his 2nd 2HR game in 5games(which he followed with the 5th HR next game) And in it, it had some quote of Harrison who said he's changed his 2strike approach to foul off pitches until he gets one he likes and that has raised his avg up now to .211/.274/353 from game 31: .154/.235/.202 to game 54. 23games. Trent Clark while batting .219 has a .383OB. It's after just 18games his first at the A level. So, if he hit a stride like Harrison's in next 5 games his stats would likely be .270/.415. So Yes, I think the Brewers have a lot of upcoming OFs. Harrison is still 1 year younger than Ray, Clark is 2years younger. Doesn't even include Demi O who Raked last year. These guys are developing are we about to have a Clark/Harrison/Ray OF in WI?
  5. I think he has to be down 3 weeks minimum before his service time is paused. Or 3weeks minimum in order to count his days down against his service time. Lemme google search.... Well guess I'll do that another year as my computer froze both times.
  6. I'd doubt he'd be traded by then, but there is always the trade through waivers with a few extra starts that one could envision. Garza most likely needs to finish the season with Milwaukee and build trade value for this offseason. I think even lights out Garza(the 2+ERA type) wouldn't net Milwaukee as high a return as this offseason and Garza had under a 3.6 ERA finishing this season. Wily's demotion was well earned with being a bottom 5 SP in all of baseball in many categories. Garza deserves another turn in the rotation, I'd imagine if he goes 5-6 starts of 6ERA performance, he gets shuffled to the Bullpen. Oh, what fun it will be to see Hader who was advanced to AAA and Peralta demoted to AAA how their stats stack up vs. 1 another. Just to see how excited one can get on Hader should he really outperform Peralta.
  7. I'd expect a team that needs a LH 2b bat would consider Gennett but only maybe for a deal like what Milwaukee gave up for Parra. Haniger+Banda. Villar to me is Milw's 2b after this season with Arcia at SS. Ramirez/Perez either of the two are your utility should an injury occur....And by that I would intend both back up Villar at 2b. Villar backs up Arcia at SS.
  8. If negotiations break down with any of the first 10 round selections, the team also loses the draft pool allotted to that pick. So say 1.7mil on Erceg who doesn't sign is lost. But the pick is comped for next years draft. Why select him? How many players do the Brewers need to fill their minors? Keep in mind they are likely adding at least 5 or more come trade deadline. By drafting Horn though, like Everett last year, you can likely sit down and discuss for awhile and get in some good graces if you happen to want to redraft him 2-4years from now. Edit add: oh also with the draft experience and selection, I'd assume Horn can share to his Cal teammates how great it was to get selected by Milw, pay a visit all that good treatment. Next Year, a senior or Junior from Cal is up for draft and Milwaukee selects him....There's some good faith in the lead up.
  9. That to me is about appropiate. Amazes me he included Lucroy and Carter.
  10. With the last two picks you would think both below draft slot. Saving for 4th or 5th selection? Just for who? Last year I was at least happy with Kirby and Ponce and Demi O especially. These last two selections after the disappointment of 1st, have me down on this draft big time. Still no pitcher.
  11. Oh Nick Lodolo was a very nice looking pick gone to Pittsburgh. Ryan Boldt I remember having some helium here for a draft choice. He fell quite a bit and I just don't get why most 18year olds pass on 1mil bonuses.
  12. Well, Corey Ray makes all acquisitions of an OF trade mute to me. Pass.
  13. How long is this break between picks? Yeesh
  14. As Stl took Hudson, here goes Sheffield. Three Pick teams getting 12-20 ranked players.
  15. Well I put him in my hopefuls. But reads he may price himself beyond what Milwaukee can do.
  16. so that pick tells me the Cardinals are saving mone....oop There's Hudson. Yeah Money for him and wouldn't be surprised on Perez.
  17. HS pick would be Drew Mendoza 3b, Kevin GowdySP, Cole RagansSP, and Alex SpeasSP Ragans just selected So there's the end trade: Gallardo/Ragans for Diplan, Kneble, and Sardinas.
  18. Dakota Hudson, Joey Wentz, Jordan Sheffield. Dropping but all guys would expect sign overslot here when Atlanta selects one of them and Philly selects the other
  19. So Far 6 of 15 picks College selections. I mean this sickens me. You didn't hear about upside for Ray. Now #14 is Most Athletic #15 super excited to see him grow. Yeah power/sweet swing. Jeesh
  20. And these guys are Gushing over his Height and athleticism. Not heard on Ray.
  21. Then what's the point? Underdraft early to save on bonus pool money, so that you can give it back to the same guys later who should have been drafted earlier? Is this a sign that the draft needs to be revised again? Jason Groome for example rumored to command 4mil to more. You miss on signing him at #5 it's 4.3mil gone. #4 it's 5.25mil gone. 6.5mil #3 7.76mil #2 and 9.01mil #1. You fail to sign, you not only lose all that draft allotted money, But the Comp for next draft. #1 to #2 is 1.25million, 2-3 1.25mil, 3-4 1.25mil then 1.05mil 4-5. #34 has 1.878Mil #35 1.837mil or only 41k less. 1.25million is the equivalent of #50 in draft slot value.
  22. No chance. These guys are going to get gobbled up somewhere between pick 20 and pick 44. When teams who have 3 picks before Milwaukee's #45 take them. Philly will probably have 5.5million when they start the 2nd round. Atlanta too has so much cash. San Diego or LA Dodgers.
  23. I just hate the fact we drafted 5'11" College OF. The size and age, leaves about nothing to project beyond what there is today. Nothing. He won't go 15HRs to 25-30. Speed if that's your calling, doesn't last. So he gets to Milwaukee at 25? How fast will he be age 30? You'd think of him being a 24 rookie, 36 2nd year, 33, 3rd year, 26 4th year, 19 5th year, and 17 final year. That's Healthy. It's terrible if that is the best he brings. 5'11" over Kyle Lewis 6'4" almost a year younger with Power? Jeesh! 5" difference in height out roaming the OF. I'd add 45feet to Avg Fly Ball lengths if not 60' that 5" gives.
  24. You know how this will go. Jason Groome and AJ Puk will get to greet Corey Ray in 2019 with Golden Sombreros as the ultimate What were they thinking????????????????????????????????????
