If/when he goes in the IL, they can't. Yea I guess they can put him on 60 day IL now to make room for Boxberger.

But Hiura hit in the 2-hole the last time Yelich was in the 3-hole so that doesn't really bold well for your theory on lineup construction. Counsell is overthinking it if he doesn't bat Yelich 2 against righties and 3 or 4 against lefties. Still a righty in the 2 hole... That's my point... Yelich is gonna hit 3rd this year.

Another lineup with Wong and Yelich... Wong leading off, Yelich in 3 hole. Yep, I stand by what I said... Top of our lineup is gonna be Wong, Cain, Yelich, Hiura.

Haha! But like you guys said, I doubt Arcia is just released... Besides the D, I dont get what they see in him... Pablo Reyes offer much more, plays EVERYWHERE.

Agreed, I dont understand all the Cain bashing... Dude is still a good ball player... We need him roaming center while JBJ roams right.

Rays arent stupid, they arent trading Brosseau... He will be one of their core guys until he gets expensive. From what I read (not a great deal) from the Rays' sites, Brosseau is going to be kind of a utility guy. They have Diaz at 3rd with Choi at 1B and they also went and got Tsutsugo from Japan. Plus they still have Wendle (a guy I forgot about, but would be worth trading for. Career .277/.332/.734 - doesn't strikeout much - LH bat - good glove at 3B and can play 2B or SS. Not a lot of power 15-20 bomb). He could be had fairly cheaply too. Interesting, thanks for the update. I would love to acquire Brosseau to be our everyday 3B! Just dont see it happening.

Your both probably right... Then Reyes makes the team over Robertson? But idk Reyes isnt on the 40 man but then Robertson's contract isnt guaranteed I believe, guess Robertson could be DFAd for Reyes... Guess we'll see come 4/1.

Yep good point... Lineup could be perfectly balanced until Bradley addition... Which I love BTW! Bradley/Garcia platoon will be very productive. Wong Yelich Hiura Shaw Cain Bradley Jr Narvaez Urias I really like that!

Then who leads off? IMO Wong is our lead-off... I dont see Counsell going Wong, Yelich 1-2... So far in ST when Wong and Yelich have been in the lineup, Wong is in leadoff spot and Yelich in 3 hole. Wong against RHP and Cain against LHP I dont see Wong, Yelich being 1-2... Guess we'll see.

I would much rather have Reyes vs Arcia on the bench. My bench would be: Pina or Nottingham Vogelbach Reyes Robertson If we go with 13 pitchers than Fisher gets last bench spot.

Just remember Braun was around to bat 3rd and Cain leadoff. R-L-R. Pretty obvious Wong-L will be leading off so Yelich will take over #3. Agreed... I see it as Wong-Cain-Yelich-Hiura.

Mitchell has been super impressive so far, that exit velo... OMG. Calling it now, Mitchell is our starting CF 2022 OD... We move on from Cain.

I guess Black’s velo went from 98 to the first guy he faced to 90-92 fourth guy he faced. Just DFA him already... Give Boxberger his spot.

Nice!! Honestly I'm pulling for this kid! If Shaw doesnt win the job, I want Green as our everyday 3B... He's had really nice AAA numbers. -
Agreed, I would love to sign Shane Greene... Really solid reliever, Greene-Williams-Hader would be nice!
