  1. Well that was short lived... Damnit!
  2. Hate to say it, could this mean Hader is gone?? I would hate if we traded Hader.
  3. OMG!!!!!!!!!!!! I would love that!!!
  4. Not that I'm aware of.... I'm just going off the fact that he's only started 9 games the last 2 years combined and he's pitched much better out of the pen... Guess you would swap Peralta and Houser.
  5. Figured we should have one of these as well for bullpen talk. Gonna be fun to watch the bullpen battles this ST. My prediction for 21 OD bullpen Hader Williams Peralta Topa Boxberger Hardy Yardley Suter Rasmussen (If we go with 9 man pen) I see Black DFAd and Zimmermann released.
  6. I honestly wouldnt mind another bullpen arm... Guys like Shane Greene, Tyler Clippard, Roberto Osuna, JJ, Chaz Roe, etc are still sitting out there.
  7. Lauer I can see being optioned but for me not a chance on Urias.... We gave up valuable pieces for Urias as the headliner.
  8. as mentioned in the initial post of this thread, there will be no limit to the number of pitchers that a club can carry on its 2021 roster. Shoot sorry, I see that now.
  9. with a collective bargaining agreement set to expire after this year, anything is possible. and as we saw last year, it was negotiated to start with a 30-man, then a 28-man, and then whittle down to a 26-man. mlb and the players union renegotiated in-season to stick with 28 players, including the postseason, and increased the taxi squad limit from three to five. it's a pandemic. nothing can be permanent. The 26 player roster with limit of 13 pitchers was agreed to before the start of spring training 2020. Those were not pandemic related changes. I dont think this is the case for 2021 tho, I saw that teams can carry 14 pitchers if they want.
  10. That's a bit extreme... Dude is a career .746 OPS, 103 OPS+ hitter so far.
  11. I firmly believe we'll have a very good offense in 2021. https://www.brewcrewball.com/2020/12/15/22176969/could-the-brewers-have-the-best-offense-in-baseball Yelich, Hiura, Garcia, Narvaez are not the hitters we saw in 2020.
  12. Thank you! So I stand by my lineup prediction because it balances out the lineup perfectly with alternating L-R... And puts two good on base guys in front of Yelich and Hiura.
  13. It's baseball. Your best hitter is in the 2-hole. That's pretty much the way every team does it. I'm sure there is some science and reasoning behind it. https://www.sportsbettingdime.com/guides/strategy/batting-order-sabermetrics/ 3 hole is the 4th best hitter in the lineup. That is the dumbest thing I have ever read....... So all the teams around the league that have star hitters in the 3 hole, are doing it wrong I guess. Hmmm ok then.
  14. Don't know about that, why wouldnt you put Yelich in the 3 hole so he can make it 3-0 with a HR or 2-0 with a base hit? You put two good on base guys in front of him so he can drive them in.
  15. He absolutely can... Better spring, he's the starter.
  16. I must say with the addition of Shaw, I really like our lineup heading into 2021. This is how I see our 2021 OD lineup. Vs RHP Wong Cain Yelich Hiura Shaw Garcia Narvaez Urias Vs LHP Wong Cain Yelich Hiura Garcia Urias Pina Arcia or Robertson Really, really like that balanced lineup vs RHP and a lot of power 3-7!
  17. Houser isn't the pitcher he was in 2020... With the improved defense he'll be much better and very close to the pitcher he has in 2019... He'll be a very good #3. Woodruff Burnes Houser Anderson Lindblom That rotation can pitch!
  18. Just my opinion but I think Lindblom is a lock to be in the rotation unless he is absolutely abysmal in spring training. Yep I agree. Lauer seems to be headed for Nashville then, I dont see room for him in the bullpen... And would be a waste putting him in there.
  19. Always liked Shaw, really like this move... He shouldnt have a hard time making the team. Wong Cain Yelich Hiura Shaw Garcia Narvaez Urias/Arcia Look at that power 3-7 and the awesome L-R balance. Shaw/Robertson or Urias will be a nice productive platoon... I would rather go Shaw/Robertson... Its Urias’ time to show us what he’s got at SS.
  20. Guess this means either Lindblom or Lauer to bullpen then.
  21. Better hope Houser returns to form and becomes our #3... Otherwise I do not like this move... Woodruff Burnes Houser Anderson Lindblom I would have felt much better with Odorizzi or Walker as our #3... But maybe Houser rebounds in a big way with the improved defense.
  22. Wow Tom, tell us something we didnt already know.
  23. Another starter gone, Tyler Anderson to Pirates.
  24. Only way I'm content with Urias is if he becomes .330 AVG/.400 OBP with elite defense guy. Can't wait to be last in the majors in HRs... Only power sources are Yelich, Hiura, Narvaez and Garcia
