  1. Does this help you feel better about Miller? 2018-20 vs RHP AVG/OBP/SLG/OPS Brad Miller .253/.339/.487/.825 2018-20 vs LHP AVG/OBP/SLG/OPS Luis Urias .337/.373/.500/.873 Daniel Robertson .260/.368/.382/.749
  2. Fine, I'll take Jake Lamb as well. Lamb and Robertson would still be a good platoon.
  3. I could also see Marwin Gonzalez, Stearns knows him well... I'm definitely on board with adding Gonzalez or Cabrera on a 1 yr deal.
  4. OMG what? We have a nice 1-2, and nothing but question marks after. OMG, that rotation sucks! Like I said above........... Hill has been very good throughout his career... We would be a great #3. Houser is not the bad pitcher we saw in 2020, he's very much the pitcher we saw in 2019... Would be one of the best #4s. Totally fine with Lindblom at our #5... If he sucks, move him to bullpen and Lauer is our #5. With all that said, doesnt sound like Hill is gonna sign with us... Hope I'm very wrong tho!
  5. All this nonsense on moving Wong, a back to back gold glover to 3B... Come on guys... I'm guessing Wong wouldn't have signed with us if we were moving him to 3B. Wong at 2B Hiura at 1B Urias and Arcia battle it out for SS in ST Sign Brad Miller and he platoons with Robertson at 3B Or Just sign Asdrubal Cabrera or Marwin Gonzalez to play 3B everyday since both are switch hitters.
  6. I would love to see Brad Miller added to platoon with Robertson, could be very productive.
  7. Wow, didnt except to see Brad Miller as #3 in the offense numbers... I will gladly take either him or Asdrubal to platoon with Robertson at 3B. Miller/Robertson or Cabrera/Robertson Could be nice production, although Cabrera is a switch hitter so wouldnt it just make sense to have him at 3B everyday? But then Robertson and Urias would both become utility guys, we don't need two of them on the bench. Just make Urias the everyday SS and trade Arcia for whatever you can get... Or keep Arcia and bring in Miller, I'm fine with either.
  8. Correct, Colome signed with the Twins.
  9. Didnt realize Miller was a FA, I guess I could get behind a Miller/Robertson platoon at 3B. For some reason, I just think Stearns signed Robertson to be our everyday 3B... Otherwise I think we would have added someone other than him... He must believe in what Robertson can be.
  10. No offense, but I'm not sure if that rotation is worthy of an "OMG?" Yes, Woody and Burnes are a phenomenal top 2, and I would be completely on board with a Rich Hill signing (assuming he could stay healthy). Houser though needs to figure out how to get LHH out, as he got absolutely destroyed this past year against them. And, while I know it was a small sample size in a crazy year - I was not at all impressed by Lindblom. Yes, there would be a lot of nice potential in that rotation, but I also feel like 3/5 of that rotation brings A LOT of question marks with it as well. Disagree, Hill has been very good throughout his career...
  11. I really want Hill but from reading his comments on the interest, sounds like Brewers are 3rd of where he would choose to play. Disappointed by that, he would be a fantastic fit in our rotation. Woodruff Burnes Hill Houser Lindblom OMG!
  12. I think so. Wong Cain Yelich Hiura I definitely like that top 4 in the lineup!
  13. Keston is 6 foot... Most 1B are like 6'1 to 6'3... Is a couple inches that big of a deal?
  14. If we trade Hiura, then we're back to needing a 1B.
  15. Cain's signing 3 years ago was coupled with a second rather large transaction as well. Could history repeat itself? Hmmmm ... My god, don't even toy with us like that....... We need Jose Ramirez!!!! I can't think of another 3B that could be had in a trade, there's at least rumors that Jose is available... But if the Wong signing proved anything, who the hell knows who DS would acquire.
  16. Hiura would have to be Braun-at-3B-level bad at 1B for this to not be a huge overall upgrade on defense. (If he even plays there at all, I suspect Stearns is confident there will be a DH in 2021.) If there is a DH in 2021, then we still need a 1B now.
  17. I would go: Wong Cain Yelich Get the two table setters on base before Yelich steps to the plate.
  18. I hope to god that Robertson turns into the player Justin Turner is because sounds like either him or Urias will be our everyday 3B in 2021.
  19. Definitely didnt see Keston as our 2021 1B but with Wong in the fold now... I would love to see us add Gyorko and Rich Hill yet. Hill could be exactly what our rotation needs.
  20. Idk, I like Robertson, just don't think he's the right answer as our everyday 3B. It's certainly a risk, but I don't think anyone should be surprised that, given the financial state of the team and the odd situation they are in coming off a year of pretty large financial losses, they are likely going to have to take some cost-cutting risks. Right, but there's definitely 3B out there who could be had on the cheap... Give me anyone of Gyorko, Asdrubal Cabrera, etc. I for one definitely did not see Keston as our 2021 1B... I sure hope he hits like a 1B.
  21. I guess we're gonna see if Robertson is the real deal at 3B... Idk, I like Robertson, just don't think he's the right answer as our everyday 3B.
  22. Even then, wouldn't you have to be really certain that the Coors issues aren't legit? I guess it all comes down to what kind of contract he is looking for. If he wants to get paid for his Coors' numbers, then he isn't even worth Hiura. Right, we can't afford two huge contracts in Yelich and Story. I would rather go after Jose Ramirez, much more reasonable contract but yes will cost more.
  23. Hiura, Mitchell, and Ashby or Small is probably more realistic to me as well. Damn would hurt to lose Mitchell tho... Hedbert is nowhere close as Mitchell is.
  24. My god, if we can acquire Ramirez for Hiura+, I will gladly shut up about Vogelbach being our 1B. Wong Cain Yelich Ramirez Garcia Vogelbach Narvaez Urias What a huge improvement over last year!
  25. Holy jesus, we did something!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love the move of Wong... Too bad Hiura can't play 3B... Would have solved all of our problems. I love Hiura but if he's moved to acquire Jose Ramirez, ummmmmmmm oh hell yes.
