  1. I think Parra lives to see another day. It is kind of sad that this was a "good" start for him, but he was not down right terrible. So he should get another shot.
  2. Oh man Peavey, I did not even think of that. And people thought Josh Hamilton put on a show last year, just think what Branyan could do. I have goosebumps thinking about it.
  3. Should have one this one, just slipped away. Villa has been fantastic, just hung some pitches today. It happens from time to time. Lets get ready for what should be a good homestand. It was nice to see Braun go deep twice, hopefully that will get him going.
  4. Seeing Russell in the All-Star game would be quite sweet. He has a shot, but like someone else said a lot of good 1B in the AL just as there is in the NL. I will always remember when I got to meet "The Muscle" at Jeff's Sports last summer. A signed baseball by him to many not worth much, but to me it is one of my favorite autograph's and I would never trade or sell it.
  5. Yeah Kapler was a nice bat off the bench. I miss him and Branyan even more so.
  6. Me to, I'm really pulling for Rogers. Had such high expectations when we drafted him. Those injuries really sucked, he could be up right now with Yo making a heck of a 1-2 punch. Hopefully they up that count and he can get deeper into games. Would be nice to see him continue to come along and maybe get to Huntsville by season end. I know McCalvy or Haudricourt reported he can still throw his fastball mid to high 90's. That is a very good thing.
  7. He seemed to do well for the Brewers when he would start, but was awful as a pinch hitter. I like McGehee much more on our bench then Joe. More potential at least.
  8. Vazquez is tough, hopefully Suppan is on his game and we get some runs early.
  9. They must have called up Sandoval earlier then I thought last season. I couldn't remember. But year like fondybrewfan said it is a crappy rookie class. Gamel does a have a shot.
  10. That kind of stuff drives me nuts. I'm 26 years old and I would never pull something like that. I think if people were fair, autographs would be even more enjoyable to obtain. But too many people just don't give a crap and they cheat while good people take the time to get their early and wait in line.
  11. How soon before they let Rogers pitch 4 or 5 innings? I seen his longest start of the season was 3 innings on 4/10. What kind of pitch count is he on?
  12. Well we all know once Manny is back he is gonna be on the bench. Does this make his trade value higher for the Dodgers when Manny comes back? I mean they can't start Pierre over Ramirez, Kemp or Eithier.
  13. As a fellow Rome fan I agree. He himself says most people don't like it the first few times they listen. He says give it two weeks, if you still don't like it then fine. But if you don't give it that long you can't really see what it is all about.
  14. My preseason prediction was Cameron Maybin. That is not looking good right now. Sandoval has looked the best, Gamel has a chance if he becomes the primary 3B for us and hits like we know he can.
  15. Yeah I actually thought his 2005 season might have been more impressive then his 2006 season. And all be it little, Hall had improved every season since getting called up in 2002.
  16. Speaking of the Brewers vs Cardinals rivalry. On FS Wisconsin right now they are replaying the "Memorial Day Duel" between the two clubs. I was at Miller Park for that game and I have to say it was maybe the best or for sure one of the best and most memorable games I have seen in person. Gallardo and Carpenter were both incredible that day.
  17. I was looking back at my leagues draft and I think I for sure got two steals in our draft. Gallardo in the 9th round and Heath Bell in the 17th. My top 2 picks have been gret Teixiera and Longoria. Of my 21 picks I have dumped 7 since the season started (Adiran Beltre, Jose Lopez, Chris Young, Cristian Guzman, James Loney and Delmon Young).
  18. If Gallardo and Hoffman both don't make the NL pitching staff it would be a crime. Prince and Cameron do have shots at being reserves and of course Braun will be voted in as a starter.
  19. Hopefully Gamel can string a few more games like this together so we can see much more of him in the starting lineup. Gallardo continues to do what we all knew he could do, be an ace. He has some very impressive numbers this season up there with any other pitcher in the game.
  20. And I'm sure Dale Sveum has tried to work with Bill on this and tell him so. But it seems as though Billy may be to stubborn to change his ways and do what HAS worked for him in 2005 and 2006. It's a shame, it seemed Billy could be a very good player at one time. Now he is nothing more then a platoon player at best. The era of Gamel is upon us. Lets just enjoy it.
  21. Whatever Big Z, like someone else said by that time he will probably not be very good anymore anyway. And if he is and someone offers a big deal, I doubt he actually turns it down.
  22. Did that really happen? Haha. I dunno, I could care less we got rid of Gwynn. But Gerut so far has not been any better then him. I think I would have hit Catalanotto there instead. And I would have started Gamel over Hall. Of course.
  23. Very impressive. Thanks for sharing. Love the Yount, Molitor, Gantner "trio" painting.
  24. I agree Dan Patrick is the biggest kiss butt in the radio business. Can't stand listening to him. Always been a big fan of Rome though, my favorite national show by far. Favorite local show would be a close between Homer and the D-List.
