  1. We should put Segura at first or package Weeks and Francisco to get Votto. If the Reds need more we can throw in that new Pope
  2. Many ped users passed many tests. They were suspended because their names were on a list. Passing tests was (is) not a problem Hence the only outcome from this is : keep your name off of lists. This outcome does nothing to stop a guy taking ped's if he can make 10 or 50 or 120 or 250 million by doing it Straight question: if you can take ped's for 2 years and make 20 million, do you do it?
  3. I agree with the line of thinking: since many (now known) users were tested 100s of times and passed, it means many many many more players are indeed using. As was said: testing caught almost nobody. A journal of the dealer caught them How does MLB answer that? All they have proven is their testing does not work. And likely dozens and dozens of non-caught players are still using and continue to use and will continue What a great advantage knowing you will not be caught as long as your supplier channel remains secret What a mess
  4. What I do not like is a non PED Braun is likely a .300 .500 .800 guy. So the Crew has been screwed by a liar to the tune of $120 mill. That is not good. Honestly, I would think the contract could be null and voided in any court of law.
  5. Doug is all in for 2014. Recent comments from explain how our pitching is currently better than St Louis and Washington 2014 will likely have nearly to the man the same 25
  6. I will guess Hart comes back on a 3 mill base contract with 3 mill of incentives. Then a team option for 2015 for 6 mill with a 1 mill buyout. Just a guess. But I would love to see the Morris/Gamel/Halton shootout. But, but... with no trades at the death, it does seem Doug and Mark are going for it in 2014. So, a Hart/Gamel first base solution will work for that. And Morris and Halton can be forced to prove to be .300 hitters in AAA in in 2014
  7. Francisco cannot be faulted. Even RR said playing first is not his position. And now that he is playing first he cannot play third anymore. He is too much thinking about his errors at first so he now makes errors at third. This is all according to RR Clever managing, hey!
  8. I think we have up to 31 Aug to trade Aram. His back loaded contract means if he has a hot Aug he is a viable piece for a playoff team. I mean he will clear waivers easy. No one is picking up his big contract for 2014 unless they need him in 2013 Sep-Oct Then I can see Juan as our third baseman for a couple of years I have fear Doug is going to consider Juan a 1st baseman. So in 2014 we will have 5 1st baseman. I assume a one yr plus team option will be given to hart. Even hart said he will take a low base incentive contract to stay with the brewers
  9. I need to withdraw my criticism. RR is obviously shopping guys from the pen here in the nineth. So it becomes apparant YB was being showcased for some scout in attendance. Sorry to question you Ron
  10. RR is inept. Why bat Yuni when you have Y O U N G guys you can give experience to It is sad to watch screw up after screw up with no thought of the future. Little things (which define a good manager) are lost on RR
  11. Lohse actually was the missing piece. But in a puzzle of about 20 pieces only about three or four of them actually showed up. Don't blame the pieces that showed up. Blame the dozen+ that went missing.
  12. This could work out good for the Crew. When Braun is banned for life, it will free up salary for future players. The only downside is future players will not be any good.
  13. We have crappy management. We have crappy owners. We have crappy players. We have crappy minor leaguers. We have crappy drafters. We have crappy evaluators. We have crappy coaches. We have a crappy manager. I wonder what the end result will be?
  14. Goodness me. Leave all the same and we suddenly go from a zillion games unde .500 to a PLAYOFF team! Hooray! Doug and Mark have some season tickets for you to buy. I thought this year we were a good team. The 'team' has proven to be not so good. I assume the same 'not so good team of 2013' will morph into a 'not so good team of 2014'. That is... the YEAR may change, but crappy player X in 2013, will be crappy player Y in 2014. Me and Albert Einstein agree.
  15. It is really important that our silly management do not think we are one tweak away from contending in 2014. The rest of this year and 2014 are the minimum rebuild time table. So any player not in control in 2015+ has absolutely NIL value to the team right now or in 2014. Now I say 'silly' re our management, because they really don't seem to get it. If you cannot contend with your team in 2013, then the SAME team in 2014 will not compete. Doug should do all he can to build a team that in 2015, with luck, can contend. But a 2015 team that will improve into 2016.
  16. It appears we will draft in the top three. The best thing RR and DM can do is trade the few decent guys we have that are only here this year and next. Then we will really guarantee a rebuild. The best thing Mark A can do is fire RR and DM. We need a broom to get rid of our stupid management.
  17. We battled hard tonight. The ball just did not fall for us. There is nothing we can do about that. It will all even out. Weeksie could have just as well hit that 3-0 count out of here Of course I left Axey in even though after 8 pitches he throwied 1 strike. The ball was just not going over the plate. Nothing you can do about that. You throw the ball to the plate, if the ballie decides not to go over the platie, you just gotta battle through that. Arizonie is a good teamie. There is a reasonie they are higher up the laddery then us. But I am seeing some real positivies out of this teamy. No one is giving uppy. I can tell they are not giving uppy. They showy up every nighty. And every monthie they collect their money-ie.
  18. I guess a 2 run lead is plenty for RR to hurry up the inning. 2 run lead. Batter in slump. 2 ks today. 3-0 count. Two men on. Yes, give the 'ground into double play' signal. Well done RR. Well done. I am sure Weeks really appreciates you making him look stupid.
  19. The NSA must know the facts. Can someone please call them to get this straightened out
  20. Do you think if you added the IQs of all the MLB administration you would equal that of a rock or a snail or a flea. I have never, never seen a group of grown men so stupid. Ryan, do not say a thing. It is not even worth your breath to speak to sub-humans who have no comprehsion of anything.
  21. Sorry to take this way off the current theme, but re RR and Weeks. RR says that Weeks played a whole lot better when Scooter was up - not because of the 'heat', but because Weeks needs some time off - more than the average bear. So, what do we now have. We have Weeks playing day in and day out - and playing like rubbish. RR says he will play great with a bit of platooning. But does RR platoon him. No! Question: why would a manager say how great a player is with some time off... then not give him time off. Answer: because our management are a change up short of the full quid.
  22. So now our third baseman Juan makes more than an error a game costing us losses because ( according to RR) he is not used to playing third anymore. He has been playing out of position at first so much. So I assume now he has no position. Now THAT is great organizational asset management.
  23. And there were no more first basemen left in baseball and/or the Brewers system? OK, I understand. I wonder how Doug-friendly you will be when we see Lalli called up to the rotation next time we have a rotation injury. That is the same logic: it does not matter what role you play in baseball - according to Doug and RR they are interchangeable. Actually, as I check the Brewers 40 man to get Blake's name spellt right, I think I change my mind. Gindl is the better choice so we get a lefty in the rotation.
  24. "I can't wait for one team to have 10players suspended 100games...( I hope not the Brewers)" Can I PLEASE nominate 10 Brewers to be suspended.
  25. It will be amazingly hard after we sign that first base, gritty vet. I can see it now. This year we end up with 5 shortstops and 7 catchers and ZERO first basebman. Next year it will be 6 firstbasemen. Why Doug, why?
