  1. Probably not until the last day of the season. If not after. Yea, they wait till match ups are set, or at least home teams. Location of games makes a difference. I think TV and ratings dictate a lot too. Like the NCAA tournament.
  2. I mean, I get it, but re: Perez the other choices are Arcia, Schoop, and Saladino. I can see an argument that Perez is the best option at SS when considering offense and defense.
  3. Possible side benefit for the Brewers: Vazquez threw like 35 pitches and recorded 6 outs while allowing two runs. He got the save but looked pretty shaky and struggled to get swings and misses. The run in the 8th was the result of Dickerson losing a fly ball in the sun, but even so he gave up some hard contact. Bucs have a day off tomorrow, but I doubt Vazquez is available for all three given today. At the very least, I wouldn't think Hurdle would hesitate to try to squeeze two innings from him given where Pitt is.
  4. Well, it's looking like the Dodgers will salvage a game in Cincy, up 4-1 in the 5th. Of course, it is Cincy, so runs can come cheap. Pit has an early 2-1, but the Cardinal pitcher just led off the third with a triple. He is at 3rd with two out now. Really would like to see Pit win. The west, I just have no clue what I want.
  5. I don't know...I was amazed Cain even got there. I thought that was one of the better in the gap catches I have seen a Brewer make.
  6. Yeah, I still instinctively read balls like that as hits, despite the fact that I dhoild know better by now. On the other hand, I remember watching beer league softball fielders reposition themselves for certain hitters long ago, so another part of me wonders what took so long. Looks like same old same old v. Quintana early. Hope that changes soon or else Chacin manages to dominate for a while.
  7. I remember Game 1 of a Sept. Series last year. Similiar scenario. Cubs win. Different result tonight, I hope.
  8. Cards with a 4 run 8th....
  9. Looking at the EV on Schoop's SF, it was only 92. I thought ot looked out too, but can't really blame the wind there.
  10. Thought CC (well, Murphy?) handled the BP well today. Played to save JJ and Josh while still being ready to do what was needed to get the W. 2 back going to Wrigley. Take 2 of 3 and this is going to get nervy. Maybe we get a pre-2016 style Cub collapse.
  11. That camera angle should be banned. I think it is specific to the director of the broadcast. Some use it more than others. That was just a horrible time for it, though. Agree totally.
  12. Perez just looked confused that AB. Very patient early then hacking at stuff at his ankles. I think he was selling out for the breaking ball.
  13. I wonder if Saladino gets a start tonight at short. Other than that, Keith's guess looks about right. Be big to get a win today and keep rolling.
