Thank goodness.
I have never understood the standard NY uses for overturning calls. Sometimes it's really, really high. Other times it's more like "more likely than not." It's about as bad as VAR in soccer most of the time.
I mean, no choice but just keep hammering away. Keep them at 4 for 10 outs, and see where you are then.
At this point, I am immune to pain. I mean that seriously. This team has reached the stage where it can't hurt me. That last half-inning did it. I should send it a thank you note.
I mean....we need one run. Against a bullpen that's been really good lately but really average most of the year.
I have faith in an offense that deserves none of it. But hope springs attorney.
I mean, I didn't think it was controversial that playoff baseball had a cruel streak, it being a very prone to variance, but, hey, learn something new every day.
Baseball is so so cruel. Your team is built on pitching, and one bad performance in a year of amazing ones puts you in an awful spot.
Offense going to have to win this one.
I really give the DBacks hitters credit. They are putting together a lot of good ABs. As good as Burnes looked through 2, he had to work hard to get there.
