  1. Could be. I am also keeping tabs on that third WC spot. The division is obviously the goal every year, but there's not much difference between being the third division winner and the third WC.
  2. What an awesome road trip. 5-1, coming home with a rested bullpen. Just keep winning.
  3. Long-run, it's good for Uribe to get some moderate-leverage innings under his belt. Now's a good time when you figure, more than likely, even if Williams has to come in, you've still rested 2 of your 3 big BP arms. And....dude has some nasty, nasty stuff....wow.
  4. It's uncanny how good the O/U numbers are the vast majority of the time. I like that prop a lot during Brewer games, and, if the O/U is 5.5 Ks, it's amazing how often the dude ends up with 5 or 6. Really hard to get any kind of edge against the computers.
  5. Dillard mentioned on the broadcast how many pitches Turang has been seeing lately...I think that's a good observation. He's had much better ABs. He really doesn't have to do much with the bat to be a valuable player. I'm thinking it's a good thing Iglesias had to come in and save it for the Braves today.
  6. Lol. I know what you mean. If you had, you'd have been REAL nervous in the 7th inning, though.
  7. This is very thoughtful. Enjoying the discussion in this thread.
  8. Yup. My bad. That sweep in Cincy felt so big because of how tough this upcoming stretch is.
  9. I'm just not sure what the hold-up on Winker is. They must REALLY like him as some kind of talismanic presence or something, or else they have very little faith in the AAA guys. Could be both. It's tough to even complain much about Jesse given the lineup I see every day. This team is about 3 bats away from a halfway decent Major-League offense. This is a tough stretch. Bullpen should be well-rested for the next two. Don't get swept, try to win a series in ATL.
  10. No business winning that one. Weaver got hit with a line drive in Cincy. I didn't see what happened, but he's out of the game in the third inning. It's 4-4. It is indeed nuts to be scoreboard-watching in July, but that Reds bullpen has really been worked hard since the break, and they already threw their best BP arms in losing the resumption of the suspended game earlier today.
  11. Anyone else hold their breath every time someone throws over on Perkins?
  12. Boy, if the Phillies lose this one, those fans will have every right to be their bitter, bitter selves.
  13. I would take the Brewers owning Kimbrel one more time....
  14. Hope the offense has some late-inning magic, but it's not the worst thing for Williams to get another day off.
  15. Wow is right. Beat Diaz, made the Reds pen cover a lot of innings, they got a big 4-game series coming up. Talk about putting the pressure on them. This is hilarious.
  16. Is it weird that I think both things are true?
  17. Going to be a very nervous inning for me.
  18. Given the lack of stress in the 8th and 9th innings the last two days, I think I would endorse either Devin or Payamps for the 9th, assuming it's only a 1-run game.
  19. Alright. How does CC manage this? Monasterio is...a gamer :)
  20. The Reds still have 10 in a row after today, so making Diaz get 5 outs matters at the margins. Of course, beating him would be way better.
  21. I'll take it. Let's hope Taylor's baserunning proves decisive.
  22. Yeah, you'll never convince me on Skyline chili. To each their own, I guess.
