  1. I would have given Suter one more inning. Still nine outs to get and this is an important shut down inning.
  2. Don't forget Urias. Good point. His oh-fer since the Arcia trade has brought him back into the contest.
  3. A couple more swings like that and Bradley might get his average into triple digits. It’s a battle to see who will get there first, Bradley or Hiura.
  4. I figured this was the game the Brewers had to win to avoid a sweep in this series. With the scrub starters going in the next two the prospects are pretty grim.
  5. Yardley is looking like this year’s pitcher who will get a lot of high leverage innings because of success he had last year until he proves that this is a new year.
  6. Great job by Burnes getting out of that inning, but it probably took at least an inning off of his maximum for the day.
  7. It wasn’t close to the same location. Cain’s ball was hit higher and farther. Great defensive play vs a missed catch produces at least a 4 run swing.
  8. I can't believe Coshun didn't say it was popped up on the infield. Coshun is not good but you have to cut announcers some slack when they are watching the game on a TV monitor.
  9. Isn’t it foolish to take a pitcher who was barely able to get any work in spring training and immediately throw him into a high leverage role expecting him to be as effective as he was last season?
  10. Vs Pittsburgh a team likely not seeing 65wins. 10 runs per game is a little more than impressive against any MLB opponent. They scored a ton against the Cardinals too.
  11. We have quite a few guys who should be hitting 8th in the order. Unfortunately, only one can. I look at it from the standpoint of who I’d like to see up with a man on third and two out, and Urias is below both Pina and Robertson on that list.
  12. The Brewers are about to be 0-2 in games in which their starting pitcher allowed no hits in 6 innings. I can’t think of any reason for Urias to be anything other than 8th in the batting order.
  13. Here’s an early season stat to chew on. The Reds are in their 6th game and have scored 60 runs. The Brewers are in their 6th game and have 27 hits.
  14. That’s what I want to see more of from Yelich. Instead of taking the first pitch fastball for a strike go with it up the middle or to left center.
  15. Hiura is the latest example of why I don’t get too excited about minor league prospects. When I hear “he’s hit everywhere he’s been” one of the first names that comes to mind is Randy Ready. Hiura hits and fields just like him.
