    It’s not just Pittsburgh. Since their incredible hot streak of scoring 59 runs in 6 games (with at least 7 in each game), the Brewers have scored just 30 runs in the last 9 games, and 12 of those were in that one game. In the other 8 games they scored 4, 3, 3, 1, 2, 2, 2, 1. Fortunately, they won 3 of those 8 games. I think these last 9 games are a lot closer to what we can expect from the offense going forward than what they did in that 6 game hot streak.

    Evidence is mounting that the run of games a couple of weeks ago was an aberration, and that this offense is not very good.

    I’m getting bad vibes about one of those bad PNC Park series that the Brewers have had too often over the years.

    Oops, my mistake. I was doing something with the game on in the background and saw Megill and the left warming up. So, when I saw a righty in the game I thought Megill was in.

    I don’t like using Megill in the 8th inning there. He might be needed if the Brewers have a chance to win tomorrow.

    This makes six low scoring games (three runs or less) for the Brewers offense in their last seven. They’re fortunate to be 4-3 in those games, but with the looming problems on the pitching staff, the offense is going to have to step up.

    Where are you getting this? The Brewers announced last week that Yelich was placed on the 10 day IL retroactive to the 13th. So, he would be eligible to come off tomorrow if he was ready.

    Lazy, sloppy play by Bauers might decide the game.

    I wish Chourio would be more willing to take balls to right field. He’s shown that he can hit with authority that way, but too often he seems to be pulling off sliders outside when he could be going with them the other way.
