  1. If it ends up being the Cubs who we face, it will be an incredible series. I prefer Craig Counsell not receive an opportunity for validation for leaving Milwaukee.
  2. Let’s assume the Brewers have a 60% chance of beating either the Padres or the Cubs. The 40% chance we lose to the Cubs in a five game series outweighs any joy of eliminating Chicago. I don’t even want Michael Busch to hit a leadoff double in game one.
  3. That would be like getting rid of computers for any industry. Unimaginable. The toothpaste is already out of the tube.
  4. It is so difficult for me to understand why we would want to face the Cubs.
  5. Braun HR against Cubs at end of 2008 was probably my loudest moment.
  6. One time through the order? 🤷‍♂️
  7. All three games at Wrigley
  8. Miller used to be a starter and might be again in the future. I’ll assume Miller is unavailable tomorrow.
  9. Miller and Morejon pitched in game one and two. I assume they are available in game three? If necessary I wonder if Yu Darvish has anything left in the tank.
  10. Should Counsell pinch hit for PCA with runners on first and second against LH reliever? Probably not in the fourth inning, but I wonder if he would later in the game
  11. Counsell using an opener for Imanaga today. Strong move.
  12. Sounds like Google AI to me. Cubs couldn’t have had the tie breaker with that record 🙂
  13. Good take on third pitch for PCA.
  14. Kudos to Boyd. Walk to Machado then sacrifice bunt, infield single leads to runners at the corners with one out and he gets out of it.
  15. San Diego has a scouting report on PCA
  16. Runner on third, nobody out. Cleveland looks like they will get nothing. Brutal
  17. Padres go quietly in the first. Boyd throws 12 pitches. It will be key to avoid Michael Busch setting the table or hitting lead off HR. He seems to do that a lot these days.
  18. Padres and Cubs haven’t faced each other since April. I like Pivetta more than Boyd today.
  19. I remember being almost excited for the Brewers to acquire Steven Kwan. Kwan has hit .254 / .310 / .345 since the all star break. .655 OPS in the second half
  20. Tigers will feel good if they win this wildcard series
  21. Plus, it is normal to wish for an early playoff exit for your rival. Let’s not allow Cubs fans or the organization any momentum into the offseason.
  22. Home teams could be bummed they didn’t get a bye and the road teams are more energized to have simply made the playoffs? 🤷‍♂️
  23. Interestingly, I’m having a hard time thinking of the last time a young pre-arbitration player demanded a trade. I imagine there could be an element of bad faith in terms of collective bargaining if that became common.
