  1. Brewers on pace for 101 wins!
  2. I fondly remember his four good starts in 2002
  3. I remember the early days of Burnes as a starter, he would be fired up for every inning. He seemed to have learned that starting pitching is a marathon and you probably can’t act like a game seven elimination game for every pitch.
  4. We could also shut Miz down for 2025 and try again next year. I think Miz has shown us his floor and ceiling this year. If he can throw strikes, he obviously has value in Milwaukee this season.
  5. Also Moneyball, ‘It’s a process’ Process is probably what the Brewers do better than any other team. If nothing else, Durbin getting a few days rest seems to have reenergized his bat.
  6. I’m not clear on what Pfaadt has accomplished to warrant a $45 million contract (effective next year). Buys out the arbitration years and one year of free agency. 3.61 FIP last year is nice 5.02 ERA and 4.22 FIP for career He’s been healthy since 2023 A calculated lower risk gamble, I suppose
  7. Perkins hasn’t been competitive enough at the plate to allow Yelich a break today, I suppose.
  8. Lockridge is not arbitration eligible until after 2027 (maybe later?). 🙂
  9. We don’t gain anything if Woodruff has a setback on September 24. 🤷‍♂️ I trust Woodruff will balance emptying the tank without wrecking himself.
  10. Kyle Hendricks starts for LAA against the Cubs this afternoon
  11. If Aaron Civale thought he had a leg to stand on to scoff at a bullpen assignment maybe Cortes did, too? (Or, his agent)
  12. Dodgers struggled against Tanner Gordon and even a little bit against Kyle Freeland last week (Rockies). I agree it would be wonderful to have another battle tested starting pitcher now. Dominating the Dodgers does not mean what it used to. .
  13. I was mostly referring to Jake’s 3.60 ERA over 5 IP this year. 🙂 Can save us an inning from the bullpen, if warranted.
