    Vaughn’s OPS is .740 against RHP this season. 1.009 OPS against LHP. It’s ok to use him as a pinch hitter.

    At worst, May is reliable depth. You might be right that Miz, Henderson and Harrison might be our top three starters in the playoffs. There is no guarantee that all three of the young arms remain healthy through September. At best, he is the second most effective starter acquired at the deadline

    May’s first two starts with Milwaukee were very good. Third start he was shelled and fourth start he was hit on the back after one pitch. May is capable of being a reliable playoff starter. Less than Skubal but more than perhaps any other starter acquired at the deadline.

    Colin Rea is presumably the long reliever for Chicago today. He is a flyball pitcher who has not had much success this season.
