It’s probably our best lineup against right handed pitching. Yelich will DH against RHP. Frelick will play RF and we don’t trust Bauers in the outfield. So…🤷♂️ -
I suspect both teams have plenty of reason for optimism and concern after last night‘s game. I imagine all 52 players on the combined rosters believe they are talented and capable of winning today.

The Rays can wake up this morning, knowing they have their best pitcher going against our second best pitcher. Their leverage arms are rested. Our leverage arms are not. it might not matter, but they can definitely have optimism about splitting the first two games

From a poker analogy, I think Tampa is saving their chips to go all in on game two. They like their cards better with Rasmussen and rested leverage arms. If you split on the road, it doesn’t really matter how that happens.

Not seeing the Rays’ leverage arms helped Milwaukee. Our 7th inning run was the difference.

Uribe, Ashby and Megill all should be available tomorrow. Do we try to get Ashby to cover multiple innings again to get through the ninth tomorrow?

It is strange seeing pitchers strike out fewer than six batters per nine innings (Martinez). He also does not walk batters though.

If Rays lose game 1, they get the benefit of telling themselves game 2 can be different. 🤷♂️

Martinez shut us out over 5 innings back in March before allowing a two-run HR to Contreras in the sixth, back in March.

Martinez pitched into the sixth inning during his last start. Same with Peralta, his previous two starts. Rasmussen has averaged seven innings over his past three starts. That said, I don’t see a meaningful mismatch between any of the first three pitching matchups beside Milwaukee in game one.

I hear wanting Peralta to pitch in Tampa, not Milwaukee

Miz and Henderson in game 1 and 2. We are fortunate to have Gasser for game 3. And plenty of LHP in the bullpen for middle innings. Gasser matches up just fine against the Rays.

Sounds right. The only other things I can think of is writing a customer service letter to MLB.com customer support or maybe even 620 WTMJ radio to ask what options there are. -

Do you have an MLB.com or MLB Gameday app audio subscription? That is the only thing I can think of. Not sure how many seasons they archive. -
If we minimize walks allowed, we should be well-positioned to win.
