  1. Yes, it sucked to have Claudio and Hader give up a couple of runs but we had a boat load of opportunities and didn't take advantage of them. One thing I'm noticing for a couple of weeks now is we are leaving way too many runners on base. I didn't see last night's game (I watched the Bucks game instead) but how many times are we gonna leave runners in scoring position with less that 2 outs?? This was an issue last year too. Pitchers use hitters' aggressiveness against them. Braun should've used a nine iron at his last AB.
  2. Yes, the depth of this team is nuts. They have reserves who would start on a lot of other teams.
  3. That would be as close to a superpen as we’ve ever had: Peralta Houser Nelson Claudio Jeffress Burnes Guerra Hader Then in June sign kimbrel or call up Rasmussen before September to add yet another dominant arm giving us the superpen to shut down the dodgers. I know there are guys here who don't want Kimbrel but what is going on with this guy that he is still a FA?
  4. Rats. I won't be able to see his debut tonight so I hope you all let those of us who can't see it let us know how he does.
  5. His base running this year has been brutal at times.
  6. I can live with these lousy umps if they call it the same for both teams. When folks aren't grousing about the strike zone you know the ump is doing a good job.
  7. Who is this woman announcer for ESPN? What are her credentials that make her qualified to be in that booth? I don't mind having gals call these games but I was just wondering....
  8. Hitting into a boat load of double plays was the biggest factor in losing that series than anything else. We got guys on base enough but couldn't get the clutch hit when we needed it. I have no issues with the pitching and that was my concern going into Wrigley. Let's hope the bats wake up in Philly tonight.
  9. Neither team was very good at the plate. They got a few more hits but we hit into a boat load of double plays. It sucks to lose to them but it is really just one game. Hopefully it won't be raining Sunday night...
  10. Kinbrel is still unsigned and FA? You have to wonder why nobody is calling on him....
  11. Perhaps CC should leave him out there instead of trying to make a starter out of him?
  12. My only thought is, would we (our fans) do the same? I think we would for the most part which sucks. If those fans are booing because of his PED suspension all I can add is that is ancient history. I suspect some of that booing might be because Braun hits so well there.
  13. You forgot to type that in [sarcasm]blue[/sarcasm].
  14. Congrats on your new baby! I can understand her concerns being away from your little one for the first time. I haven't been to Miller Park in several years. Enjoy!
  15. If taking him off your fantasy team is what it will take to get him going, yes - thanks!
  16. Yes, the Nats are a very sloppy team. It was almost sad to watch them mess up so much. Almost.
  17. You see that kind of reaction by fans in every ball park. Maybe so, but it seems to have taken root at Miller Park more so than before. Maybe the success of the team has brought in more fans that really have no clue? Probably.
  18. Braun was lucky as hell when he tried to stretch that single into a double earlier in the game. He was a dead duck but the Mets' infielder dropped the pass.
  19. I thought so too. The first 2 pitches looked like strikes at the bottom of that box. If I were a Mets fan I wouldn't be too pleased right now.
