  1. Parra is a decent leadoff hitter. He gets on base a lot and has some power. I'm almost sorry to see Davis return to the lineup because that will sit Parra down and put Go-Go back to lead off.
  2. As of today Frankie is #8 in saves in the NL with a 1.45 ERA. He'd probably be higher up if he had more saves. Right now Braun is the #4 right fielder for the NL. His batting average is up to .277 and he is third in RBI and third of all right fielders in homers. What might aid Braun in being chosen is the injury to Stanton.
  3. I don't understand what you talking about with Gallardo here...
  4. Unless we cut them and eat their salaries nobody is gonna want either of these guys so we are probably stuck with them.
  5. I'd prefer they go outside of the organization, frankly. A fresh look from a different perspective could do wonders for this franchise.
  6. I must be one of the very few who are enjoying seeing them play half way decent baseball. They still mess up from time to time but this is a hell of a lot more fun to watch than what we witnessed earlier this season. It won't be the end of the world if we don't get the #1 pick in next year's draft.
  7. That wouldn't be a charitable thing to do to the Astros.
  8. Jimmy looked bad out there last night but after a couple of shaky innings he got it together and pitched very well. We forget how young he is so for him to fix himself in the middle of the game is very encouraging imo.
  9. I still can't believe that Stanton put one above my head last year at Target Field...and I was near the top of LF. Incredible. Didn't he hit one into the CF section too? Ridiculous In FL we get all of the Marlin games and we watch that team just to see him hit. I think he hit one out of Dodger Stadium earlier this year. He is a stud, no question.
  10. Do we really want to be the worst team in baseball? I don't. I'm happy the guys are winning some games now. I like to watch baseball in the evenings because most of the other crap on TV isn't worth watching. I sure as heck don't want to relive the horrors we witnessed in April and May.
  11. I'm still sorry Stanton won't be in it.
  12. The only guy on our roster who resembles a lead off hitter is Parra. I hope he's back there again tonight.
  13. You've gotta be kidding me? The dude has been lights out the entire season. People complain, just to complain. If you don't like him, fine, but he's earned his paycheck this season and there's no debating that. No kidding. It hasn't been a fun season but why in the hell can't we enjoy a win against a contending team once in a while?
  14. Because the team is playing poorly attendance is already declining. He should be looking long term here. If we can improve the farm and the big club so we win more consistently he won't have to worry about attendance. Brewer fans have shown if you put a decent product on the diamond they'll show up.
  15. Back in FL where I live we see every Marlin game and Stanton is my favorite player in the league so I am disappointed he got hurt. How long will he be out?
  16. Rats. The game will be televised only the MLB network at I won't be able to see the game while we are renting at UWGB.
  17. I think we, as Brewers fans, can appreciate this. Brauny getting snagged for roids wasn't the big deal. His bold faced claiming that "the truth" would come out is why he's such a villain now. And why he gets booed in almost every stadium we visit and why he probably will not make the HOF in the end.
  18. If we had to choose between Garza and Loshe that's a no brainer.
  19. I was really pleased with him tonight and he wasn't all that bad in his last start. He just ran into a pitcher who was unreal. If he can develop a chance of pace pitch he'll be a real find for us.
  20. Has Ramirez said publicly he doesn't want to be traded? I don't recall ever hearing that.
  21. Yes, anybody but the Cubs or Cards.
  22. Let's be honest. If any of us were out there day after day getting our head bashed in by every team in both leagues we'd quit too. I don't blame Counsell. He was put in a no win situation literally and figuratively. You can see it on every one of their faces how all of this losing has drained them emotionally. It is all really just sad.
