  1. The fact that the Milwaukee Brewers have been prominent (and perhaps leading for a time) bidders on premium players like Darvish and Machado under DS should be exciting enough for us. One of these times it's going to happen.
  2. Could Peralta (hope not) be going and that's why Burnes got the nod to come up...to take his place?
  3. To be a devil's advocate on the payroll comments....on the other hand, Machado is the type of guy that could extend the range of our fan base and allow us to up that payroll above the historical range for the long term. No, I don't foresee us signing him long term, but guys like Machado would increase interest in the Brewers significantly.
  4. If anyone could use a hit, it’s you, man. Lol Nah i'm good. I will lose enough brain cells with age, don't need to push it along faster. For the record I am libertarian and really could give a rip what folks do with their body, it's just the whole concept of employers having rules and the employee is too dumb to follow them that pisses me off.
  5. I don't like that trade at all. By no means am I a keep Hiura at all costs guy, but Peralta has been pretty good himself. Maybe if it was Ortiz or something then yes, but i'm not parting with Hiura and Peralta for a catcher with a couple years control & then a date with big market mania if i'm GM.
  6. I'm sick and tired of the general attitude surrounding MJ getting a pass with athletes. These human beings make MILLIONS and MILLIONS of dollars a year, put the blunt out and follow the rules and when you retire you can smoke as much as you want. "Progressive" my behind, MJ can cause health problems just like smoking can. There's simply no excuse for it.
  7. Why is he a moron for chasing a ring? We talk all the time about how players are in it just for the money, so what's wrong with a player wanting to win a ring? He isn't the moron. The morons I am referring to is the sports media that is actually trying to sell it as he couldn't find an offer EXCEPT from the Warriors who for some unknown reason have unlimited salary cap space and just happen to have more money to dole out. Hurt right now or not Boogie is a top 15+ player when on the court and they legitimately have 5 superstars when healthy now. You're telling me there weren't 10 teams out there offering AT LEAST that amount of money ESPN, Yahoo, etc? BS.
  8. I believe we've sniffed around Stroman (buy low), doubt Happ. He ain't no CC type rental...just an average Joe middle of the road type of guy...waste of assets. I could be convinced that we've talked about Syndergaard too. Yanks are in on Happ and deGrom so they're off the table just for that IMO.
  9. Realllllllllllllllly dried up. No it's called ring chasing morons. Earth to Adam Silver...the Warriors, Lakers, and Rockets may make you alot of money, but there's 25 other franchises out there that are in irrelevance. Why should their fans even care when it's a predetermined outcome before the season even starts who's going to be left standing? Name one NBA player who's come back from a torn Achilles tendon in under 1.5 years and played ate a high level. human highlight reel.
  10. I don't know what's a bigger farce...Cousins signing with the Warriors or the beat writers actually trying to sell that he had no offers and had to take a discount. SOMEHOW the "discount" just so happened to be with the Warriors.
  11. 1 year 4.5 million for Lance Stephenson or 3 years 21 million for Ersan Ilyasova. I would have rather given Stephenson 3/21 and maybe traded Brogdon. There is zero innovation coming from this ownership at all. Really beginning to think we were sold a bill of goods by these clowns on the level of Pohlad/Target Field proportions. I hope i'm wrong but other than a pure stroke of luck picking Giannis this team would be one of the worst in the league (and would have been for most of their tenure).
  12. No cap room to sign anyone, wasted it all on players that have done nothing.
  13. This is a rare case where captain hindsight is absolutely legit. That's the type of game that can kill a team's momentum IMO, there is no excuse for calling a guy up with that sketchy of a track record and deploying him in that spot. It's not fair to him and it's most certainly not fair to the team.
  14. We made our bullpen addition already and it didn't cost us a dime. Mike Zagurski.
  15. Why am I even a fan of this turd organization? It's like groundhogs day every offseason when we pay out large sums of money to garbage or declining/old talent. It just never ends....Plumlee, Snell, Teletovic, now an old Ilyasova on like his 6th or 7th stop since he left here blah blah blah. We'll never have any decent salary space. Woohoo for the excitement going into the new building.
  16. So let's trade a Peralta whos pitching like an Ace and our top prospect as well as other prospects for another Ace. And then put more salary on the books. Yeah, I like sending $100 to get $90.00. 4, count em 4 starts at the MLB level (one he got rocked) and we're anointing him an ace? C'mon bro.
  17. Escobar makes total sense. How about a Gibby/Escobar package deal?
  18. I'd give Hiura, Domingo, Burnes or Peralta + for Thor, not deGrom.
  19. The terrorists got me...was excited to go all spring and then I read reviews. Since I have the right setup at home to watch a Star wars type movie I decided i'd prefer to keep Emilia Clarke as Daenerys in my mind until Thrones is over....don't need to run any risk of ruining my favorite show of all.
  20. Buy high much?
  21. Freddy Peralta is quickly putting himself in Josh Hader territory.
  22. Great. Another one of these "rare day offs" that turn into DL stints.
  23. As long as we can have T Plush too.
  24. We would be in a world of hurt without Cain and Hader. Aguilar is having a heck of a breakout year though.
  25. Jesus that McCoy kid. That signing is the Sam Shields signing for the Bucks IMO. Watch this summary of the Arizona game. Dude is raw but STILL hit 33/10 and ate Ayton up down the stretch. If he quits fumbling the ball around and gets a little less soft..... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7fz9r24l44Y
