  1. Any of you guys do livestreaming? I can't seem to get a grasp of it in my head as someone who hasn't gamed a ton recently why people actually pay to watch video gaming, but my friend keeps telling me about all the money he's making. Not $50 either...more like $500. Few weeks back he made $1700 in about 12 hours worth of "work." Really makes me wonder why I work a 9/5. LOL
  2. Not even including Bryce Harper lol on a bad season. Khris Davis isn't even on my radar as "the premiere slugger." Hell, Aguilar is up there as a slugger. You have to at least be able to throw a baseball to be a premiere anything...
  3. That is an embarrassing display of pitching, and it isnt a one day deal either. Knebel has been a disaster or teetering on one for some time now...time to demote him where he belongs, mop up duty until he figures out how to be a competent relief pitcher.
  4. Fizer Forum. It's going to be the 41 Forum in my heart. Boy that brought back memories...good old Marcus Fizer.
  5. It's real...and it's sketchy.
  6. Simply not true. The package that landed 2 and a half years of Kevin Gausman was FAR, FAR weaker than the package that Stearns gave up to get Schoop. That's why we are typing on the computer and David Stearns is making the trades. This isn't a dig towards you, but obviously the Braves and Orioles do not agree with your assessment with regards to the Gausman deal. And no I don't get the Schoop deal, it seems fairly Herb Kohl-like "last minute must grab a guy" to me...unlike the Moustakas and Soria deals.
  7. Nevermind Albers was good in 2012....and 2013....and 2014....and 2015....and 2017.....and through 6/1 2018 before he ended up on the DL. What he's been doing is completely unacceptable, but we need him to be good down the stretch. He's off because he was on the DL with the shoulder, and maybe it isn't right still. No thank you to anymore Taylor Williams, Wilkerson, etc types, I want the vet if he's able to pitch effectively.
  8. It seems skewed because the "misses" are often quickly jettisoned, ala Brad Miller. Others that fall into that category include Boone Logan and Neftali Feliz. This is even more important than the ones Stearns has hit on. He knows where the risk/reward is, yet at the same time he knows when it's time to cut bait...rather than ride something into the ground praying for miracles.
  9. Sitting here not sure if i'm supposed to be more excited by perennial turd Wade Miley becoming an ace, or a 6-5 tortoise 3rd baseman look like a gold glover at 2nd base.
  10. Another 3 innings for Peralta and 80 pitches...no efficiency at all. Option A. Sell what needs to be sold for Syndergaard, Rodon, etc.
  11. I would guess they won't trade him or it would have happened already...the Pohlads view him as a cash cow "fan favorite" for their cheap AF pocketbooks. He'll get an extension instead.
  12. I honestly don't think you get Realmuto without giving up one of Hiura, Burnes, or Peralta. Hiura/Woodruff/Ortiz/Nottingham might get it done and I think is a bit of an overpay, but I also wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't enough for the Marlins. Stearn's master plan...Shaw at 2B and Moustakas at 3B long term, trading Hiura for an ace.
  13. Off the board...I like your thinking. Boras client too which we all know Mark A loves.
  14. Good time to package woodruff and peralta (+) for a thor/degrom and compress the list, and then get Gausman/Bundy for Ortiz+ imo. All controllable and can especially sell deGrom or Thor if things go south for some reason and recover most of the value. Maybe sell Chacin, Guerra, or Anderson in the off-season and promote Burnes if Nelson's good to go. Davies probably has no value. deGrom/Syndergaard Chacin Gausman/Bundy Guerra Anderson Nelson Burnes Davies
  15. Where is this 40 man roster that holds unlimited amounts of prospects you speak of? Apparently you should call Stearns and let him know where it is so we never have to dump a prospect again. Do we play 4 OF at a time as well?
  16. This one makes no sense to me, so there must be something else. I see what hes doing though in loading up (likely) FA that can help now with guys we may expose in rule 5 anyway.
  17. I just can't comprehend the Moustakas thing. I must not be nerdy analytical enough.
  18. What really would we need to do though? Small buy here or there? We have a bunch of guys in the system for depth that will be able to come up in the next year or two...Mark A will boost the payroll if he sees consistent winning on the table.
  19. Id prefer Bundy personally even if it costs more..,.
  20. Meanwhile Brinson batting .185, worse avg than Arcia if thats even possible. Hug those prospects....what a steal.
  21. This is basically my take on the trade. Very high upside PITCHER for an old expensive reliever who may be a 10 week rental......yuuuuuuuuck. Correction: Mid-tier pitching prospect who we would probably lose for nothing otherwise, for one of the best relievers in baseball. "Haunting." We could trade Wilbur Perez only for Soria and there are still folks that will scream horrible idea. Khris Davis is exactly what Domingo Santana is or was in terms of value. Dime a dozen outfielders with some pop and no defense. Were lucky we even found a taker.
  22. Ditto on not liking the trade for a variety of reasons, but losing games when they've lead after 6 innings has not been a problem for this team. And there are going to be days where you are getting blown out and it's just fine to use Drake/Logan/etc. I just think there was zero need to get fatter in the bullpen right now. They need an impact bat or two and a SP that can project as somewhere between ACE and #3. If they go out and get a Ray Durham type, I'll lose my mind. As fun as trading is, I wish they would have just stood pat with their resources this year. They really failed to capitalize on their start for the 2nd year in a row and make a move in early July to push the envelope, a la Sabathia. Instead, they sat on their hands and allowed a horrible losing streak, more than likely, cause a repeat of 2017 and a complete miss of the playoffs. I've read this novel too many times as a Brewers fan. I'll be shocked if they get an impact bat and a worthy SP to go along with Soria. If they don't, I don't see the point in Soria. Step off the ledge son. We trades the 13th rated prosp in the system. Plenty of time to make one or several trades.
  23. Get the GM on the phone and take one of them away for anything they want before Tampa is the recipient of their stupid ideas.
  24. I'm big on board with Gibson and id even extend him immediately. As previous poster said he figured something out last year, can see it over here in twins land watching him. It's a poor man's but low risk reward imo.
  25. I almost thought you were going to say the Bucks, after all we're supposedly modeling after the Spurs aren't we?
