  1. All part of the plan: Monday's news- https://www.jsonline.com/story/money/business/2020/02/17/economic-impact-miller-park-2-5-billion-according-new-study/4785243002/ Tuesday's news- https://www.jsonline.com/story/sports/mlb/brewers/2020/02/18/brewers-lost-money-2019-principal-owner-mark-attanasio-says/4790377002/ We see what you are doing here Mark. For those that like Miller Park/American Family Field, prepare yourself for the brain-washing that it is old, decrepit, the roof is about to fall in...and the Brewers need 1 billion dollars from you to stay competitive! And if you don’t like it, Montreal is calling... They really do think we’re a bunch of clapping seals.

  3. Failed MLB pitcher goes to Korea, works on things, gets a cheap deal to come back to MLB. “I feel comfortable going into the season with him.” It’s OK to be optimistic, but there shouldn’t be any sort of comfort whatsoever unless Lindblom was our depth guy. Let me know what flavor kool aid gets me to that position please. Did we just plain skip over the fact he tried KBO —> MLB once already and it was an unmitigated disaster?
  4. I don’t think Yelich is going anywhere absent an ungodly FA contract. Especially with how cheap Stearns is, it would be easy to maneuver a Yelich deal long term. Name value alone, he is the one guy that the nation thinks of when they think of milwaukee. That is very marketable especially for things like tv deals, national tv baseball games, etc. He’s just too talented to willingly allow him to leave...retire him a Brewer.
  5. Iggy to Miami.
  6. They’ve done enough rearranging deck chairs on the titanic where IF everything goes as expected, no injuries etc they will be able to contend. There is no real power behind what’s gone on really though and 1 or 2 pitching injuries in particular they will be finished. Now the Twins on the other hand...that’s what you call going out on a limb and trying to improve.
  7. I still don’t know why were rebranding logos and crap. Maybe if more time was put into equity in the same logo and not selling outrageously high priced sweat shop labor jerseys....but that’s just me. I still have the same jersey as 10 years ago...stumbled across a black with yellow letters Braun in a foot locker for like a hundred bucks. Never seen another like it, can’t even find a picture online, and have no intention of ever buying another again. Maybe the brewers should rebrand again to black next time?
  8. Now add Avilan or Strop and I will be satisfied with the pen.
  9. This basketball organization is circling the toilet bowl and on the verge of being flushed. Gards had his shot, time to cut bait.
  10. There haven’t been any good “buy lows for free with zero downside risk, but hey they were good 4 years ago” values to be had... Just be patient, lots of offseason left.
  11. Totally agree with this statement. Don’t mess with a good thing. The engine is running perfectly the way it is. Don’t try to be too cute and risk messing it up. I would add Iguodala if it doesn’t end up costing a mint, but otherwise same here.
  12. I hope we are all surprised too. We were all told after all to not panic and that the big signings all happened in January previously.
  13. The NBA is too many games, too much politics, and too many egos. I consider myself to be a pretty big Bucks fan (I suffered through Herb Kohl watching 90% of the games)...haven’t watched a game this year. Why you say? Because in my mind we’re going through the motions from November to April. Every...second...night is just another game. The same stale questions in the locker room. The same broadcasts. The same repetitive stuff for 82 games, just like the NHL. Let me know when April is here and I’ll start watching again....when these teams actually play defense and work night in and night out. Why even pay attention when there’s a monthly BS article about “Warriors wooing Giannis” years before he’s a FA? For some reason MLB has never bothered me with so many games. Maybe it’s because nothing else is going on in the summer IDK. The Brewers mean more to me than the Bucks.
  14. Because 3 of Yardley Feyereisen Black Devin Wahl etc is better? If Knebel can't start the season this teams currently looking at Hader Suter Peralta Claudio and 4 shuttle guys. This. Given some of the garbage we’ve signed this offseason this one actually makes sense to me. He must want 2-3 years or something.
  15. Why must everything be a “no lose, mediocre upside” proposition? I don’t see anything here besides a boy I hope he gets through the 7th guy. I guess we’ll just camp on our money Ted.
  16. Among the top 30 WR's in terms of receiving yards in 2019: - 4 of the top 10 were taken after pick #60 - 11 of the top 20 were taken after pick #60 - 15 of the top 30 were taken after pick #60 There is no need to spend a 1st round pick on a WR when the data says that you can get good ones in the 2nd and 3rd round. San Francisco didn't get to where they are by spending 1st round picks on WRs; they spent them on DL and OL. Jeudy is worth mortgaging the draft for somebody, Ruggs is really good too and there’s others. I would spend a 1st or a 2nd in a heartbeat, we cannot go through another season of this. A good offense that can move the chains and put fear in the opposition will make our defense better, rather than praying to god they can play good enough for the offense to scrape some points together and eke out a W. Garoppolo may have had to throw the ball a bit if they were down or in a close game, which gives our guys a chance to make plays. Sign a rangy MLB and some DL depth.
  17. Plenty of people were calling for Adams to get cut after his second year. Takes a long time to get on the same page as Rodgers - Adams said that earlier this week. Could always see it in there somewhere with Adams though, and he had insane college stats...I think that’s why people were so frustrated.. I don’t see it with MVS, and Allison has had plenty of time. If they want to keep one as a #4 or #5 I’m ok with it, but the top end talent must improve next season. St brown flashed but that’s not good enough to hope he’s good in a few years. We’re running out of time (thanks TT).
  18. What do you expect him to do when his 2nd leading WR is a running back and he literally has 1 other pass catcher that belongs on the football field? Lazard is interesting but he’s a #4 or at best a #3 right now. Scantling is a bust as is Allison. Graham is near the end, Marcedes Lewis is a blocker. Valdez-Scantling was a 5th round pick, and Allison was a rookie free agent. Those guys just are what they are. You can't call a player a bust when they really had no expectations to but from. They were expecting a lot from Valdez-Scantling after he flashed last year, but he's just too limited. This draft is loaded with WR talent. It's time to get one of the top guys and develop a weapon opposite Adams. Or sign a better FA receiver. Didn’t mean it so far as draft status, moreso they need to be gone, they’re worthless to us. There’s been a TON of time invested in them, time to cut the losses. I think we need a FA as well as a high draft pick and another high upside pick invested. It takes a couple years to grow WRs and if we miss again that’ll be it for Rodgers. Trouble is, outside Amari Cooper I don’t think there is much in free agency that is solid. I think Antonio Brown is completely out of the question, he may be one of the dumbest football players to ever play in the NFL. Talk about lighting a HoF career on fire. Maybe target Keenan Allen in a trade if Rivers leaves and the Chargers decide to rip it all apart....?
  19. Rodgers hasn’t been very good since 2015, and his first half performance killed any chance we had tonight. MVP? I don’t think he’s a top 10 QB What do you expect him to do when his 2nd leading WR is a running back and he literally has 1 other pass catcher that belongs on the football field? Lazard is interesting but he’s a #4 or at best a #3 right now. Scantling is a bust as is Allison. Graham is near the end, Marcedes Lewis is a blocker.
  20. Silly it may be but maybe make the throw and it wouldn’t matter.
  21. I think you missed my point. If you thought they weren't going to win, how can you be angry that they didn't win? I am angry about how undisciplined, unorganized, and unprepared they seem to be. This 49ers team is not an all time great team, they’re “good.” I’m trying to not go down the road of #12 as it’s not all him and he’s HOF but he is a common denominator in all of these embarrassments the past many years.
  22. Did you expect a win coming in? Most didn't. Maybe read my post and you’ll have your question answered. I highlighted it in blue for you. And since you seem to think I’m an “I told you so” guy I’m far from it. It’s just the same ole same ole, and you know it’s true.
  23. I don’t know about frauds. They are what they are, at least a year away. The season as a whole exceeded expectations. All I ask is for a good football game. I don’t expect a win here. Rodgers unaware in the pocket (or blame it on the OL), turnovers via center/QB exchanges, shanked punts, interceptions, poor kickoff return decisions. What about that is not embarrassing or fraudulent?
  24. I don’t know why I even watch football. Year after year it’s the same thing, you think you see a little light at the end of the tunnel and these frauds just lay egg after egg when it matters most.
