  1. I’d be good with that too. I’m somewhat skeptical he’d succeed. But he’s earned the chance. edit - saw your post above and you’ve convinced me. I’m in on Ashby being a lite version of 2018 Hader.
  2. Agree with this. Would it be cool to see Ashby as a 1 inning guy who can really use all his gas and maybe be a power lefty? Yeah it would. But his role now gives the high leverage bullpen guys off days and until yesterday he’s been awesome. They’re using him just fine.
  3. Agree to disagree. Even when he was hitting well all the signs that ultimately resulted in him failing were present.
  4. Yeah the brewers have no idea how to develop young talent.
  5. Personally I’d love to go with a six man rotation. Mis, Woody, Freddy, Priester, Quintana, Cortes. If we trade JQ then give Myers a shot. Patrick next guy up. But Patrick over Myers (or QP if he struggles) is reasonable too.
  6. More likely that UWM randomly gets a huge donation or booster for their baseball program. But it won’t happen either.
  7. Don’t think that will do anything, he’s probably going to need surgery. This is just what we get this year.
  8. I think Joey is going to get a lot of leash. He was playing SS for the first time at the MLB level. It took him awhile to settle in but now he’s looking comfortable. And the at bats have improved a lot. I don’t think that’s a coincidence.
  9. I think Priester has better stuff but could see it either way.
  10. Yeah I thought he pitched great yesterday. Arenado beat him but it was a great battle. Then a well placed bunt. Still managed to get out of it. He was executing well.
  11. I don't have a problem with how Contreras feels or what he said about Rhys, but to say it on the record during media availability is pretty insane
  12. 9 hits in the last 5 games for Yelich. Average up 26 points in 5 games. Easier to do when you’re sitting at .184 but maybe he’s found something.
  13. I agree they are pressing and need to relax mentally, but to suggest the coaches or players haven’t thought of this is pretty crazy.
  14. Contreras seems fully recovered from his slow start.
  15. Service time cutoff just passed, so I assume we’ll see him soon.
  16. 1. completely agree. 2. I was at the game last night against Lorenzen, and Turang and Yelich both had good opportunities to steal and didn't. So I'm probably just letting that impact my opinion more than I should.
  17. Ghost runner with Chourio, Yelich, Contreras is a situation we need to score in.
  18. So why aren't we even trying to steal bases so far this year? The weather?
  19. It's possible. I did about 15 lbs in 3-4 months. and I wasn't working nearly as hard as these guys are and was taking 0 supplements and wasn't that focused on my diet. I was pretty thin to start out with so that may have contributed, but it is possible. There are always anomalies.
  20. You're right. Looks like he's only pitched more than one inning twice this year. My brain is faulty.
  21. Anyone else a little surprised they didn't run Megill back out there and try to save Williams for the 10th?
  22. Gambling odds have this one as a toss up.
