  1. I agree. We need to play the guys who are making hard contact regardless of the name on the back of their jersey.
  2. Notable OPS in the NLCS Cain 655 Yelich 442 Braun 558 Jesus 708 Moose 232 Arcia 947 Shaw 917 Schoop 000 Perez 365 Not much a manager can do with that. The series has just been too much for our regular season stars.
  3. They have an interesting team. Lopez and DDV are nice pick ups. I just wish we still didn’t have that contract deadweights or we might have something.
  4. I think that's good advice for this board too. Take a day off, get drunk, come back ready for Friday. Best post of the evening. Where do I sign up?
  5. I agree Perez is barely a major leaguer let alone a traditional 5th place hitter. With the way we are hitting now I’m not sure it matters right now.
  6. Yes, when he gets the MVP trophy they should take it away. Only a .441 OBP in the playoffs? How dare he nearly match the OBP that arguably the two greatest hitters in the history of the game (Bonds and Williams) achieved consistently. Yeah he was awesome. Let’s get his $200M extension ready. good, fact-based rebuttal! What facts do you want? He has been a complete mess at the plate. Is that really something you are debating?

  8. One clean inning from JJ and a key hit from moose, Schoop, and you know who and Counsel swept the Dodgers. I am not buying CC didn’t put our guys in a position to be playing in the World Series. The players just came up small on the big stage.
  9. Spot on Can't forget JJ. Even if you think it was the right decision and wrong result to use him, you have to concede he crapped the bed something fierce. This was looking like 15 wins in a row and an easy trip to the World Series before the end of game 2. JJ was horrible for sure but I guess you have to expect that one pitcher won’t be himself. What you don’t expect is most of our key guys completely falling apart when you need them the most including the “MVP”. The playoffs are where legends are made. Or lost.
  10. Well I can’t say I’m optimistic because our key hitters barely have a pulse right now but I’d rather lose like this than last night where we had every opportunity and blew through our best pitching in the process.
  11. Santana definitely needs to be in the lineup and Yelich needs to be moved way down the order. No, Yelich will be fine back in mke, mark my words. Odd assumption. But I’ll bite, why?
  12. I’m actually surprised at Yelich and Moose. I didn’t realize how badly they would fall apart. I think we all know Jesus was a nice surprise earlier in the year but not a guy you count on and Cain would be up and down but you can’t pull him because of his defense. I can buy losing games 7-1 with our starting pitching and their hitting, but not 2–1 when guys like Peralta come up so big. That stings. Tough series for LHB. It seems Moose and Yelich have faced an LHP 95% of their at bats in this series. The disappointment is Jesus and his 0-17 with runners on. Can't have a guy in an RBI spot absolutely fail over and over. We really lack a true run producer and it shows here. RBIs matter.
  13. Santana definitely needs to be in the lineup and Yelich needs to be moved way down the order.
  14. Your takeaway is this was Counsels fault? A team that scored 2 runs in the last 20 innings was done in because they didn’t walk a few hitters?
  15. Lol. No. We lost the game and possibly the series because we can’t score more than one run despite many opportunities.
  16. These outcomes would be easier to take if the Dodgers were mashing the ball all over the yard, but instead it was right there for the Brewers taking and they did nothing with it. Yes. We were maybe two or three key hits from the top of our lineup from being home waiting for the AL team. Now the odds are heavily in the Dodgers favor.
  17. I’m actually surprised at Yelich and Moose. I didn’t realize how badly they would fall apart. 18. So now what do we do for game 6? Do we really play the same guys who have completely lost it at the top of the order? Santana needs to play.
  19. The game they benched Grandal they scored 2 runs in 13 innings, I assume you wanted to bench Cain who has our only XBH today? Their defense tighten up. Yelich needs to move way down in the order. The reality is Santana would have been a better option. Way better. Great 3-1. That’s that.
  20. The Dodgers series fortunes changed when they benched Grandal. We are still playing our guys who aren’t producing.
  21. Shame to see a guy like Woodruff come up big and Yelich and Moose playing so badly.
  22. It’s no longer stressful. After yesterday and seeing the second inning today we know how this will end.
  23. Well Cain came to play but Yelich pretty much packed it in. We really should be up big now. 2-1. That’s it.
