  1. You mean putting an unathletic career corner guy at 2B wouldn’t work? Also Blue
  2. Now that is irony. Saying we need a 2B when we, we’ll you know.
  3. Not good. Only a triple so you were totally wrong. Yes. Blue.
  4. I think he was joking, but you cannot deny the irony. Not irony
  5. I still have hopes for the offense to get hot. We should be able to go 7 deep if Schoop can get on a roll.
  6. If you look at it from a neutral POV, our pitchers today in a pennant race were Junior, Lyles, Jennings, and Albers. No one outside of the most homer of Brewer fans would think that is a pitching lineup of a serious contender. We need to get some arms prior to September 1st.
  7. We signed Lyles to our 25 man in the middle of a pennant race. Facepalm.
  8. I’d need to see that we have building block players that won’t regress. Yelich and Hader for sure qualifies. I don’t think Hiura is going be our guy in 2019. He has hit a bit of a wall in AA so I’m pumping the brakes on the Molitor comps. Burnes will likely be in our rotation. Nelson and Davies should be back too. We will lose Moose, Soria, and likely Schoop because there is no good reason to pay him $10M.
  9. I'd say he's better than average. No GM could have foreseen the large number of players who have regressed for the team this year. He's made some great moves, some horrible moves, and many moves that the jury is still out on. I think you need to give a GM five years in order to get an accurate take on their performance. I agree he needs 5 years to see what we really have in the guy. I’d be more interested in seeing what we actually have on the farm by then which is the primary way to build a small market contender.
  10. Stearns is an average GM. He was given GOAT status on here for whatever reason but that was based on the always misleading small sample size. It does seem he is better in the off-season than mid season.
  11. We are 36-38 since June 1. Assuming we play at that pace we will end up with 87 wins.
  12. 2/5 isn't a big deal. There are cheaper ways to bring in guys with near 7 ERAs.
  13. Who says the IGT doesn’t have a sense of humor?
  14. Harvey hasn’t been good since 2015. What am I missing here? Praying for a DJ miracle?
  15. ... proceeds to walk the pitcher. Yeah that’s no good but 3 innings on 39 pitches when we badly needed a start like this is impressive.
  16. All pretty reasonable.
  17. The Cubs are in first place with a 2016 Ring while we are in third place with a farm system ranked in the 20’s. Furthermore acquiring Murphy for little to nothing seems like smart business.
  18. I agree. Most teams error on the side of the absurd when it comes to young arms.
