    NO!!! The focus is on 2017 numbers. Everything before that doesn't exist!!! Since his last year that mattered before 2017 was 2013, then yes you ignore them.

    CC has this goofy roster with a terrible starting rotation and an injured all star caliber closer and OF at 6-5. He will not be fired anytime soon.

    When they signed him they knew Nelson was hurt and they didn’t fill in the rest of the rotation so I’m not sure how he wasn’t signed as our number 3?

    Bunk. He has a career 4.19 ERA outside of Petco, including a career 4.23 ERA pitching at Coors Field. He's been a better pitcher (using ERA) at Comerica Park, Nationals Park, and AT&T Park. He has a sub-4.00 ERA in 12 different parks. 6.53 ERA last year away from Petco with a 851 OPS. He is absolutely a bad pitcher away from Petco. Btw, Miller park is away from Petco.

    He’s a bad pitcher away from Petco who should never have been signed as anything other than a contender for our number 5. I have no idea why Stearns signed this guy to be a key part of our rotation if his was plan was to seriously contend for a WC.

    That’s fair. They did over achieve. I think many just wish the simple mistakes would reduce but they haven’t. And errors and bad defense is contagious. At first glance I thought Boomer5 was having a conversation with himself. Lol My question is, are errors made on the field a managers fault? To me that speaks to the players way more. Mental errors could be a managers thing but how does one blame physical errors on a manager? I’ve been known to do that.

    The team grossly over achieved last year and teams that do that tend to not repeat. No one into analytics is expecting the Brewers to be a playoff team. Therefore. CC is staying put.

    I was looking at baseball reference. Number 1 in the NL in Errors, number 1 in the NL in strikeouts. Minus 12 in run differential. Tighten this up!

    Looking at these huge bullpens and lack of bench options, the NL needs to either go the DH or expand the roster to 26. The Cubs had to PH Lester in a 9 inning game. Of course he and his .083 BA actually drove in a run but that’s a story for yesterday’s debacle that I won’t be talking about.

    It was such an odd offseason. After going after OFers we really didn’t need, the team raised the white flag after January 25th. I’m sure there was a bigger set of moves at some point?

    A closers job by definition is to sit on his behind for 3 hours before going out and throwing 15 pitches. I highly doubt this is anything other a complete freak injury.

    Was the plan to honestly give Suter 30 starts this year?

    The talent is at least there on the hitting to improve as the season goes on, at least our 1-5 with Braun at 1B. It is not there in the rotation.

    What’s actually funny is Suter isn’t even our number 5. Stearns willingly put him as our regular number 4. My goodness what a waste of a quality lineup.

    He seems like such a likable guy but I swear Rock and Brian literally giggle when a major league hitter swings and misses at his “stuff”. I can’t believe the rotation Stearns put out there. Can we get Bill Travers and Jim Slaton to come out of retirement to help us? Maybe Auggie still has his brick-a-ball working? This gets a like from me even though we don’t have one.
