  1. I do want to point out the Red Sox are calling up Benintendi from AA as well.
  2. Well they just traded 2 very good pitchers and a great catcher. You can't just leave your young pitchers helpless out there and what better way to give them confidence then with a potential gold glove SS?
  3. Pitching, hitting, and defense. The Brewers simply didn't draft or develop much of anything. Sucks to trade Luc, but it's better to trade a year too early than a year too late.
  4. So 3 of our top 6 are the new guys. Very good work. Though I have no idea how Corey Ray is our third best.
  5. This feels like the Rangers asked for JJ at the end and we didn't have enough time to go back and forth. So yes it appears this would be a good prospect.
  6. Someone above Stearns.....That makes sense. Go for the big guns, stop with the cute diamond in the rough types. We now have 3 guys who are top 65 guys in one afternoon. Give the Brewers FO a team attaboy.
  7. It's a good trade assuming the PTBNL is a decent prospect. It's hard to fault getting two top 65 guys plus. JJ is a hard guy to grade. A year ago we couldn't have gotten a Nolan Ryan autographed photo for him from Texas. Now he is on the fence of being an elite closer but he doesn't have those advanced stats you look for. The Smith trade was amazing though.
  8. Looks like a Gallo deal makes more sense since they picked up Beltran. One for one w Luc wouldn't be great. If they want us to include JJ, they had better empty the farm after seeing the Smith heist.
  9. Wow. Serious prospect for a guy on his last legs.
  10. Now trade the entire bullpen. This is a fleecing of the first order.
  11. He should just set a HIGH price (and no middle infielders for crying out loud) on Luc and focus on JJ and Thorny. After seeing what a hurting Smith brought back, we should be emptying our bullpen in the next 1:21.
  12. I couldnt care less about Susac but Bickford!!!! Wow. Now move JJ and Thornburg in this nutty market.
  13. We will. The reliever market is too nuts for us to not take advantage. Id suspect we move Luc too. Gomez 2.0
  14. Im reading they wanted to get rid of him, and posted one link in this thread. I think they are leaking this Gammons as a PR move.
  15. I would want Rosario as Stearns seems hell bent on picking up middle infielders, we might as well get a good one. The Mets dont seem to want to give him up though. For me it's 1. Rosario 2. Herrera 3. Smith Scouts must know more than I do, but a short 1B (Smith) that hasn't hit for a ton of power yet is not something I am incredibly excited about. I'm not ecstatic about Herrera, but I think he's not getting credit that he should on here. He'll be a good player. I dont get the love for Smith either. He must be an incredible glove man because his power is non existent for a 1B. Herrera has put up good stats in AAA but thats Las Vegas. The Mets do seem to like him, but he played in the Majors in 2014 and 2015, yet not yet in 2016????

  17. Just saw this and I couldn't help but think of you and what you just said. @BrewCrewBlue If you think the only names we've heard for the Lucroy trades are the only ones involved, you don't know how trades work. Fine, none of us are on the phone with the FO, but Stearns is trolling us if get a broken catcher and another meh middle infielder for the 2nd best catcher in the game.
  18. Why???? I don't know...scouts must like him? Luc for TdA and Herrara????? Good Lord!
  19. If I'm Cleveland, I do what I can to make Luc happy. Gomes is apparently a good handler of pitchers but his hitting is self explanatory. I don't pin the NTC fail on Stearns. I put it on the Indians for not making Luc feel welcome that he was the man who was going to catch and be a fixture there for years to come. For what its worth, they don't view Mejia as their catcher of the future either, so Luc makes a ton of sense to them. http://www.scout.com/mlb/rumors/story/1690940-breakdown-of-potential-lucroy-to-indians "The big name was Francisco Mejia. He is most known this year for his 42-game hit streak. A little over two weeks ago I tweeted that Mejia would be the player the Indians look to move at the deadline. This would seem odd for a team with little-to-no catching depth, but also says a lot to the issues that surrounded Mejia. He is a very talented player with all the skills to be a potential all-star catcher, but with an attitude that was off putting to many. I have heard many off the record stories that made it clear Mejia was a large pain for everyone. I think he might have worn out his welcome in Cleveland. "
