  1. Or Counsell wanted to get crappy Yardley an inning in pitcher friendly Petco. Boxberger and Rasmussen also needed work. If Houser is crummey today I'll bet Lindblom mops it up so they dont blow the pen going into Chicago.
  2. Yelich was not good last year. Now more injury issues. Not good at all. The Brewers are paying Yelich to be their franchise player. If he's not, this team is going to be in trouble for years.
  3. Listen, young man. Let me tell you about Pete Vuckovich and Rollie Fingers. Yep. Early 80's. I was about negative 6 years old.
  4. Hope Burnes keeps this up. Who was the last Brewers to win a Cy Young? Has a Brewer ever won the Cy Young?
  5. What a joke. Makes me sad the crew blew last nights game. The Chubs stink.
  6. Yeah he gave that 3-1 pitch a nice ride but that's a scenario where he needs to be hitting a Vogelbomb to stay on the team. It feels like the 1B position is under the curse of Prince Fielder. Vogelbach either needs to be hitting around .300 or needs to be hitting around .250 with power. If not, his value as a DH in the NL is extremely limited.
  7. Vogelbach now hitting .118. If he's not going to hit, gotta figure he is shipped out of town pretty quick.
  8. Shaw is hitting out of his mind. I posted before the season I thought he would be a big failure. I hope he keeps this up and I am very wrong.
  9. This is really fascinating. I believe was sent to the Brewers R&D pitching "lab" in Phoenix to work on all of this after the disastrous 2019 season. Would love to hear more about what the Brewers are doing there. If the Brewers can fix Burnes I would hope they may be able to fix some other hard throwers. Maybe that confidence had something to do with the return in the Arcia trade.
  10. Right on. Yardley stinks and has a very low ceiling. At least Perdomo has electric stuff. It Perdomo sucks, then Hardy and Milner are next in line.
  11. The chubs are going to be big-time sellers this deadline. Time for that mess to be torn down.
  12. Two more whiffs for Hiura today. Dude really needs to go to the ATS to figure it out. What is most concerning is that pitchers are just blowing fastballs by him. Gotta think a complete swing change may be in order. W00f.
  13. Weigel was drafted by the Brewers in the 22nd round of the 2014 draft.
  14. +1. I thought for sure Arcia was going to be a non-tender. If they can get two low level flyers that is a win in my book.
  15. That would probably be the highest ceiling return.
  16. Exactly. Very weird timing. This seems like the kind of deal that would have happened in the offseason. Only thought is that Robertson and Urias looked good enough in ST to move on now.
  17. Gotta think that is the case. Either that or they wanted to see Urias this spring. When Urias was decent they started looking to trade Arcia but couldn't get it done before ST was over.
  18. Very surprised to see them give up on Arcia this early. Also surprised to see this trade happen the first week of the season. Could of, and maybe should of, happened this offseason. I'm hoping they got more than a bag of balls.
  19. If Yelich doesn't snap out of his funk and we are seeing the new Yelich, the Brewers are in major trouble this season. Heck, if this is the new Yelich the franchise in trouble for the next 7-8 seasons. That said, lets talk June 1.
