Freddy Peralta is now gone. Willy Adames also now two years removed. I think those were both big clubhouse guys, so that has affected things a bit. Also doesnt help that the Cubs have gotten hot at the wrong time and the Brewers have been injured/struggled a bit at the wrong time. If the team is stacking wins it is much easier to look like a tight knit family.

Really funny timing on your post. Earlier today I was thinking the same thing on Drohan. He was really good in that role. No idea why the Brewers removed from that role this season.

Definitely not. Contreras never accepted a day off the first 5 years of his career. Now really wearing down with injuries.

No. They were after Colton Gordon and had to take McCullers and $2 million of his salary to get Gordon. That said, good on the Brewers for cutting bait quick if they didn't think they could fix him.

The market is an extreme sellers market this year. Im hoping the Brewers avoid any big splash bidding war this year, just as they have the past few years. Maybe one or two minor moves around the edges like what they have done so far. No reason to to give up 2030-2035 for a little shot at beating the Dodgers in 2026.

Yelich DFA incoming before the end of the year? I'd rather have Bauers DH and Vaughn at 1b.

I live in AZ and work with a bunch of Dbacks fans. Pfaadt was a really big part of their World Series run a few years ago. So he has a place in Dbacks lore. The fans and organization hold him in higher regard than they should. The closest player I can think of that is comparable for the Brewers is Tobias Myers and the big year he had in 2024. But imagine if Tobias took the crew to the WS last year?

Yep. I think the pitching stuff will work ittself out. Never can have too much pitching. Put Freddy on a brief IL stint with "dead arm" and put in Cortes for a couple of starts, then go from there. And that is not even getting into the Brewers possibly losing Peralta, Cortes, Quintana, and Woodruff this winter.

You are very likely correct if the Arb 1 number is really $1.5 million or so.

Mitchell is arbitration eligible this offseason. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2025/06/brewers-garrett-mitchell-shoulder-surgery.html I personally think he is a prime non-tender candidate either this offseason, or if not, next offseason. Not sure the Brewers want to pay him $3-$4 million with all of the injuries when they have Chourio, Yelich, Frelick, Perkins, Collins. Just kind of goes against the way they have done business recently. Woodruff being the one exception.

Yep. With the current pitching glut, I would say there is a very high change they DFA/Offer him back to St. Louis in the offseason. I cannot see them trying to rehab him and get him a roster spot next year.

Not sure. However, the Brewers have been one of the most innovative teams. So, it wouldnt blow my mind.
