  1. And then we watch the kickoff unit let them start on the 39…
  2. Lazard has been really nice in recent weeks too, making tougher catches. Rodgers threw him a perfect dart…but still a crowded spot for Lazard to bring it in and keep it. The offense is fine if receivers can make some of those tougher catches and be where they need to be. Maybe not an insane passing game…but still good enough to beat good teams.
  3. Quick TD would definitely make this game plausible quickly.
  4. MLF just a different crappy version of the guy we replaced.
  5. I wasn’t referring to the Big Ten not being a strong conference. Just that they aren’t going into the year with some team likely to maybe lose 2-3 games…where then yah, the Badgers have zero shot at the title. However, this year, I don’t even know if there is a Top 10 basketball team in the league. Maybe not even a true (not looking at rankings) Top 15 team. That really waters down the league and everyone is much closer matched. Considering historically (I think) the Badgers have played amazing at home, they are in the mix…in my opinion. They won’t see any of the big threats in the conference until almost the second week of January. That gives them time to really round out before those big conference tests.
  6. Hill was released because he was a locker room cancer according to MLF.
  7. I don't find Singleton being protected that shocking. He is pretty experienced, so some team nabbing him is at least plausible. With the universal DH there are a lot of 1B/DH/bench spots open these days. If they think he might be of use next year...why not protect him for the time being? Do we get bonus points for leaving the roster spot empty and not protecting him...not really. Not much to lose.

  9. This is what I figured might be the best route if they are identical TVs. I could just buy a fire stick for one and then all is good in the world.
  10. Rodger's doghouse? How about the team's doghouse in general. He sucked, so I don't think Rodgers, MLF, or anyone else was really a fan of him. Heck, this year you could suck and still see plenty of playing time. Considering we have been running such a short game offensively it should have also opened up his opportunities in the slot. It did not though, because he sucked and was almost never open.
  11. I don’t really care that they hired Saturday. If I was a Colts fan I’d be a little concerned my owner is trying to run a clown show…but as far as ethical and right…doesn’t matter to me. I wouldn’t go comparing this to an MLB or NFL coach. MLB is pretty straight forward and the NBA there are 5-7 players and it is pretty much autopilot to coach. Football has way more moving parts, way more injuries, and 50+ players at any given time. Yah, lot of coaches under them…but that’s just another thing to keep tabs on. Colts can do what they want. It’s a pretty strange hire and definitely far from normal…but not like it is Antonio Brown. Saturday always seemed like a good dude.
  12. He really hasn't had any professional coaching experience. To have zero coaching experience and then be named the HC is pretty unusual.
  13. Realistically they need to figure out if they can extend Burnes (they can’t), then they need to figure out if they can extend Woodruff (maybe…if they want to), or Adames (just no). If they can’t sign either pitcher and opt to trade one, all three of these players should get shipped out if a team offers a good deal. Trading one and thinking you are going to actually compete for a World Series in 2023 is just comical if you are being realistic. Many are depressed about 2023 even IF we keep them all…let alone trading one. So if that is the case, why risk any chance of regression or injury next year? To me, it is exactly how this question is asked. Keep all…or keep none. Obviously it depends on the offers, but it’s all or bust in my mind.
  14. Finishing my basement bar this winter and plan on buying a few TVs during Black Friday. If I get two identical TVs, are they going to have a mini stroke when I use the remote for one? They will be right next to each other. Trying to figure out if I am better off buying two TVs of different brands to avoid issues. I suppose worst case i could use one through a fire stick and the other through the standard remote to avoid interference.
  15. I don't think his usage is that far off his career norms. He has never really been a guy to carry it 20+ times a game. With the amount of targets he gets in the passing game and the amount of times he is used as a decoy he isn't exactly destined to carry it a ton in general. Of course, he is made of glass and limiting the number of times he runs up the middle is probably wise. If Elliot is a better runner, why not send him up the middle to get crushed? No different than the Packers drafting Dillon to lessen the blows Jones takes. They are probably using him how they should...now whether that is worth what they gave up? Well, I guess that is a bit debatable.
  16. Eli Mitchell also averaged 4.9 yards a carry to McCaffrey’s 2.7. And it isn’t like that is skewed by a big run. His long was 12. Mitchell is arguably a better pure RB.
  17. Amari Rodgers is a total bust....but he was a 3rd rounder. Plenty of guys at the position flop even higher in the draft than that.
  18. Why? At least he is putting everything on the line for the team. sounds like a leader.
  19. They need to clean house, they prove it every week.
  20. Amari Rodgers and whoever is responsible for him still touching the ball should be fired tomorrow. This isn’t questionable, it is pure stupidity.
  21. Graham Mertz to throw 30+ passes today. Pretty sure they are pushing like 0-10 when he does that.
  22. Doesn’t really take much to compete for a Big Ten title many years. No one really dominates year to year. Pretty rare there is a 2 loss team. The last two titles the Badgers had were 5 and 6 loss teams. I mean to open the year the Big Ten has Indiana at #13 and Illini/Mich barely in the Top 25. Seems destined for another multi winner title of 5+ losses.
  23. Would have been interesting had it been a UW-Marquette game. Double the fan bases to fill up seats. I think the court setup is logical for a pretty filled up game. The seat map for tickets is pretty empty. Not sold out, but pretty sporadic. The way the court is placed gives really solid views well into the OF corners on both sides. Not sure how the view on the field level is though in the first few rows…and it appears they sold tickets all the way to Row 1. Not sure if this is the end goal for this type of set up or if they are trying to say “Hey, you could come and host a regional final game in a baseball stadium and sell more seats.” You could obviously make a way more grand temporary seating in the outfield. I have seen some mention Final Four, but I don’t think you can make a baseball stadium hold 80k. Would there be enough demand to increase the 20k or so fans they can fit in the Elite 8 currently?
  24. Yah, those numbers don't make a ton of sense for any argument. Using the 2022 stats of Baez/Story is completely useless. They got their $160mil before the season...so even if you are arguing Adames would get $140mil or potentially more as a FA in two years...what those guys did in 2022 means nothing to that argument. It also gets fuzzy using 2020 stats at all because I think most teams gave people a pass regardless of what they did. One could point of Story and his Coors stats or his splits...but history has shown over and over again teams don't really care. Some team always treats them like they played in any other ballpark.
  25. No, because I don’t think Adames is near either offensively or defensively. Your use of WRc is being really generous for Adames. His peak was in 2020, not even an actual half seasons worth of PAs. You are also using his 2018, which while a bit more games, still nowhere near a full season. Adames has just now put together two full seasons of baseball in a row, both of which are quite different results…great years, but offensively and defensively they were pretty different one way or the other. Story had three full years and Baez had four. Both averaged about 6.5 WAR in their 25/26 seasons….Adames with about 4 WAR. Wily Adames would command a pretty penny for an extension, but I think he has a HUGE amount more risk than Baez or Story would have perceived to have at the same venture. Those guys looked to be sure bets to be yearly big producers…I don’t think Adames has done that yet. Unless he would take a 4 year deal you would essentially have to give him 8 years. Not saying I would do it, but I am guessing 8/$120mil would be a realistic middle ground offer. Not sure what his FA class is looking like though…which could dramatically effect what he could hope of getting.
