  1. If we lose to Zappe… Only way we lose is if it is a low scoring game and our offense puts up zeros for entire quarters. Whew, that won’t happen.
  2. Doubt he gets fired, but PC has got to be getting questionable even to the more faithful backers. People will point out 2019s Rose Bowl season, but that is literally the only time in the last half decade they were ranked at the end of the season. His first 3 years as coach feature 75% of his teams that ended the year ranked. Is that success largely due to the players other coaches brought in? Is he really not that great of a coach once the team becomes 100% his guys and the recruiting knows it? It might be too soon to know…but this has got to be concerning to people.
  3. DK Metcalf got carted off the field today. Not for an injury, apparently just needed to go poop.
  4. Stearns cut down the apple tree back in July.
  5. Yah, at least let Stearn’s trash bullpen lose in different ways to keep it fresh.
  6. Bears just choked away any chance to win fumbling a punt. Lol
  7. People don’t care and it is hard to blame them.
  8. Giants QB gets hurt and Tyrod Taylor comes in. The announcers then gush about how brilliant it is to have a back up QB that is super mobile and very different than Daniel Jones. Tyrod Taylor then gets absolutely destroyed running the ball and they have no healthy QB. Doesn’t seem so brilliant anymore, does it?
  9. Honestly, won’t be sad if we don’t make the postseason. Maybe Stearns can start taking some heat for the utter and pretty predictable failure of the bullpen he spent the deadline making sure to make as crappy as possible. Was he trying to miss the postseason, honestly seemed like it. The results make it seem that way.
  10. I’m sure he will. Guessing Tuesday is a full blown bullpen day with Ashby/Peralta/etc and they probably figure Woodruff/Burnes will need to put the team on their back the other days to win the WC anyway.
  11. I am not insulting it by any means. But to say teams are trying to win a World Series is somewhat generous in a lot of cases. They want to, but I don’t know if it really is priority one or even two. If it was Hader would still be here and Burnes/Woodruff etc. would stay and we would sell off most of the blue chip prospects. Profits are important and I think being a borderline contender is the best things as long as you make the playoffs many of those years. Casual fan likes that. I don’t think they will see much of a rebuild if they do it strategically. But it is hard to predict how these prospects will do and how much we try to win in 23 or (likely not) 24.
  12. Winning the west division? Lol…they don’t even deserve that muttered as they chill in last place. They have a real shot at not even being bowl eligible. A program can go south in the blink of an eye in football. Badger fans better hope that isn’t what they are witnessing.
  13. Maybe to fans…to the owners, I mean…kinda debatable. I don’t think being consistently competitive has everything to do with winning a World Series. Being a fringe WC team is probably more valuable to the Brewers even if it means no WS appearance ever. World Series are great, but high payrolls, expensive contracts usually go with that..,and World Series hangover excitement/interest dies fast…especially if you tank into a crap team.
  14. Don’t worry, I’m sure Peralta will pitch today too.
  15. Why do people project their own views/values on college athletes and try to convince the player/other fans on what they should do with their lives? I’ve always found it a bit weird sometimes. People will internally tweet the player and then argue in the comments about it. Maybe Wahl doesn’t even like playing basketball at this point? Maybe living the dream would actually be transferring to a school that has seen the Sweet 16 in the last half decade? I mean, I’ve talked to my fair share of athletes that went somewhere on a D1 scholarship. Many of them were happy when it was over and it felt like their sport of enjoyment became more like a job. One girl took a scholarship at NDSU and then realized she hated the school and only went there because they gave her a D1 offer…so after a year she just quit and transferred to the local UW school and wasn’t an athlete. If he wants to play and be at school he will.
  16. As you can see from the above graphic, Ashby absolutely mowed down the Marlins the last time he faced them. Burnes going deep last night will certainly help the Brewers as Ashby probably can’t go a full starters workload regardless of how well he does.
  17. Use some kind of insulation in there and then get some of that insulation plastic to put over it. Might be a bit of a B word to get to get up…but should work.
  18. Oh great, back to calling games must-wins. I remember the other day when we lost a must-win game and then like two days later we were tied for the WC at one point.

Sammy’s is the best in my opinion.
  20. I know Peralta isn’t a regular bullpen arm, but this has been such a theme this year…and even worse the last month. I don’t care what the offense scored. The bullpen has been handed many leads…many multi run leads and they blow way too many of them. This isn’t on Counsell. It’s on the guy that took an iffy bullpen and made it worse at the deadline after trading the top bullpen arm in baseball. It’s flat out unacceptable. David Stearns traded Hader and filled the bullpen with literal garbage. Don’t forget he traded for a dude WHO NEVER EVEN THREW A PITCH. It was honestly pathetic and it’s hard to imagine how Stearns could have done any worse.
  21. Did a Game 162 happen after the regular season really recent? Or did that game just not end up mattering...thus it was canceled completely. I don't think such a game is of any benefit to the Brewers, so hopefully it doesn't happen.
  22. I imagine they can get all the games in...though tomorrow seems worse for two games to be played versus Saturday. But I figure they know that and want as many opportunities to get that doubleheader in as possible. I doubt it rains enough to not squeeze in all the games.
