  1. Tony Evers said the other day there is no reason (looking at the current situation) that there will be any reason to extend the lockdown. So it sounds like he expects it to just expire barring outbreak explosions all over the state.
  2. To be fair he has probably made over $200mil in his life during and after his career. The fact his has to pay in installment loans for $600k of it means he probably isn’t swimming around in millions.
  3. Yup, I traveled through Wisconsin to the Chicago area last weekend...no pullovers and really no cops in general. Did the same drive yesterday and there were countless pullovers and speed traps. Last weekend traffic was flowing at 85-95mph on I-90 just south of Madison, absolutely insane. The slowest person was doing high-70s. Someone from Minneapolis told me traffic was down 50% at one point, but accidents were up 30%.
  4. Do you have a link? I didn't have any luck with my quick googling. https://www.newsday.com/news/health/coronavirus/coronavirus-long-island-new-york-covid19-1.44418223 That article states it was 1,300 hospitalizations surveyed. Which we know is greatly dominated by elders who don’t work etc...so obviously that study will show a disproportionate amount being people staying at home and of course old too. Which staying at home is somewhat misleading as I would guess most are going to the grocery store and other possible “essential” activities. They should survey ALL positive cases to get more relevant data...only surveying hospitalizations leaves a lot of holes in the study. Of course maybe I missed something in the article...but that’s what I got out of it.
  5. I never claimed they were testing 14k people. That being said there was about 1,400 more tests today compared to yesterdays record amount. The most notable part about that is we actually had less positive tests despite that huge increase in testing, 314 down from 335. The positive rate was 5.7%. Also, when do they decide to shoot down the safer at home order or not? May 25th?
  6. If he isn’t following the financials on a regular basis and has a lot of money going in/out it isn’t hard to believe he never really noticed getting a free million. I doubt he makes the deal to do the speeches and I really doubt he watches the accounts. Former athletes making $1mil to speak twice have people to do that for them.
  7. Sort of feel like we're in a no-man's land where most of the easy to open stuff is open and the closures are mostly things with large complications. Miller Park, crowded bars, etc. I have my own opinions on stuff, but at least if bars/restaurants can open in some capacity there would be some travel demand, maybe. I hope. This has already been brought up here but it is funny to me that you can't sit down at a diner but Home Depot is OK. Has anyone been a HD on the weekend during this? Mine was an absolute zoo last weekend. I'd never seen it so crowded. Those large hardware stores are nightmares...but what else are people going to do? Might as well do fixes around the house. Apparently the greenhouses/plant shops are zoos too.
  8. Nah, there's always a day that has broken the trend. We're at 3 days in a row now, so it's going to be a while. That will depend, of course, on the WI Supreme Court ruling. That’s not what is required, a trend is required for 14 days. We don’t need 14 days of continuous decline. I’m not sure exactly how they calculate their trend, but you can definitely have outlier spike days and still trend down.
  9. Wisconsin showed a spike in testing ability up to 14,800 today, so I guess that is nice. The overall percent of positive cases has been declining pretty steadily this month...but now that meat plants are forced back open that probably won’t last long. Maybe it lasts long enough for us to get some added freedoms.
  10. The article states use of logos etc. is not going to be allowed. It does allow them to reference the school and team apparently.
  11. Speaking of Jonathan Taylor, Marlon Mack of the Colts rushed for more yards than Aaron Jones did last year, and it didn't stop the Colts from taking Taylor 21 spot ahead of where the Packers picked Dillon. They already had a starter at RB. Marlon Mack is also a FA after next year much like Jones (I believe). Not like either team has some stud lined up for the next 3+ years. Guessing both teams don’t eye their current RB as a long term solutions, probably because of money.
  12. OK. Visit any of their social media pages to realize how incorrect you are. Is it overreacting if those are the standard reactions to anything on those sites (Twitter/Facebook)?
  13. It you are overreacting about people overreacting more than they are overreacting.
  14. In Wisconsin anyone with symptoms can officially get a test. You don’t need to be on your death bed to qualify. I also noticed they are starting to do random location testing sites where symptomatic OR at risk individuals (with no symptoms) can get a test without a doctors approval. Hoping that means testing supply availability is increasing quite a bit too. Positive rate and hospitalization rate (which were already trending downward) should really start going down now.
  15. This entire thing was formulated weeks ago. It already doesn't make sense because there is no possible way to only credit towards 2020. The available seats, not to mention seat value (as people with field level would be forced to get worse less valuable tickets) wouldn't even be feasible in a condensed home schedule. Of course other teams have already realized this and offered 2021 as a credit option. Some teams have even realized there is no point to hold money for May games and are refunding them automatically too. Of course it will change...it doesn't make sense and it is terrible.
  16. Considering most teams (all so far I have seen...though I doubt the Brewers end up the only credit only policy) have offered refunds...most if not all automatically. So, yah, I believe it is perfectly reasonable to expect a refund if one wanted it since fans of other teams are getting one. Brewers are being greedy, these aren't rainouts, and they shouldn't be treated as such. Other teams are looking at it logically...many are already issuing refunds for May. The Brewers are okay screwing their fans for every last dollar they can during a worldwide pandemic. If every other team was following the same plan, fine...but that is not the case. I am not sure what their goal is, but I don't think it is worth ticking people off. Before they weren't refunding because MLB wouldn't let them...now they are hoarding everyone's money under their own power. They could refund, quite easily, as others teams are showing.
  17. Maybe people just want their money back for a product they can't even utilize? Not everyone needs $300 or whatever right now...doesn't mean the team should just hold it hostage. I could at least use that money for something else right now if I wanted and buy tickets again when people are allowed in the stadium. Every other team I have seen announcing a plan offers refunds...most even automatic. The Brewers? Giving everyone a credit...sad and borderline pathetic. For the record I have season tickets and will let it just rollover into next years invoice...I really don't care about the money or need it. However, people should be getting a refund on games that have passed and not happened if that is what they want. When the entire season is likely canceled (as far as fans in the stands) are they really going to refuse refunds and simply credit to 2021? Hopefully they at least give 10% credit for hoarding everyone's money for over a year...Brewers deserve everything coming their way from angry fans.
  18. Only for season seat holders...single game holders can credit it forward or request a refund. The Cardinals are giving SSHs nothing. It is automatically credited to their account unless they request a refund.
  19. Sure, sounds good in theory...but you assume they keep it in a reserve if they couldn't buy back stock. Reality is they wouldn't. Reserve or not you still would have to give aid to them. Even a company rolling around in cash isn't going to keep expenses they don't have to during a shutdown like this. They are going to cut costs and furlough workers unless you give them attractive aid to basically force them to keep paying the employees. Our society is built on debt because it is good for the economy. Money being saved and stashed away doesn't do much for the economy. The world changed greatly when there was the ability for people to lend their money to others easily (indirectly through banking generally). That is on a macro scale though.
  20. Can someone explain to me why average citizens living paycheck to paycheck are realistically expected to save 3-6 months of living expenses, but companies are bleeding after one month of reduced profits? Why can't they apply the same principles of saving 3-6 months of expenses in the event of a global economic catastrophe? Not sure it really is any different. The problem is they are the backbone of the entire economy...them going under has an enormous domino effect. For instance if you lost your job you would cut expenses, would you not? You would do that whether you had a rainy day fund or not. Well, a great way for the airlines to cut expenses is furloughing everyone without pay. This goes for pretty much any company that can't do business. Government is essentially giving them an incentive to keep paying their workers even if they can't actually come to work.
  21. I don't see 2018 as that different as far as receiving talent. It was Adams, Graham, and the inconsistent MVS. They still had Cobb, who wasn't bad, but he was injured most of the year. Maybe you don't blame the front office for that...but it was far from a great group of guys. You would have to go back to 2017 to find a good receiving core. Adams is great, but that certainly has it's problems when you go against a team with a good corner to cover him and we have no reliable second option...probably not even close to a second good option. To me the problem is the fact Cobb and Nelson were both aging, declining, and/or becoming free agents. Yet the franchise ignored the position about as much as humanly possible. Nelson got old and they let him go...rightfully so. However, why would you watch both Cobb and Cook walk to do absolutely nothing to replace them? To me it is baffling they have not made a single relevant addition at the position since Davante Adams. If they were getting lucky and striking gold with FA/late draft that would be great...instead they have done a poor job developing WRs. I don't have a problem becoming more run centric or not pouring resources to have the insane receiving corps Rodgers had early on...but I don't think neglecting the area for a half decade is really a recipe for success.
  22. Now that a lawsuit is floating around MLB has reversed their policy now allowing teams the ability to refund games that have been postponed due to coronavirus. We will see what teams opt to do, but multiple teams plan to release their plan tomorrow.
  23. The Packers have seriously neglected giving Rodgers receiving talent for years, doesn't seem to be very debatable. For the most part the only impactful thing they have given him in recent years is over the hill TEs in Cook/Graham. They are fine options...but the 2nd WR has gotten to be pretty comical. Lazard ended up #2 last year after not seeing the field the first 5 weeks...I mean...come on. Rodgers has declined some, but the Packers certainly don't do him any favors in the passing game...and of course coaching neglected the running game before last year.
  24. State is just trying to not get sued and have their orders taken to court. Due to such unchartered territory and limited time to act these orders have a ton of holes and are pretty questionable. As time goes on these businesses/industries aren't going to sit around watching their lives get destroyed...especially in areas where coronavirus is almost non existent.
  25. They need to modernize in person teaching...not do online schooling.
