  1. 7 teams already put a logo within a circle with the City/Name. If accurate that is incredibly unoriginal and absolutely stupid to not just leave the BiG by itself. However, if you look at the article take note of the Astros logo. Their primary logo is much like the Brewers one (circle and all), but their card mock up has the simplified ‘H + Star’ logo. So the card mock ups don’t really make sense.
  2. And we lost to the terrible Ohio State team of 2011 when we were a Rose Bowl team. Even when we should have won we found a way to lose. They beat them in 2010 by 13 points. I am well aware.

  4. Reminds me of Wrigley Field. One of those awesome historic pieces that looks great on the TV...but in reality going to a game there is borderline one of the worst possible experiences baseball can offer.
  5. Predatory birds want the brain, good nutrients for the winter.
  6. I guess I look at it and see many other teams on our side of the Big 10 play Ohio State close too...often. Purdue has beaten them three times since 2009. 6-7 7-6 5-7 Those are the teams Purdue had that beat Ohio State 3 out of their last 6 meetings with them. It seems very strange sub .500 teams that Purdue has can hang with Ohio State, but we can't
  7. I mean your true underdog games are OSU, Penn State, and depending on the year Michigan. People will point out the games tend to be close, but I think that is a bit of an insult. They consistently lose every single freaking time. With Ohio State, sure, you can claim 99% of teams lose to them too. I also don't think it helps to not play them consistently. But Penn State is not much different. We are dominated even though Penn State is rarely elite when we face them. Their number of losses in a season they faced us in the last 7 match-ups: 4, 3, 5, 4, 2, 4. The time we beat them was the Paterno saga year where their interim guy went 1-3 to end the season (including us) and we were higher ranked at home. I get they are pretty good teams, but 2-16 since 2007...I think there is a lot more than just not being as talented, especially when we have proven to play close games. I just can't get behind shrugging off these games as them just being more talented. They should be winning some of those close games, instead they find themselves losing every time they step on the field.
  8. They are both to blame to some degree. End of the day PC is the head coach so by default he is responsible for pretty much everything. Rudolph on the other hand is the OC so I would imagine he is pretty darn responsible for play creation/scheme...which is also not very acceptable. Before worrying about the play calls they should probably evaluate the entire play book and offensive philosophy. Because I think the foundation of the offense is a bit broke these days.
  9. Those were....upsets? We were ranked higher than both USC and Miami at the time of those games. I would assume the spread was within 5 too even if it swayed the opponents way. LSU...debatable. Regardless those supposed upsets aren't even in the same universe as winning a game versus OSU. Those upsets were like winning $5 on a scratcher and cheering about winning the lottery. Technically maybe...but not much.
  10. He should have been fired within minutes of that Archer trade.
  11. I have seen some clever ways to advertise a business at big sporting events before, but last night...that was taking it to a level I never thought possible.
  12. Yup, this is about as accurate as it gets. Beating Ohio State (or even Penn State) is really quite meaningless to the Badgers. The Badgers and their fans should be blessed to be on the weak side of the Big 10 where there is no powerhouse to consistently make them look silly. The Badgers can pretty consistently make the Big 10 Championship game by default of just dominating the same usual good, but not great teams. They know every few years a 2017-type schedule will happen and an elite bowl game can be had. Can you imagine if we and Michigan State swapped spots? We would play Michigan, Ohio State, Penn State consistently and then have the likes of Iowa/Michigan State sprinkled in there some years too. I wonder if Wisconsin would have a different mindset if they started the year pretty much having 2 auto losses on the schedule and having zero shot to ever play in the Big Ten Championship game. Like you say, hard to really blame them for it. It’s a pretty good situation to be in and to change that for the better I think would be pretty hard to do. Trying to find a offensive mind would probably be the most realistic path to maybe make us a bit more than we are. On another note: As far as offensive play calling and scheme...once again this year I thought it started out different and maybe PC finally was going to change. Unfortunately as the season dragged on it seemed to just fade away back to bland looking. I really hope the non existence of Taylor next year and the possible emergence of Mertz makes them do something different.
  13. MLB better move on and let go of traditions before more people stop watching the game. Being classic and boring should not be a requirement/expectation. No, I am not saying uniforms will make people stop watching the game. That being said it is like so many other things in baseball where you are expected to be a certain way cause it is always like that. Why be like every other team? Oh, that's right, cause being different would just be wrong. Which makes me think about how many want/think the navy uniforms as the main jersey. Isn't that kind of impossible as it isn't white. The only jerseys that aren't white are Mets/Giants, they have a cream-like white. Of course there is also the rumor of every day pinstripes which is pretty much impossible with a navy jersey anyway. Navy pinstripes on a white jersey? That seems like the more likely outcome here.
  14. Raccoon...and they will come back for more if you don't protect them.
  15. Packers don’t give him the ball enough in the running game. Statistically speaking he is way way down the the leaderboards outside of total TDs. McCaffery and Cook are both light years ahead of Jones. Aaron Jones actually has a real average to poor rushing yards per attempt. Now is that partially the offense line? Probably, but I think he isn’t even Top 20.
  16. Okay no offense to Jones, but I’d guess he would get a grand total of zero votes. It’s a QB award and Aaron Jones doesn’t really have that crazy of stats as is. His stats are fantastic, but for a RB to get consideration he better be on some ungodly level we rarely see. To be fair I haven’t really checked out the QB stats around the NFL, but it would have to be pretty weak to make Aaron Jones start getting votes. Todd Gurley was 2nd in MVP voting two years ago. Ezekiel Elliot and Le'Veon Bell were 4th and 5th respectively in 2016. I don't think he'll come close to winning but if he ends up leading the league in TDs I bet he gets some votes. Current pace: 932 rushing yards, 16 TD. 710 receiving yards, 6 TD. TOTAL: 1,642 all-purpose yards & 22 TD. Thanks, I didn’t know how far they gives votes out. Usually they just mention first place votes...not like the MLB where the lesser guys still get noticed in voting.

  18. Pat Murphy isn’t ever talked about, but I think he is a big part of the Brewers and as a side kick to Counsell. You can see Counsell heavily talks to Murphy on in game decisions and almost seems as though Murphy’s thoughts have a big barring on what Counsell does. Of course that is just by what is shown on TV, but I don’t think Murphy just fiddles his thumbs all game...he is apart of a lot more than a typical bench coach.
  19. The ref should take that flag and shove it somewhere the sun don’t shine. Stop trying to be the center of the attention.
  20. This is the run defense I am familiar with from Kansas City.
  21. Our special teams on kicks and punts could be the worst in football (not including our punter).
  22. The dude has one hand....
  23. This team is a joke, definitely not a Super Bowl contender. Sorry not sorry.
  24. Wow, first they throw on third and short (NO running back in the backfield)...play busts...and....TD.
  25. Indeed. When *baseball* is more tolerant of celebrations than you are, you've got a problem. Good on the NFL for lightening up. I must have missed when they gave up on penalizing players for going to the ground during a celebration or having a “team celebration”. God, that was a joke. All it did was cause a bunch of pointless kick returns the NFL didn’t want for safety reasons.
