  1. Our rotation is absolutely trash and people want to piggy back and use more than 5 guys. We can't even find 3 solid guys and here we are wanting to throw 6+ out there? Yah, can't see that going any better. Keep Davies, Gio, Woodrfuff, Chacin, and Anderson out there. That is the most logical honestly. There is your stability. If they do otherwise they are really confident in Peralta's future thus being okay with punting the season or they know the rest of the team isn't that great either and the Anderson's/Gio's of the world aren't going to get us far...just a marginally better record. The ceiling of some of those guys are limited. Maybe they will just pray on potential or accept they aren't a contender.
  2. Well...having an inning there Arcia. Error and then a pretty disappointing failure to not knock that down. Not saying he should have definitely knocked it down...but pretty disappointing that he couldn’t manage to stop it.
  3. I’m sure it was always likely Aguilar wasn’t a hot pile of garbage....but I don’t think he will even be that good after he rebounds. The guy will get on streaks like anyone...but first half Aguilar, gone. Real Aguilar is just an average at best first baseman. Probably stretching it considering his defense and average offense at first base isn’t really impressive.
  4. It is either Gio or Anderson. Either we signed Gio to be in this flip flop role or Anderson is getting booted. Chacin - Obviously no Davies - Also quite obvious Woodruff - Why replace a young shaky starter for another? Gio - Really doubt he got signed to be in this role Anderson - Cause results just don’t matter sometimes. I think removing Anderson would be just dumb, Gio I wouldn’t care, and Woodruff I’d complain they are picking the wrong young guy...but is what it is.
  5. Wow, I thought Braun’s biff catching a fly ball the other day would be the saddest defensive attempt I’d see a Brewers OFer make this year. That by Gamel will take the crown.
  6. Yah, that was...brutal. Seems fitting after watching Aguilar play baseball.
  7. Braun was trying to catch an Alonso hit ball near the wall and a fan dumped a beer on him while he was going for it. The liquid hit him in two separate splashes of beer, the first was smaller and the second soaked him. Braun pointed to it has he went for the ball he missed, and Alonso ended up with a “triple” that was then upheld after a review. Here is a photo.... Thanks, looks like an ejectionable offense to me since he is clearly reaching into the field of play and causing something to make contact with a player. Can’t umpires rule plays like that as an “out” if they feel like the player was going to make the play if not for the interference? He didn’t touch the ball...which is obviously auto interference. After that it seemed like a judgement call on whether it effected him catching it or getting the ball after missing. Which they decided no.
  8. Oh cool Arcia, nothing like bad base running when you actually find a way on base.
  9. While it looked like Braun was going to miss is, we never would know. There was some beer coming down before the ball got to Braun. Regardless, once the beer splashed all over Braun’s hat that should be a dead ball in my opinion. You never know how that could affect the play. I would think there could have been an effect if Braun was actually under the ball, it instead he was well right, reach over, and still missed the ball by a good margin. We should probably just play better baseball, including defense and pitching in this case, so we don’t have to hope for a beer shower bailout.
  10. Braun didn’t miss that ball because of the beer. It is a triple unless you are trying to claim a beer shower slowed Braun down from getting the ball and throwing it in. Maybe you want to claim the cup messed with his ability to see the ball...but looked like Braun just failed getting under the ball at the wall for his jump. Fan should be thrown out regardless though...bit ridiculous. Must be expensive seats they don’t want to boot him out of.
  11. Guessing they had them not blown up and did it with one of those little machines you get at the store when they found out. They were probably continuing their party/celebration afterwards...so it makes sense I guess.
  12. No, spend it on pitching...like we should have in the first place it seems. Also why would we extend a guy in April who for the last two winters has had to settle for one year deals? Wait till the offseason and see where we are at as an organization.
  13. All I am going to say is Stearns built a rotation that sucked so bad he signed a starter by the end of April off the scrap heap and the Brewers feel their bullpen struggles are even more concerning than the rotation. What an absolutely terrible pitching staff to start off a season after the near World Series appearance. Hope they can still turn it around.
  14. Why does anyone care about the 40 yard dash of a DL? Wouldn’t the cone drill be more legitimate? What is his explosive speed...that’s where he will make his difference. He ain’t running routes. Not saying Gary won’t be good etc....just don’t see any relevance in his 40 time.
  15. Skokie train for the win.
  16. I remember when we got him his defense was plus. Haha wow...
  17. Yah, and it wouldn’t be that hard to believe. Gallardo likely would have done it had we not traded him away. No one will do it without an extension, I don’t care how good they are. We will never be that good for 5 years straight for that to happen. Average 20 wins per year for 5 years? Who has even done that in recent memory? You would need an incredible offense, incredible pitcher, and incredible health.
  18. I’d call it a rough stretch, but they weren’t any good before despite the record. This team sucks...like easily sub .500 talent/results so far. Hope guys can turn it around...but man they have been weak in way too many ways. Starting rotation needs to step it up first and foremost and the offense...wow it needs something to give.
  19. A pitching coach is not the difference between greatness and pile of dinosaur dung.
  20. And Yelich gets in on the bad defense. You have to go for that catch. And it was catchable. Good chance he misses, but 4 runs or 5 runs. Won’t matter much at that point.
  21. That was an easy play and that was pretty pathetic on Braun...you gotta catch that man. Khris Davis would have had that.
