  1. Williams needs to be reliable when our best relievers aren’t available. Many times he has proven not to be the most trustworthy.
  2. As a PH...honestly...getting on base and getting runs in is pretty good. No power? I will suffer.
  3. When Arcia sucks so much with the bat they let Chacin hit and then take him out for Arcia to run.
  4. Procedural question...do they need to make it to the stadium in time to be eligible to substitute? Meaning, could they arrive in the 2nd inning and be inserted in the 8th, so long as they are on 25man by first pitch? No, you don’t need to be there at the start to play. It’s happened quite often before. You have to be added to the 25 man roster before the game though.
  5. Man that’s crazy and depressing. I read about how bad that rotation was the other day...oooof. Glad I’m too young to remember that.
  6. Is Aguilar the Brewers Silver Slugger? Yes, then you are right.
  7. David Stearns is looking for a TOR guy, may not come to fruition though. He will do his homework on possible deals. They definitely expected him to pitch this year. They probably wisely assumed he wouldn’t make a big impact, but I doubt they believed he just wouldn’t pitch. Throw him in the bullpen after he rehabs if he doesn’t look super 2017-like. Once September hits we are going to have an insanely deep pitching staff. Nelson and Burnes should both be here in some capacity.
  8. Yes you are correct in that the day varies slightly every year and the amount of games a team plays. 1979 I believe they played two less games. Regardless the All Star Break is a huge milestone on the season regardless.
  9. He could care less...so there is wiggle room here.
  10. Anyone can look great for 4 starts...especially as a rookie. The league doesn’t know them and have little to go off of. I remember when Mike Fiers was mowing down batters like no other, Junior Guerra...the list goes on.
  11. The AL is an absolute snooze fest. The Red Sox and Yankees might be the biggest race there will be. The other two divisions aren’t much of races at all and the Mariners lead the A’s for the second wild card by SEVEN games. Really any team not holding a spot in the playoffs right now is near .500 or worse except the A’s (44-38)
  12. No, I don’t think they do anything with Villar. I think they would easily opt to dump Sogard. No one is picking up Eric Sogard, he would find his way back to AAA...someone probably takes a chance on Villar. As we know Stearns likes keeping depth. Also that would leave no infielder on the bench that can hit right handed outside of Perez. They like to start Perez when they face lefties to give Travis Shaw rest. If you dump Villar that leaves you with Miller being forced to hit against lefties. Seems unlikely.
  13. That is halarious. Everyone else loves him. I have no opinion though...I hate the pre and post game. Too low of a baseball IQ for me.
  14. Davies had a lower back issue tonight and won’t be rejoining Brewers.
  15. Suck at math? Today is your day! Half way point so you can calculate our record pace by just doubling our current record!!!
  16. The Milwaukee Brewers just notched their 48th win on the season leaving them just 6 short of the current record for wins before the AS Break. 1979 Brewers, 54 2014 Brewers, 53 2008 Brewers, 52 2017 Brewers, 50 2007 Brewers, 49 2011 Brewers, 49 2018 Brewers, 48 1978 Brewers, 48 1982 Brewers, 48 17 games remain so reaching and beating the record is almost a given at this point. They need to go at least 7-10 to break the record. They are also chasing the best winning percentage ever before the break which I believe was 1979 at .5870. To beat that record they would need to go 10-7 for a 58-40 record. Obviously the end of the season is what matters, but really puts into perspective the great season they are putting together so far.
  17. That was terrible base running by both of our runners. If Barnhart was smart there was a good chance they get two outs. Arcia was going to third when he probably shouldn’t have and Broxton was a dead duck at 3rd if Barnhart threw the ball. Maybe an intentional pickle? But not sure there.
  18. Arcia suck so much we had him bunting and he still can’t do anything right. What a sad example for a batter.
  19. Don’t think he is getting his rotation spot back.
