  1. Honestly I know it doesn't make sense on the surface, but I would have almost batted Eric Thames anyway. Rosario isn't throwing strikes and Thames has a good eye. Thames also has that just got back magic one can dream on.
  2. We suck vs. the Cubs but have two walk-offs in recent memories...so maybe this situation is a good one?
  3. It wasn’t a bad throw, but short hoping it when the middle infielder is going to go for a quick tag on the other side of the bag is definitely far from preferred.
  4. Must be a tough life when your dad doesn’t teach you how to wear your hat right.
  5. Missed tag on a player trying to advance to 2nd on a flyout. Didn’t know how quick he had to be...and was too quick. Everyone is freaking out because he had so much time...but not like Villar knew that. If it would have been closer and he bobbled it no one bats an eye...just my opinion.
  6. I think Fielder hit the facing of the group seating that is just to the left of the foul pole once.
  7. Middle infielders do that countless times a day across the league. Villar has been pretty darn mistake free all year. So no, he isn’t really that guy this year. However because of 2016 he will always be assumed as that guy whether he makes those mistakes once a day or once a year.
  8. While Villar should have had him Hader is not pitching well at all this inning.
  9. Good thing we signed a shortstop then. *Keith storms into IGT*
  10. I know people have really bagged on Hernan Perez this year, but I think he is a very valuable piece of this team. He is absolutely amazing vs. LHP. Shaw gets an off day and we get someone who has faired well against LHP to boot. In my opinion no way they would ever consider dumping him over Sogard...no way.
  11. They are still calling that Braun catch a would-be homer...
  12. Wow...Aguilar had a meatball of a pitch...wow. Whiffed hard.
  13. Hard for Arcia to learn in AAA when we felt forced to almost instantly promote him because of an injury days later. I groaned the second the injury happened because it isn’t what we or Arcia needed. On another note I can’t stand when the announcers insist a homerun was robbed when it clearly was not going to be a homerun.
  14. Yup...it won’t show up extra bad in the stat book, but that should count for two bad ABs in one. Swinging 3-0 is pretty dumb if you are a good hitter...for a bad hitter...come on dude. That’s the kind of mental error that should bench you. Do managers not put the take sign out there anymore ? If Arcia isn't smart enough to know that clearing the pitching spot is valuable, then you need to take away decision-making of his In this age of time it is just a given you watch a 3-0 pitch. Honestly I just have to assume he didn’t know the count. Only explanation he swung.
  15. Yup...it won’t show up extra bad in the stat book, but that should count for two bad ABs in one. Swinging 3-0 is pretty dumb if you are a good hitter...for a bad hitter...come on dude. That’s the kind of mental error that should bench you.
  16. No reason he should not play at least 5 out of every 7 games we play at this point.
  17. Kratz...latest proof that there is literally no reason to be upset over a lateral type improvement. You either catch some lightning in a bottle or you are right where you started. Crazy to think people were to some extent complaining about it.
  18. I’d say Peralta has worse command issues than Hader ever had just watching him. Still you’d think he would find the Top 131. Corey Ray I’d wish hit for a little more average than he has shown. The power has really shown up this year and has a very patient approach. Definitely having a turnaround year.
  19. Cubs Brewers Cardinals Pirates Reds
  20. I will take Miller’s bad defense with his bat over Orlando Arcia. Right now our last three hitters have OPS of: .630 .518 .300 I don’t know how to quantify that, but to have three worthless hitters in a row has to exponentially make things way worse. In an entire game that’s 33% of our ABs...to worthless junk hitters. This isn’t just a small upgrade offensively...it is essentially +.350 OPS. That’s HUGE. That’s like going from Villar to Trout offensively... They don’t make sense as platoon partners either (not that you would limit Arcia’s ABs that much, you would just AAA him). Arcia sports a absolutely horrendous .323 OPS vs. LHP. It’s hard to even wrap your head around how much Arcia has struggled. Last 23 days: Arcia: .396 OPS Miller: .815 OPS Suter: .557 OPS (career)
