  1. Starter, reliever, custodian....his value is higher than Eric Thames.
  2. I think reality is going to hit this bullpen quite a bit this month.
  3. Or...Yelich throwing, that doesn’t help. His arm is just terrible. Definitely not a GG defender.
  4. Really wouldn’t shock me if he ends up in the pen in Aug/Sept
  5. Except their bullpen wasn’t overworked. The starter went 6 innings, someone went 5 innings, and the actual pen arms covered 3 innings. Sure they had to use Morrow...but he has 20 innings on the year. Not really that overworked. I know you are talking more in the grand scheme, but this game isn’t really a good example of that.
  6. Wonder what happens first: Villar gets his OPS to .750 or Arcia drops his OPS under .500
  7. Now can we get runs to save our better relievers a bit?
  8. Top 10 2B over the last month or so. Though the two main trade targets at 2B (Gennett/Merrifield) are #1/#2. Could still likely make a nice upgrade there, but Villar is starting to make the potential gain a lot smaller.
  9. They are raised. It’s something a few teams are doing these days. I believe the Dodgers started the mini trend.
  10. Villar with today’s MVP award. -Had a huge lead off single that should have manufactured a run. -HUGE defensive play to save a run and get an escape to the inning. -HR to double the lead.
  11. Now on third with no outs, definitely not scoring now.
  12. Avoid eating crow? No wonder so many executives don’t last long. There will be no personnel moves to make if you try to avoid eating crow.
  13. Some much for all that complaining about Kratz when we got him.
  14. Nice rip Villar....not so great turn at first. That would have been really frustrating...
  15. Mentioned this lastnight. He's been swinging wildly at bad pitches lately. What did I miss? Just following Gameday but says he walked in his first AB... Observation looking at numbers today (and watching him lately). Nothing directly correalated with his ABs today. On another note he has always wildly swung at bad pitches...a good reason a hard fall was inevitable. He is not a .300+ hitter. I guess it isn’t bad if he reverts to normalcy. Makes it easier to just platoon him with Thames upon his return. Which is probably the best course of action long term.
  16. If you look up you can see something falling back down to earth, Jesus Aguilar.
  17. Anyone who likes these uniforms must be at least 40+. Only way you can look at them and like them is if you have some bias appreciation from your childhood etc. Those stripes on the sleeves, belt area, and full powder blue is just awful. Amazing that was ever a good idea.
  18. The Brewers aren’t waiting to see if Davies will get better because they don’t even need him right now. If we needed a 5th starter likely he doesn’t even go on the DL. This was mostly a move to get someone on the roster we can use and avoid using a pitcher that has been terrible. Also the Brewers said he is going to rest (with some throwing), no rehab assignment.
  19. Kodi Medeiros threw a great game today. Corbin Burnes was throwing a no-hitter last I checked.
