  1. Has to do with supply and demand. May games are more sought after while April games are graveyards. Without looking amount of promotions, teams we play, and amount of weekend games will effect price too.
  2. Fact he is throwing 99mph is interesting to say the least since he was working at 91-94mph last year. Then he is old...weird. He was caught for PEDs once...just throwing it out there. Hopefully we get a story on the added velocity.
  3. I would take my chances with Puk at #5. The kid just has enormous potential. He could be a mechanical adjustment from being Chris Sale and even if you can't figure it out he is still probably a really good starter. Outside of him I am on the fence on some of the outfielders. Quite a few of them are HS prospects and that is taking a big gamble thinking they will turn into what you think they can. Trying to go below slot is always an option, but pretty hard to predict what that could look like at this point.
  4. Why would we have traded Axford before 2012? No way we were trading our closer when they went to compete in 2012...Hart similarly. Those guys are not comparable because they weren't obvious "we have to trade these guys" like Lucroy is. We are clearly rebuilding right now and Lucroy won't be around when we compete again. Can't say the same about those two.
  5. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
  6. Makes sense to put a cartoon logo on cartoon looking uniforms. Not insult to the logo...cartoon was the best word I could think of to call it.
  7. Might have to do with keeping Lopez down and the other thing could be to have someone not as important to go up and down all the time. Having Davies come up for an extended time is fine, but when you only need someone for 2 starts or so it doesn't really make sense to bring him up.
  8. I am having a hard time looking past how hideous all these jerseys are. Not sure this is any sign of a return of the ball and glove logo though(as in primary logo). Possible, but if this is how they are doing it I don't really understand their goal.
  9. Yah I don't see it. They are using their new alternate jersey...pretty typical. Better for sales if you ask me. And really in the grand scheme of things going back the the ball and glove logo might not be the best idea. They should be appealing to the younger generation not the older people. Not saying the younger generation doesn't like it, but something else would might be more widely liked.
  10. Yah this draft gets worse by the day. Honestly it is getting to the point I secretly hope our top pick doesn't sign for whateber reason and we can have the #6 pick next year. That or I want a low slot signing to pick up some player in rounds 2/3 for above slot.
  11. 2016 .381 BABIP 2015 .298 BABIP 2016 .481 ISO 2015 .079 ISO I will take the under please.
  12. You know I understand we have powerhouse programs(as a Kansas fan totally fine with that), but wow is it depressing when Kentucky/Duke get a ridiculous amount of the top recruits. Duke got the #1, #2, and the #11 recruits while Kentucky got the #4, #7, #8, #15, #27 recruits. Going into the season you can pretty much bet at least one of those teams is getting to the championship game, one probably wins it, and it wouldn't be shocking if both make the final four. It is a lot better when the recruiting class is more spread out like it was last year.
  13. We are not the Minnesota Twins.
  14. Because he isn't that "special". Teams don't hold back guys unless they think they are going to be great and are confident they can just mash right away. If he has a dominant first half I would have no problem sticking him in the rotation come June/July if there is the space. Obviously this is his first season at AAA so there is no rush, but I wouldn't hold a pitcher back if they look ready for the bigs. Sometimes it takes a pitcher 3 or more years to finally figure it all out. If this is the year Nelson figures it out that means it took him till his third year in the bigs till he finally got it together just for reference. At worst I hope he can have a bigger role as a September call-up which should be easier since he won't be playing on an elite team vs. last years Shuckers.
  15. Don't know about anyone else, but I really hope we can see Jorge Lopez for an extended look this year. Taylor Jungmann might not want to slack off much with Davies/Lopez breathing down his neck. Also think the Brewers should just cut Garza if he can't be turned into something at the deadline...though not sure they will cut the cord with so much money ties to him.
  16. Diaz and Ponce will likely shoot up quite a bit just because they are likely to have good seasons being in favorable situations. On another note whoever left Kodi Medeiros of their list...wow...I have no words.
  17. I think it is pretty clear at this point the Brewers don't want Lucroy and Lucroy doesn't really want the Brewers. An extension would be absolutely shocking at this point. The only way we let him go for comp picks is if a suitcase is dropped on his hand before this years deadline, he spends the entire offseason horribly unhealthy, and another suitcase full of rocks falls on him next July. At which point we wouldn't even offer him the qualifying offer because he is old, injury prone, and not worth the risk. I can't see this happening at all.
  18. I am taking that bet every day of the week.
  19. I don't really care what he does anywhere else because it was clear he was garbage with the Brewers and that was never going to change. So it isn't like if we held onto him he was going to get any better and change the return we got.
  20. He also hit well last April. At this point it is utterly meaningless. I really wish people would stop bringing up the sad situation with his son. He started sucking long before his son got ill.
  21. Kind of an expensive experiment seeing he already makes $3mil. Money isn't really an issue right now though so I guess it is plausible. Honestly I think he needs to turn in a 2014 type season or be moved out of the rotation. Too many other guys waiting in the wings.
  22. Trevor Bauer has really good stuff. Better than anyone in the Brewers organization by far. Is he ever going to find consistency/control? Well that is hard to say. He is the kind of guy that could suddenly find it out and become something great...he has that kind of stuff. Not saying he has incredible odds to figure it out, but you never know.
  23. I would love for Gennett to have a big year. He is just a really cool dude and good to the fans.
  24. There isn't draft coverage because the amount of people that want to divulge their lives into guys that are 18, won't be in the majors for 5 years, and quite honestly will most likely will fail is slim to none. NFL NBA drafts are more popular because those guys can make an impact right away. They will change your team for next year vs. 5 years down the road.
