  1. Unless the Dodgers are going to eat A LOT of money no thanks. Still owed $15mil. Also isn't this the guy who has some funky clause if he gets traded? Like he can opt out after the first year or something? I am honestly too lazy to look it up, but pretty sure he has something in his contract with regards to being traded.
  2. Josh Hader is a bit of a long shot to be a starter and for that reason he is going to have rankings all over the place. Honestly Hader probably isn't going to be durable enough to last as a starter. His high effort delivery, small frame, and low arm slot is a deadly combination for a starter to be effective long term. That said a lot of people doubted a guy like Tim Lincecum so Hader isn't doomed to be in the bullpen. Though even if he does make it as a starter how long will he be effective?....well probably not too long. On a more unrelated note every updated list makes even more mad we didn't draft AJ Reed in 2014. I am sure a lot of you guys have guys you really wanted the Brewers to draft and they didn't...well AJ Reed is my guy. Wanted him badly at #41, we instead went with Jake Gatewood, and AJ Reed went #42. Still mad to this day.
  3. A guy who was absolutely horrendous in 128 at-bats to start his career. This player also only managed a single homerun and struck out in 33%+ of his at-bats. Both happen to be products of the Padres too: http://www.baseball-reference.com/players/r/rizzoan01.shtml
  4. http://www.cbssports.com/mlb/eye-on-baseball/25465155 CBS is a fan....though really just because of the logo. The Royals hat is pretty clever and cool too.
  5. With such little snow in the Milwaukee area this weekends warm temps and rain might melt away a lot of the current snow. Thus exposing the ground and leading to higher temps for Tuesday/Wednesday. Temps are already borderline and they could be pushed higher to make more of a rain event vs. snow.
  6. Interesting Fact: The M and barley logo you all love so much(me too) actually isn't even considered our main logo. The main logo is the one with the baseball with "Brewers" going over it.
  7. I doubt Shane Peterson stays...though I think that about a lot of people who end up taking the assignment. I just feel like he would have a better opportunity somewhere else. In all honesty Shane Peterson wasn't bad at all.
  8. Good another flyer with no options for a nobody that will likely never make an impact at the MLB level. Can't lose here.
  9. *Snow amount predictions Really all that needs to be said is, "Possibility for large snowstorm next week."
  10. Snow predictions at this point are utterly pointless. Just in the last 4 hours Kenosha went from 7-11 inches to 2-4 inches. Between temperature prediction changes and the track of the storm it will likely look way different in nearly a week.
  11. So pretty much the current retro BP top they wear? Just a slight change here and there.
  12. Sunday whether on the road or at home.
  13. That is a joke right? Missed the blue font? Would probably be a great marketing opportunity.
  14. Thank you for that clarification. Makes a lot more sense.
  15. Honestly, that's not a bad idea. Brewer fans will buy stuff no matter what it is because we are Brewer fans. Brewers unlike Packers, are lucky that they do not have tradition to stick to & can rebrand anyway they want. I see nothing wrong with bandwagon fans, doubling merchandising sales, & bringing in the younger generations. I have liked Marlins since my early teens in large part due to their jerseys (Josh Beckett & Miguel Cabrera helped that). DBacks, Rays, Giants, Rockies (when they started the vest jersey trend) are some other teams I like better due their branding. That and way they develop their own players. I like Astros a whole lot better since their rebrand. Never underestimate the good a great rebrand, color scheme, logo & design can do. I sure wouldn't mind a rebrand or a modern movement. I just know some people would lose their minds if they went that direction. For me the current uniforms are nothing amazing. I don't hate them, but they aren't amazing by any means. I know a lot of people hate the Brewers font/script, but I don't mind it that much. I guess it would be easier to make such an opinion if I/we could see what a new logo/scheme looks like. A lot of teams have tried to change and flopped...mainly teams in the NFL.
  16. Haha looking at them that is so true. The use of yellow instead of gold is what does it.
  17. Couldn't disagree less. I see people say this way too much and it makes no sense. Zack Greinke was garbage(for his standards) with Lucroy catching him in Milwaukee. Last year with a catcher that had little MLB experience and catching Greinke for the first time had one of the best seasons in recent memory by a starter. If anything Lucroy's track record of catching Greinke is a negative. In my opinion it means nothing though. Greinke's numbers with Lucroy catching are 3.47 ERA, 1.20 WHIP, 10.0 K/9, 2.4 BB/9. Greinke's career numbers are 3.35 ERA, 1.18 WHIP, 8.1 K/9, 2.2 BB/9. Seem pretty similar to me. In fact, Greinke's best season in terms of K/9 was with Lucroy catching. I don't put a whole lot of stock into who's catching making a big difference but he was not "garbage" (even by his standards) with Lucroy behind the plate. Zack Greinke has 4 incredible seasons none of which were with Lucroy that is the point. It's not like Greinke was having career years with Lucroy. Nothing about Lucroy makes you want to run out to overpay and get him to pair with Greinke.
  18. Maybe they should hire the D Backs designers or the Oregon designers. Get the Oregon people over here and will will have bandwagon fans everyone on looks alone. Might as well appeal to the younger generation. (Yes I am not serious)
  19. Over the Braves? No thanks...hard to compete with all that talent they have at the top of the system. Brewers have a lot of complementing prospects, but I think I would take the Braves system in a heartbeat. System ranking are a total crapshoot though.
  20. Couldn't disagree less. I see people say this way too much and it makes no sense. Zack Greinke was garbage(for his standards) with Lucroy catching him in Milwaukee. 21. I'd also like to add this doesn't give the Brewers too many jerseys. They are actually going down in jersey total. This will replace the gold jersey AND the road navy.
  22. Hmm...a navy cap with the ball and glove logo. It is just an alternate jersey though I don't think it means much. These alternate jerseys are like little jump starts to jersey sales. It is just a new look to bring a little interest. I don't envision a full out rebranding type move. I can't help but wish this is a sign the ball and glove logo could possibly become the main logo again. If they are bold enough to change the colors like this maybe it could become the main logo? Maybe they could go to more basic/block lettering with the ball and glove logo for their jerseys... Alright back to reality.
  23. If Braun had good value I am pretty sure he would be long gone. It has been reported on a few occasions the Brewers would LOVE to get rid of Braun. Seems like the value isn't there if teams aren't knocking down the door. Also I am pretty confident Lucroy has more value than Arcia. We may not ever get what Lucroy is worth, but strictly looking at his value I think he is worth close to Arcia plus some more.
  24. I hope they don't vote to permanently ruin NL baseball based on a marginal advantage in a couple of rebuilding seasons. I was looking at it more like now we have to guys who could really use the DH spot that might have more value on the trade market. Davis to avoid his defense and Braun to hopefully cut down on his injuries.
