  1. In a land long long ago, Tyrone Taylor was our #2 prospect for two years straight.
  2. Jeez, he seems destined for an entire season of basically pen work at that rate.
  3. Why are you even a fan? Correction, you really aren’t a fan it seems…so why do you follow the Brewers just to be negative and try to spread your misery? I mean this is just troll level posting.
  4. Getting an out and guy advances to third > Guy gaps it and a run scores. A strong arm is nice...but I think it gets overrated how many of those situations really exist where a difference would be made. Many guys have a strong arm and a have the accuracy of a 10 year old. Then a lot of the deficiency is offset when a team runs on them and get out.
  5. Could always flip them if that is the concern as Mitchell has a strong arm.
  6. I mean, I am sure he will be. I don't think the Brewers really want him starting nor do I think they plan on him doing so very long. The Brewers are probably like most fans and plan on Mitchell/Frelick manning CF/RF a matter of weeks into the season. If one of Mitchell/Frelick suck...Taylor isn't the worst emergency starter to have. They could find someone else at the deadline if need be.
  7. He is a nice 4th OF...but that is about all I would want him to be. Doesn't know what a walk is, his favorite letter is 'K', and he tries to either trot around the bases or go back to the dugout when he is batting. It is like Wily Adames, but way less talented.
  8. $86 after a RSN fee for the cheap fuboTV option, YouTube TV is $80/$85 with Bally depending on if you do yearly or not. However, the YouTubeTV channel lineup is a lot better and more comparable to the (what is now) $97 fuboTV. I like the ability to cancel Bally at will though...so I will test that out and hope it streams well. If not I suppose I could do Fubo for the Brewers season and then revert back to YoutubeTV after since I don't care about the Bucks.
  9. Frelick has already talked about being at AAA to start the year and he is bailing out for the WBC. I doubt he is even a consideration for the OD roster barring injuries. A prospect doesn’t go play around in the WBC if he actually has a chance to make the roster. That would just be idiotic on their part.
  10. Not necessarily to replace them, but the Badgers guards are tiny, Wahl isn't a very large forward, and Crowl isn't that much better despite being 7 feet tall. Then when one of those guys go to the bench...wowzer. That isn't to say they aren't good or aren't good defensively...but the Badgers have literally nothing on the team to come off the bench and they have no way to shake things up if Crowl/Wahl can't score on a more imposing big man or if they are struggling to defend one. Their two wins they have had since the losing barrage started...tiny teams. Pretty much every loss has come at the hands of teams running triple forwards. I didn't even look at comparing benches, which surely Wisconsin is always at a size disadvantage. No wonder they are getting outrebounded by large margins and often times allowing quite a few more FTs.
  11. He was kinda fun to watch hammer bomb after bomb during a very poor year for the Brewers and after years of some pretty bad 1B play.
  12. Extra Fees? You must be talking about Cable, surely. I am pretty sure the 'broadcast fee' is where they charge for RSNs etc. At least that is how it shows up if you try to buy AT&T's service. People aren't paying an extra fee. RSNs off streaming services keep steaming services cheaper. Instead of the streaming service being like $10 more expensive, you pay $15 separately. A slight increase because Betty White down the street isn't helping fund your sports entertainment. I'd be more concerned why someone has to pay $25 to install something themselves.
  13. Pretty uphill battle for them to make the tourney. The Big Ten sucks this year and has not nor will it give them many opportunities for high-end wins. Purdue is the only ranked opponent left on the schedule. If they go 6-2, they probably set themselves up to have a chance if they do well in the big ten tourney and other fringe teams falter. But honestly, not really any reason to expect a team that can't defend their own home court to win 6 out of 8. Wahl and Crowl just aren't a great 'big men'. Which is being really generous as Wahl isn't that tall nor physical and Crowl has to be one of the least imposing 7' footers in basketball. Gard should really hit up the transfer portal and find some physical big men looking for a home.
  14. Because they want food that isn’t deliverable by the place they are ordering food from. A lot of people use it in bigger cities because A) they don’t have time to pick it up themselves (like most people on a 30min lunch) and B) they don’t own a car. I think I have done it twice in my life, both of which in massive snowstorms. Once was because I wanted Sushi and the other time I wanted Pizza at a place doesn’t deliver themselves. Im more of a pickup person though. Only times I ever get delivery is in a massive snowstorm or if I just got home after a big road trip and getting back in my car is not happening. Even direct from a pizza place makes a $12 order quickly $10+ more. Either I am ordering pizza to be cheap or I might as well just go sit down to eat versus a fee+tip.
  15. Yeah, he would not be leaving camp if he had any real chance to make the OD roster.
  16. Yeah, he would not be leaving camp if he had any real chance to make the OD roster.
  17. Yeah, there is no reason places should be blacked out and have literally no way to even access the games if they wanted. That’s just dumb.
  18. $65 + $20 = $85 $100 + $0 = $100 Why not just go with the Bally route? What are you gaining that is worth $15 a months. As to Brock’s comment: That’s my point. The only issue with the Bally route currently is the blackout rules make it goofy in some locals. Can Bally not just open up the subscription to anyone? There must be something goofy with their cable contracts not allowing it or something. To be honest, Bally being on cable and then dishing this subscription to streamers is probably the best route for profits and getting it accessible to everyone. The entire problem with it being on streaming services is the fact in that demographic not a lot of people need that channel and it is cutting into streaming service profits and/or raising their prices. It really is the best of both worlds. Streaming services can stay well under the price of cable and streaming fans that want RSNs can still access it while saving boatloads of money over getting cable still.
  19. If Rodgers really carried chips around on his shoulder he would have demanded a trade after the Packers drafted Love and he had a MVP season. Leaving the Packers to look about as dumb as the Red Sox when they traded Babe Ruth. If his ego is that inflated I am sure he would love to show up the 49ers by getting them that Super Bowl after all these years without one after they decided not to draft him. The 49ers have ran such a great franchise over the years and have put it in a great position...just haven't gotten the QB to make the difference. Why start blowing draft picks and giving up on promising rookie contract guys to get Rodgers who may or may not have something left in the tank? It is a fun trade to imagine or plug into Madden...not sure the 49ers would really consider it. They might have fooled around with Brady for a year, because Brady.
  20. I mean...yah, if it is a nice city with a great downtown atmosphere. Also helps, as you mentioned, if there is sweet public transit. You can go to a game in St. Louis zoom from the airport to the stadium, and never need a car....could probably fly from Wisconsin to St Louis, watch a game, and fly back all in the same day. Milwaukee isn't what those other cities are nor are the handful of cool things in Milwaukee anywhere near each other. If you could go plop an outdoor stadium on the lake and surround it with the good parts of Milwaukee....that would be pretty cool on paper (not that an outdoor stadium would sell many tickets). But like Fiserv? There isn't that much around it for being downtown and you would have to drive. Then hoping your window isn't smashed out or at least that your car is still there. I think the Brewers made the best decision in the city they are in and the crowd they have to attract.
  21. The amount of backdoor payments, especially related to shoe sponsors was probably epic before even though teams rarely got caught for anything. Of course, now you just have NIL stuff so I doubt it is as widespread as it maybe once was. Back then you just needed $5-$10k to convince some kid to go to a certain school...because you could only take so much without getting caught...and it wasn't exactly easy to find the cash on the black market of recruiting.
  22. Bally did this already, but everyone thinks bally is the worst thing ever. Actually, Bally is even better as it combines MLB/NBA/NHL (plus even more depending on local) for the same exact price. Just clamor for all the networks to do what Bally is doing. Then all you need to do is allow people to subscribe to any of the subscriptions within their blackout region. Because right now Bally is still a bit odd in those overlapping blackout areas. Your option gets to be the Royals. That’s really what is dumb and makes no sense. How do you get blacked out and it isn’t even possible the get that team on TV no matter what you try and do? I imagine the Brewers aren’t on cable subscriptions in Iowa.
  23. Feels like the Badgers have wisely went away from that, no? Sitting as a freshman is pretty common these days or minimal playing time. But most aren’t going to be happy with a second year of hardly playing. The issue Wisconsin has is they aren’t developing and churning out NBA talent, nor are the prospects coming in exactly expected to be that kind of potential. Thus, guys will be quick to jump ship for playing time because, well, their college career is the climax of their career. Probably a good reason why they tends to recruit as locally as possible where guys will be more loyal and not treat it as a business transaction.
  24. I suppose I might have misinterpreted what he had meant when he said developmental program. As the conversation was largely talking about guys bailing and transferring out, I took it as basically ending up a “farm system” for teams…but I suppose he probably just meant their concept of recruit guys, develop them over 3+ years versus starting as a freshman. But again, that concept isn’t unique to Wisconsin. Every team in basketball does that these days. So I don’t see where the disadvantage is that is making it a reason for the Badgers struggles. Every team deals with the same transfer drama.
  25. Poorly in a good way. Haha They are getting destroyed on the glass though. Might want to fix that at half before OSU stops turning it over like it is going out of style.
