  1. I believe there was just a button that said 'sarcasm' or something then it inserted the basic coding bracket command that you had to type inside of. I wasn't easier to do, but the button was a little more obvious to an idiot on a phone. Once you figure it out, I think the new site is easier to post on with a phone in the grand scheme. Trying to imbed tweets/links before sucked. I could never do it right...now the site just does the brain power for me. ?
  2. I am relieved we can't afford to hand Adames $190mil. I would have to pandemic hoard popcorn to watch that unfold over the years.

  4. I think you actually have this backwards. Opting out now looks like a brilliant decision and the worst thing to have done would have been to stay in the previous contract. The injury concern isn't for the next two years, it is for 5 years from now. He could be healthy the next two years and that really wouldn't make his medicals long term look any better. He has been healthy the last three years straight (including the benefit of a short 2020 season). Being healthy clearly didn't prove anything. He has nothing he can prove the next two years. The only thing he could do is decline or have injury issues and really not get any kind of long-term deal.
  5. Nice to see Quero get some defensive credit. Having a 19 year old catcher hitting well at A/A+ and being well known for his defense is pretty darn rare. Usually, you hit the lottery if he can do one of those things well. Of all our prospects (which seemed really common on these lists) I am surprised he didn't garner any 'underrated' votes. He did amazing all while barely playing in 2021 due to injuries and still being promoted
  6. The Big 12 currently has every team in the Top 60 NET Ratings. The average is about 26 for the conference...the next closest conference is in the mid-50s. Even with their soon to be new look conference adding Houston (#1), UCF (#32), BYU (#96), and Cincy (#99) that is still bonkers. That would be the only conference with everyone in the Top 100. Every other conference has at least three teams in the 100+ range except the Big Ten. The Big Ten only has Minnesota (#235) to carry.
  7. I don't think they get absolutely clowned, but I imagine it would have ended up similar to a lot of other title games where it is a solid 18-24 point game that never felt super close for most of it. Michigan can beat OSU, but that is inter-conference and someone they are used to playing. I don't think those comparable opponents always translate in reality.
  8. This post got me to thinking of how to even use blue font. I now see it is the 'Sa' button. Which you would never know on a phone because you can't hover over it to see 'sarcasm' pop up. You also have to type out your message first, highlight, and then hit it. I don't recall how it was before the site change, but I don't recall it being as difficult or as non-obvious to use as it is now.
  9. Jackson Chourio is hyped up for the same reason Orlando Arcia was. He is really young and hitting well against much older competition. Orlando Arcia catapulted himself after hitting to the tune of an .800+ OPS at AA, while only being 20 years old. I would argue Orlando Arcia was just as hyped of a prospect, if not more. Arcia's MiLB stats in 2022 terms don't seem impressive, but people often forget he was coming up before (or at the start) of the huge boom of realizing the Dominican was loaded with SS talent. In 2015 (when Arcia was smoking AA ball) MLB only had two SSs with a WAR over 3.1 according to Fangraphs. Now 13 players at SS have a WAR over 3.1. Arcia's plus plus glove along with a bat that could be average or better...that easily looked like a player to be Top 5 at the most premium position in baseball. Of course, he disappointed, but that was only half the problem of him not living up to his prospect potential. SS went from a position with no talent, to one of the most talent rich positions in baseball.
  10. True. I don’t think TCU lost the championship game either. Just beat themselves. In all honesty, Michigan gave up 51 points to a team Georgia held to 7 points. Michigan would have gotten absolutely slaughtered too.
  11. Correa would have gone missing in the Bermuda triangle had he accepted that. Player Union would have had a stroke.
  12. As far as a Rodgers trade, I don't know that is really an option. Not for money reasons, but I don't actually know that Aaron Rodgers would be even interested in that. Some of his comments after the season make me think it is a GB return or retirement. Correcting reporters saying, "Well it isn't just what I want, they would have to want me back too." gives me the vibe he probably isn't going to seek out a trade. If the Packers said they wanted him to hit the road, I think he would just pick retirement over trying to do a trade. If Aaron Rodger's ego is as big as some make it, he probably doesn't want to get traded for a 2nd round draft pick.
  13. For all we know, he has already been extended. If not, it will either get done or it is possible Counsell may be wanting to step down after the season. If he ends up a lame duck, I think it is by Counsell's choice.
  14. Can't even get a close championship game 50% of the time.
  15. The free shipping is slower. Free…but definitely slower. They just wait days extra to fulfill it and ship it out. If you are actually getting something 2-day prime guaranteed and it ends up taking longer you can complain. Either the item is refunded (you get it still) or they extend your membership a month for free.
  16. Except a Big 12 team beat the Big Ten team in the playoff…so maybe it won’t be bad afterwards. It will be interesting to see what happens when the playoff expands and the Big 12 gets an auto bid. Definitely could see a team just retaking the dominance OU had and just be way above the rest of the conference. Getting to be in the playoffs every year and the exposure could be real attractive to recruits. Not sure a school has the money/NIL to do it though.
  17. Did your internet cut out and this was suppose to say ‘like 45-17 at halftime’? If so…close
  18. I’m relieved college basketball has been and still easy pretty darn competitive and balanced. Im not even sure how people can honestly be fans of these elite college football teams. It doesn’t even feel like an accomplishment to win it all.
  19. Yah, blocking people just doesn't work in actuality. Just because someone responds to your post doesn't mean you gotta go respond. There are many times I can tell someone is just baiting me (or someone else for that matter) and responding isn't going to lead to a productive conversation. Many like to make cryptic comments that are just subtle shots at a poster for being wrong. In those cases, best everyone avoids the bait at that point.
  20. People are really trying to fuel it is the end of the Rodgers era because he opted not to swap jerseys (I don't think he has ever done it) with a rookie WR with 41 yards receiving the entire year. LOL
  21. He has a few mega idiotic things on his record now...but no need to make it more than it is. He isn't stomping on people nor is he trying to decapitate defenseless receivers. He is far from the only guy in football that does really dumb stuff to draw 15 yard flags...he just found a unique and new way to be dumb by shoving people that aren't even players. Pretty poor timing with what happened last week, but then again, the Steelers did a CPR celebration this week. Stupidity runs rampant in the NFL. I mean people think it is funny Jamaal Williams can't even form a coherent sentence. Expecting NFL players to be smart is really asking for a lot.
  22. The entire thing is a mess. Even if they were to go with Love, it looks dysfunctional. A) They go with love and keep MLF. Which won't go well because MLF is trash...but Love has been sitting there learning his system for darn near a half decade. B) They go with Love and dump the entire coaching staff because it is rightfully a pile of garbage. Now you have Love waiting all those years to suddenly have to learn an entire system in his first year starting. Then you won't know if he is bad or just needs to learn the system...but would quickly need to pay him lots of money when he could in reality be Zach Wilson. The best way to win a Super Bowl would be to go with Rodgers. Rodgers could easily rebound next year and it wouldn't even be slightly shocking. Tom Brady hasn't exactly been consistently great in his old age...he has certainly seen his fair share of 'cooked' years. Rodgers didn't look overly special this year, but what a disaster situation with the WRs and the OL being swiss cheese majority of the year. Doubt they would make it, but certainly would have a chance going into the year. The best long-term thing is to go with Love and keep MLF...but I don't know that I have any confidence at this point that MLF can take a team to a Super Bowl. He had MVP Rodgers two years and didn't...and constantly was a big reason for helping blow games. MLF with a more human QB (like 2022 Rodgers)? Couldn't even make the playoffs.
  23. I mean the first sentence makes absolutely zero sense as you acknowledged anyone trading for Burnes better be expecting to make the postseason...Astros or not. Outside of that, if we trade Burnes to a playoff team in the AL and somehow find ourselves with the huge problem of facing them in the postseason...I think we will be okay with that risk. ?
  24. I feel like you are looking at that incident in way too much of a Packers bias way. If you are calling what the trainer did as pushing him, then Quay did launch that guy off his feet. The trainer was just trying to get around him and in front of him....because, well, Quay had no business or need to be that close. I was going to give him a slight pass as maybe he didn't know it wasn't a player and it was a bit reactionary, but he cleared looked and saw exactly who he was pushing around. Would you defend a player if they shoved every time a ref grabs them or pushes them away from somewhere they don't need to be? Because I don't see any difference and I can't imagine that wouldn't draw a flag either. And I am pretty sure they did review the clip and the refs upstairs scrambled to get him ejected like he deserved. I can't recall anyone ever touching a training staff member...let alone pushing them. The fact he did it a week after a guy had to be brought back to life on the field thanks in part to the guys on a training staff was the cherry on the top to one of the dumbest things anyone has seen all year.
