  1. I had never heard of this before. Lots of familiar names on the Stars' roster https://nbcbaseball.com/kansasstars/
  2. What the heck, I'm going with 20-7. Time for the Brewers to get HOT.
  3. Love it. I'd been silently hoping for this most of the season. Welcome home JJ.
  4. One would have to hope that by now this piece of "journalism" has been printed on poster paper and hung in the Brewers locker room.
  5. Jeff Kellogg seemed like a cub fan behind the plate to me. Several instances of same spot, different call favoring chi.
  6. No, Schwarber is one of the first guys you'll want to see there. Can't touch the high heat to save his life. Rock, as always, wanted a pitch in the dirt to Schwarber. Brilliant idea, Bill, especially with a runner on 3rd in a 1 run game. Thankfully, high heat is what was brought instead.
  7. I had a terrible feeling from the 8th on. What a relief.
  8. I thought with Hader loose he should have at least had him face Rizzo in the 9th. But nope.
  9. I had to wait a few minutes to gain composure so as not to run afoul of the cuss filter. I hope CC learned from the mistakes he made in the bottom of the 8th. http://i1.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/newsfeed/000/003/866/nfNeT7YvTozx0cv7ze3mplZpo1_500.gif
  10. Hah I hadn't even seen your post. My gut reaction was that they were protecting some Harper Nats Park record, but it turns out the record belongs to Morse at 465'. In any case, I figure it had to be around 400' or more from home plate to the 3rd deck mezzanine that ball blasted into, and it wasn't slowing down. 427' my foot.
  11. Minor gripe here, but I don't for one second buy that estimate of 427' on Thames' HR last night.
  12. This trade reminds me a lot more of when we traded Chris Dickerson for Sergio Mitre to be honest.
  13. I'm just wondering if anybody has heard anything regarding his rehab. He had his rotator cuff surgery in April of '16, so I was hoping he might be ready to pitch this summer.
  14. I'm just thankful the Phillies put on a little league show for us after walking Braun, otherwise this game would have been like stepping on a rake.
  15. On the other hand, RobDeer, I get some strange looks when I wave to strangers while I'm visiting Madison. It always takes me a few days to curb my small town habits.
  16. That's baseball. When things are going your way, it's fun. When things aren't going your way, it all goes against you. Bad calls, opponent bloop RBIs, and all the other shakes that can go against you. Until today, the Dodgers, Red Sox and Brewers were the only teams in MLB to not be swept this season (I don't really count 2 game series as a sweep.) Will the Brewers nosedive from here on? I don't know but I doubt it. It's going to take a lot more than this for me to pull the pin on 2017.
  17. I thought Perez was safe too. Hell, so did Perez. I think Counsell needed to ask for a review.
  18. After Piña didn't come through you had to know the inning was over with.
  19. I sure thought Nick Franklin should give up on batting right handed.
  20. Balls 1-3 were a hair inside. Fortunately Freese opted to keep the bat on his shoulder for the rest of the AB.
  21. That pickoff could be big with Vogt behind the plate today. Hopefully gives the Pirates some pause about running. Vogt's arm won't.
