Might be a tad early but so far it is sure exciting to see. It gives me hope and belief that Milwaukee may indeed have good scouting and organizational craftiness. -

What I saw of the last AB for Domingo, his face and body language looked lost, lacking any confidence....And then he cranked one. Really good to see. Confidence booster, salvaged AB in its finest. I also loved how Davies battled back after the initial blowups early on. Sure, we lost, and to a really good team. But, I liked some of the things I was seeing from guys. This set of Brewers is a team that is going to take time to come together and play well this year. I think that come late summer they are going to start to give us a taste of what is to come. This is exciting.

For me, I don't like the beer prices but I am able to justify buying one. Here's why: Part of the ball game tradition I grew up with is bringing a big bag of peanuts to the game. For me, peanuts in the shell are just part of the experience of a Brewers game. Obviously they create a thirst that must be quenched with something. Pop costs 5-6 bucks and I don't even like it. So for a few dollars more I can get a beer. Therefore, I prefer to think of it as a 24oz beer costs $3 at Miller Park. With that said though, if those prices are indicative of the hikes all around, I think it is time to re-think my cost analysis for 2017 games.

Caleb Smith has been given back to NYY. I certainly am happy to see that our little favor we did for the cubs in the Rule 5 draft did not come around to be of benefit to their team.

There's a lot to be excited about this season. Some debuts are going to happen this year that will captivate all of us. I'm excited for another summer of poring over the Link Report. Yep, do what you want. With that said, though.... 1) I'd only wear another team's hat if I were desperate for a hat to wear in the sun. 2) Friends who wear other other teams' gear get all the ribbing they've got coming to them. -
Baldkin, where have you found walk up songs for past Brewers? I'd love to be able to find out who had what for songs through the years.

I did some more reading after my knee-jerk reaction to the extra inning rule idea. BOOOOOooooooo. It is a scheme to implement a new rule in MLB, and personally I think it's a terrible, terrible rule. Once in a while, extra inning games go on for a really long time, and that's one of the many things that makes baseball such an intriguing sport. You just never know what is going to happen. It's been awesome for a long time. Stop trying to get cute. And Joe Torre is on board with this, I would have expected more from him.

I'm ok with this rule so long as they leave it in rookie leagues, only and forever. Don't try to use this as a gateway to sneak it further along and into MLB. I'm very leary of any change after the way they got the door open a crack with replay and it gained momentum to become the train wreck it is now.

I can't see any candidates at this time. Next offseason, there are a number of players who depending on their 2017 season, could make a lot of sense. Right now, I wouldn't look to extend anybody.

I'd want no part of that trade, but I will give credit where it is due. Szczur's story of donating bone marrow, risking his college football glory and baseball draft to help a kid 6,000 miles away is inspirational and heartwarming. He's one cub I can root for.

I'd love to see it happen. I think it would need a team with mostly/all young unknowns and possibly some reclamation projects as well for their staff. Nobody who would chirp about trying something new. AND, this group would have to have enough talent to make it a success. Not the half-hearted attempts that have been made in the past by the Rockies, and before that by TLR when he was with Oakland. Those staffs would not have been successful in any usage format. IF that perfect storm came together and a team had a successful season with it, you can bet others would copycat.
