  2. There we go. That's got to be somewhat deflating for those chicago fans.
  3. Pitcher on deck and Happ looks lost. Do not throw a strike.
  4. I'd probably rather he just walk him here now that it's 3-0
  5. It's really hard to tell if the tag was on him before or after his knee got on the plate. Lead foot definitely didn't touch home.
  6. Agreed. Darvish's breaking pitches look like they would be misery for a right handed hitter today.
  7. If you had Zach Davies striking out the side in the first, congratulations, you just won a brand new Chrysler Cordova you can pick up at Morty's office.
  8. For out of towners, today's game will be on FS1. Lucky me!
  9. I just saw that there are going to be some upcoming games available on Facebook Watch via MLB Live. Brewers games announced so far: 4/11 vs crads, and 5/30, again vs the crads. https://www.nbcnewyork.com/news/local/Mets-Phillies-Game-Live-Facebook-How-to-Watch-Facebook-MLB-Baseball-New-York-478668513.html?utm_source=fark&utm_medium=website&utm_content=link&ICID=ref_fark
  10. In that case I'm going with Lance Blankenship
  11. I wish I could have watched this one today, but no TV for me out here in Nightmute. Thrilled to be busting out the broom right away this year!
  12. Thanks for the video trwi7. Here's your description, liveforoctober. Anderson attempted to give home plate a kiss as gratitude for scoring the first of many runs this season. Bad to kiss and tell, worse to kiss and run. But to kiss WHILE running....well, that takes a Brewer.
  13. I'm going with: 86-76 Playoffs: Yes. Win the wild card, lose the division series 3-2 All Star Game Representatives: Hader, Yelich, and one of Arcia/Shaw Offensive player of the Year: Yelich Pitcher of the year: Anderson Most Surprising Player: Junior Guerra Most disappointing player: Villar Home run leader: Thames 36 Team MVP: Cain
  14. Yesterday I was disappointed to learn that the term "off-piste" did not at all mean what I had supposed it might mean.
  15. That's my first thought. I appreciate what he did last year, but he's such a limited player it makes him expendable at this point. The only way I forsee him remaining a Brewer is if any one of Braun, Thames, Yelich, Cain or Santana get hurt during the first 8 games. Or Aguilar himself, I suppose.
  16. Briggs you seriously need to stop bashing Villar at every opportunity you get. We get it. You don't like him. However, there was no way that he was getting non-tendered. I didn't see any Villar bashing in that post. The way I read it, he's saying with hindsight, he'd prefer to have Walker at 1/$4m at 2b instead of the combination of Sogard 1/$2.4m and Villar 1/$2.55m. I can certainly understand that opinion.
  17. Braun did a nice job with that high throw from Arcia and applied the tag no problem.
  18. '93-'04 were some tough years, but I can look back on them and laugh now. If the Brewers ever win the WS, I can easily handle 9 losing seasons if that is the price to be paid. Winning records are nice but no number of them is any substitute for a championship.
  19. Personally, I think the Luc comments re: Milwaukee get a bit blown out of proportion by many, and I think he gets a lot of undeserved ill feelings from some fans. His comments might not have sounded very "good" to some but you have to take it within the context of the situation that was at hand. It was clear he was going to be a big trade piece for our rebuilding team. He knew which way the wind was blowing. He openly wanted to be traded to a team with a legit shot at contending. There's nothing damning about that. He always was a guy that was pretty candid in his interviews, etc. I always just saw him as a guy saying how he felt, and what he felt was not much different than what just about anybody in his situation at the time probably would have felt. I also can't fault him for blocking the trade. Just a guy trying to do what he thought was best in my opinion. No need to vilify the guy, he was a good Brewer. Part of me hoped he'd be back.
  20. It was nice to watch Griep get the 9th today in the loss. Had a pretty good inning although he got away with a hanger to Ramon Flores. Slider was a really nice looking pitch, and he mixed up the timing of his delivery to keep hitters off balance.
