  1. It’s funny when you think about it, losing to Minnesota is what cost them a National Championship
  2. A little. But even the best of decisions can still potentially blow up in your face. That's what I'm always hoping happens for the cubs.
  3. I'm looking forward to the last few years of this deal where the Brewers are getting superior production from some kid that's in elementary or middle school right now, than the Mets are getting from Soto. For about $50 million a year less.
  4. I feel the same way about Craig Yoho. I'm hoping he comes out to the March of the Winkies from the Wizard of Oz.
  5. It's a shame he never once led the league in HBP.
  6. At one point on here years back, somebody used Walsh as a verb to describe a batter refusing to swing, and mentally it's stuck with me to the point where I still think of it as "Walshing it" when someone stands there while strike 3 goes straight down the middle.
  7. After some thought I've come up with some ideas for this. Golden batter once per team per series, and same applies for the yang to its yin, the golden pitcher. Both must be declared prior to the series start. The golden pitcher can operate outside of the restrictions of the minimum batter rule, and doesn't impact the pitcher he replaces nor his own eligibility for the rest of the game if he only faces the golden batter. One caveat though, in order to use the golden batter or pitcher, he must have cut an 80's pro wrestling style promo on the other team's golden player, brother. Aside from that, I like all of Underachiever's ideas. Particularly the Designated Goon. So many great potential candidates, including some sneaky under the radar low-cost ones for a cash strapped team like the Brewers.
  8. I HATE the ghost runner.
  9. I haven't watched a Jets game broadcast from MetLife in I don't know how long. If I attended a game there (which I never would) I'd probably have nightmares from the PA carrying on. So obnoxious even with the sound turned down.
  10. Kind of disappointed in the internet, or my surfing ability thereof. I wanted to find a video or gif of Wisconsin dancing on the O at the Horseshoe in '99 when they came back from 17-0 to win it 42-17.
  11. You mean, how do they afford to pay a new coach worth a darn if they're paying Fickell the $6.47m or whatever the sam hill it is AAV buyout for the next 5 years? I have no idea.
  12. Man oh man, the announcers just missed a golden opportunity to utter the phrase "complimentary football."
  13. At some point they might get to try kicking a field goal hopefully.
  14. Have to get something going here. Have to have some guts and ability to execute.
  15. Depressing. Might be Dad's last game too and he's had season tickets since Alvarez began. Cites disgust with play, transfer, loud dj, night games, friday games. Hate to see the era end with a pitiful game vs rodents on a cold day.
  16. Yup that was a good one. Bucky is good at these invitationals.
  17. If any of you had "broken shot clock" on your bingo card for today, congrats. I think you win.
  18. Evidently the grill is on hiatus. So Fickell's clearly got his work cut out for him.
  19. McCalvy's Tales of Murph article from Tuesday is worth a read for a few chuckles if you haven't already taken a look.
  20. This year's not over with yet. The Badgers still play Minnesota. That game, for example, means more to me than whatever mayonaise, potato, snack food, lawnmower or income tax service bowl they might be fortunate enough to find themselves in.
  21. True. But personally I don't care that much about bowls anyways, at least the mickey mouse ones. I care about conference play and beating rivals.
  22. Alright offense, find a way. Go get that score. I hate Oregon.
  23. Get a TD here and the Badgers really have a shot at this.
  24. I hate holds like that. So obvious, they'll get you every time for that.
