I remember that day and that game well, listening on the radio out fishing with Dad. What a great day. -
One month later, the Rockies have gotten "hot" going 5-23 over their next 28 games, for a 9-48 record and a -177 run differential. For those wondering, the worst run differential since 1900 was turned in by the 1932 Red Sox at -349. So Colorado's over halfway to making history after only playing 57 games. The worst modern era record is still very much in play, too.

This was a new one for me. Over the weekend I had a bad fever and then started having a painful spot above my collar bone with a little lump in it. Figured maybe it was a pissed off lymph node from being sick. Then skin around it turned red and warm. By Monday it was about the size of two cracked eggs in a pan, so off to the ER I went. They determined I had an infection and antibiotics are helping, although I can still feel the lump. no cuts, scratches or scrapes, so how on earth an infection like that would start up, I have absolutely no idea. But something like that can take down a healthy person for good. You just never know what kind of little goody is waiting around the corner.

Yes, seems we've all had the class delinquency dream. A recurring one I've had hundreds of times is finding money, then going to count it after I've picked it all up, and it turns out to be play money like from Monopoly. To the point where generally I sniff it out in the dream and can become lucid at that point. And likewise, if I happen to find money in my waking life, I do a quick reality check to make sure I am in fact awake.

Since it "worked" on Wednesday, I decided to redo that breakfast again today. Tasty if nothing else.

Yesterday's grocery trip brought a pleasant surprise. Here at the AC store in Bethel, Alaska they had just gotten in cheese curds, all the way from Ellsworth, WI. Don't ask what they cost, doesn't matter. This morning for breakfast I had half a leftover Reuf's brat, kraut, potato salad and cheese curds. Whether or not that voodoo can help the Crew get their act together today is anybody's guess, but I'm trying.
