  1. I believe that was for the home run derby.
  2. The announcers have said this is like a home game for Purdue. The refs may not have heard, though.
  3. Thank you Southpaw19
  4. Southpaw, I have a clarification question. We also choose 3 bench players and DM those to you. But don't we need to account for those players' salaries on the team total $1000 threshold as well?
  5. If you're concerned about facing Michigan, just think how concerned their fans must be about having to face Wisconsin.
  6. Lol @ announcers not thinking that was a foul 🤣
  7. Wellp that's it for Fran. I have to admit, it makes me a little sad knowing I won't get to see him blow his top anymore.
  8. Hearing these commentators saying the Badgers will have to shoot 3s that well in order to have a chance vs MSU. Come on. Bucky just gave them all they could handle in their gym with a generous amount of 2nd half home cooking from the zebras and bad shooting from WI.
  9. The trade really didn't make any sense since they sent both Lee and Cruz to Texas. Trading Lee and making room for Cruz would have made sense. And then we wouldn't have had to watch Shrek as a Brewer.
  10. Good call there JFS! 😀
  11. What a nice shot by Tonje to close out the half!
  12. The officials let JMU absolutely get away with murder in that game, especially the first half. If they'd called that thing straight, half of their guys would have fouled out by halftime. That game was a joke.
  13. Traded for none other than Nelson Cruz. And Justin Lehr, who I cannot remember at all even though he pitched in 39 games for the Brewers across '05 & '06.
  14. I believe his playing days are done now. I'm glad he parlayed that nice '22 season he had with us into a good payout to finish his career. He really played a good 3B for the Brewers that summer. Also of course glad it wasn't MIL paying him $9.5m OAK signed him to.
  15. Figured it out, it's a browser issue. It wouldn't show in firefox which may or may not be due to running ghostery. With chrome it's showing. Just in case anyone else had this issue.
  16. I mean, a sweet 16 appearance would be a decent accomplishment. Of course we'd all love to see even more, but there isn't much shame in losing in the round of 16 unless you're a 1 or 2.
  17. Aramis was my first thought as well.
  18. In the wiki page from the link in the original thread, the rules section is blank. Thus, I don't know how to play.
  19. Nice find, that video was definitely worth a watch. Especially Sal's TD run where he just split the defenders and left literally everyone in the dust.
  20. This paragraph: "And finally, we can't mention Sheets without talking about his batting. Sheets had a reputation as one of the worst hitters in the league. His .076 BA backs up those claims. I used to joke that Brewer pitcher Doug Davis (who had a career BA of .083) used to thank Sheets for not making him look so bad." brings back a memory. I can't remember who they were playing or anything, but it doesn't matter. I was driving in my truck listening to the game. Brewers had someone get on base, and Sheets came up to bat. Then there was a delay, catcher mound visit, then the infield gathered around. Uecker on the broadcast said they had to get everyone together to figure out how to try to get Sheets out. I had to grab napkins out of the center console to clean the spray off the inside of my windshield 🤣
  21. FYI that wiki site link is not working.
  22. Maybe. But if they fail to keep pace, it's probably because most of the aforementioned four SP have been not good, in which case how much talent do they really bring back via trade? I think it's moot anyways. I love our chances for 2025.
  23. I'd add Rob Deer. Not because he's better than Briggs or Sixto. Just because he's Rob Deer.
